I'm trying to set up a rotary switch, with four positions used, to use for the reverser. Any ideas on how to set it up? I would like it to work as following; when in position 1, reverser in position forward, position two as neutral, position 3 for position off (If applicable for the locomotive) and position 4 for the reverse position. Is it possible by using a rotary switch instead of an analog input lever?

How is the rotary switch connected to the PC?
-
Each position is connected to a port on a PoKeys interface board.
-
The problem is that TS only knows two keys for the reverser: W and S. For one position of your rotary encoder you can only define one key. So you can only use two positions out of the four. Then it acts like a two position switch. If you use a pot instead it should work, in fact like an analog lever but in a rotary wise.

Just what I was suspecting. Might not be able to use it for TrainSim as planned then, I guess
Unless there is some magical way to map it as a virtual axis.Thank you for your help

Momentary toggle switches are also useful because one can go in each direction as long as one wants. I use them for cruise control, wipers or head lights.
Tomorrow I will get an Elgato Stream Deck. I wonder how I can use it for TS.

I've got a few of them. A PZB-module, pantograph etc. Replaced the rotary with a pot instead. Miss the tactic feeling, but I'll figure something out for it.
Maybe I'll post a pic of the build later on. -
I think we should leave this thread because it is OT now. Maybe new thread or PN.

Yeah, I think there should be a Thread about this. Many people would like to use more realistic controls, and NOT a keyboard in Train Simulator. I am one of those people.
I also know Arduino and Working with Drivers Cabs and electrics is part of my employment here in Melbourne, Australia.

Hello,
the program V3.3.0.6 worked without problems for me until recently. After not using the PC for a few weeks, the button keys are not longer responding. Levers and Levers as buttons are fine.
I am using the Logitech G27 for the buttons. It works fine with other games like Omsi, TSW, etc.
I have also tried assigning the buttons of another joystick, but these also do not work.
I have verified Railworks and reinstalled the Raildriver and Joystick Interface, but to no avail.
What do I need to do to completely uninstall the Raildriver and Joystick Interface? Are there any registry entries that need to be deleted?
Thank You for any help in advance.

Running as administrator? I had the same issue and this resolved it.
-
I switched the USB ports between the joysticks and ran the program as admin.
One (or (both) of that seems to have done the trick.
Thank You.

Danach wieder in Scripts zurueck benennen!

If you can't resolve the problem, use the email at the end of the manual and contact the creator. He is very helpful.

Hello,
I have the problem with the software that it does not send any configurated Keyboard command to the simulator. It sends all axes and receives also the info of the buttn/command I want to control.
For me it looks as if the TSC (current version from steam) simply does not react on such commands. I have tried to start the Raildriver as admin, did not change. I run TSC in window mode in the X64 Version, but also tried the 32 bit and the DX12 version, no change.
I have tried different assignements different key-sends but it dod not change anything.
Did i do something wrong? did I forget something (just used the default keyboard mapping).
Thanks greetings Markus
