I came upon this very interesting thread at the Railworks Austria forum. Read the replys from the admin.

Railworks Austria is developing for a new sim. Not TSW and not Zusi either. And since SimRail is not new either, that might not be it. So what could it realistically be? One thing i am finding increasingly strange is the ongoing silence from DTG after the beta strain of core updates. I am wondering if there is actually a TSC v2 coming. A version that will be able to load some (but not all) legacy dlc.
Why do i think this might be the case: The problem with the TSC core renewal was the “must not break any dlc” rule DTG set for themselves. But with a v2 of TSC they can break some DLC, and it will be up to developers to fix compabilities.
Why would DTG want to make a v2 of TSC? Because they were unable to do things with old tsc vore that would REALLY futureproof the core in terms of future computing (multicore, arm cpu architecture support etc…..)
Let’s see.
