    On alanthomson.sim the route "West Coast Mainline Midlands and Northwest" (aka The Missing Link) has now published as Phase 3.

    In this version you can now take a full run from Preston to Birmingham New Street. That means that we now have the whole WCML in the train simulator - not as a single big one route (yet) - but complete over several routes that are:

    West Coast Main Line North (Glasgow - Carlisle)

    West Coast Main Line Over Shap (Carlisle - Preston)

    West Coast Main Line Midland & Northwest (Preston - Birmingham)

    West Coast Main Line South (Birmingham - London)

    West Coast Main Line: Trent Valley (Stafford - Rugby)


    The Phase 3 requirements are:

    RSC Great Eastern Mainline

    WCML Over Shap
    DTG Liverpool to Manchester

    DTG North Wales Coastal (Currently discontinued but available in copies of Train Simulator 2018)
    DTG West Coast Mainline South

    OHLE Pack [available at alanthomsonsim; Payware]
    Trent Valley*

    UKTS Blocks & Lofts / Clutter / Buildings*
    *Updates will remove these as requirements in future releases. The parts of the route using these files can be downloaded free in the supplementary files below.


    For scenarios further stuff will be needed.

    The installation overwrites earlier versions (Phase 1 + 2) so old scenarios will not work on Phase 3.


    And at last: For download you need a subscription which costs 29,99 GBP/12 month [ roundabout 33€]

    holzroller What´s North East Rails? I mean what´s the route? I´d certainly be interested if it´s some backdated route.


    In other news: Armstrong Powerhouse have updated their Class 40 and fixed the looping engine sounds in 64-Bit mode. Now it´s working just fine again. Just redownload and install.

    North London Lines BR/NSE V4

    The route presented in this package takes the route add-on released by Dovetail Games for Train Simulator 2021+, and backdates the whole route to the 1980s, before Broad Street closed and the branch to North Woolwich was first electrified. Broad Street and North Woolwich being extensions from the Dovetail Games release.


    Version 4 includes all of the above, but now with the addition of the WCML and DC lines between Watford Junction and Euston, Camden Road via Primrose Hill and the Croxley Green branch.

    Two free roams, ten standard scenarios and QuickDrive destinations are included for the whole route.


    Core Route Requirements:

    · DTG North London Line & GOBLIN Add-on (Steam)

    · DTG WCML South London—Birmingham Add-on (Steam)

    · DTG GEML London—Ipswich Add-on (Steam)

    · DTG AP Station Pack (Steam—included in Doncaster Works, Falmouth Branch, Portsmouth Direct Line, Northeast Corridor, Horseshoe Curve, Woodhead, Trains Vs Zombies 2, Western Lines of Scotland, WCML Over Shap, and Pietmaritzburg to Ladysmith.) YOU ONLY NEED AT LEAST ONE OF THESE!

    All other scenic assets are contained within the installation.

    Two interesting freeware releases from the past few weeks:


    DPS North East England V3 - Extends the route from Hartlepool to Sunderland/Middlesbrough to Lackenby and Tees Docks, so now includes York - Darlington/Middlesbrough/Sunderland, Bishop Auckland - Middlesbrough, Middlesbrough - Tees Docks/Lackenby/Nunthorpe.


    Network ScotEast Phase 1 - Combination of the E&G via Falkirk, Fife Circle and Edinburgh Suburban Lines with extensions to Ladybank, Monktonhall Jn and including the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway. The route is set in the present day, with the E&G fully electrified.

    ATS Leeds & York ECML Merge (Subscription content !)

    Leeds Lines has now combined with the south section of the ECML. Some updates includes new Peterborough layout & station, updated & improved route between Peterborough and York, OHLE, and some other stuff.

    Berks and Hants to Bristol and Penzance now in Version 2 available


    Changes:

    "Scenery between Redruth and Hayle has been added in full; the world heritage industrial area around Redruth, Pool, Camborne and Hayle is now complete.
    The rockfall shelter being built between the Parson and Clarke tunnels on the Dawlish sea wall section has been added. Nearby cliffs and sea wall have been completely remodelled and are now true to life.
    What’s known about the improvements currently being made to the Dartmoor Line between Coleford Junction and Okehampton have been replicated in BHBP. The track has been relaid with concrete sleepered welded rail. As more is know (for example about GSM – R masts) it will be added to BHBP"

    Ffestiniog & Welsh Higland Railway (FR& WHR)


    Narrow gauge route between Portmadog and Blaneau-Ffestiniog. = Phase 1

    A further part (Porthmadog to Caernarfon) is driveable included but will be updated with custom objects in Phase 2


    It´s available on Sprailways.co.uk. and cost 5,99 BP (depending on the exchange rate ~ >7€).
