  • But it is good ;).

    From Backdated Train sim;

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and all that.

Time for the Christmas gift, and it's a double bill this year. Presenting:

    - The Wirral Heritage Tramway -
    - Liverpool Bogie Streamliner Tram -

This was a bit of a chicken & egg project as I had the plan for the tram first, but built the route first as I had changed plan from my original route idea, thinking that it wouldn't be ready in time for Christmas. And as such the tram doesn't exactly fit with the route but artistic licence should make it fit.

The Wirral Heritage Tramway is a 1.1km preservation tramway (I suppose you could say in TS terms it's more of a diorama than a full route) that runs from the Wirral Transport Museum sheds to the Woodside Ferry Terminal, along Birkenhead Docks. It's been fully signalled with tram signals, I've done my best to get some townscape detailing in and though it doesn't come with QuickDrive owing to its small size, it should be an interesting run for some.

    Requirements:

    - DTG Liverpool to Manchester Add-On (Steam)
    - DTG Woodhead Electric in Blue Add-On (Steam)
    - DTG Town Scenery Pack (Steam - Marketplace)
    - UK Tramway Signalling Pack https://jamesclass37.weebly.com/assets.html...
    - Ryo Standard Gauge Tram Tracks

    - MikeTrams Tram Poles

    - VP Road Pack
    http://www.vulcanproductions.co.uk/rb.html...

The Liverpool Bogie Streamliner tram is a facsimile of the Liverpool tram of the same name, based off of 869 at Crich. It drives pretty much the same as the Glasgow Coronation. It has cab/interior views, the trolley pole and seats turn to the direction of travel, and you can change the tram number in full and also the destination blind and route number using the autonumber (all listed in the manual). It also comes with headlight flares.

    Requirement:

Mike Whiteley's Blackpool Balloon Tram Pack (Latest Version)
    https://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=22759

I have also updated the Glasgow Coronation pack with a fix for the banner glass flickering, and also added the same headlight flares as present on the Liverpool Bogie Tram.

Download all of this for free from the following pages:

In a couple of days time, I will see about outlining some of the plans I have for content over the next year and beyond.

Enjoy the trams and Merry Christmas all!

  • Good afternoon !
I have made a scenario for the wonderful STWS] Wetteraunetz 90 route but I haven't worked out how to share it with the Rail-sim.de community yet :(
The English version file 40584 is hosted on UKTrainsim and I enlisted the help of a translator to make a German language version although I'm sure the translation wont be 100% (!)

A link to the German language version [GS] Infrastruktur-Zug which I have on my Mediafire is: https://www.mediafire.com/file…nfrastruktur-Zug.zip/file

If someone would like to help me through the Rail-sim.de hosting process I would be very grateful then in future I can post direct to the site.

    Kind Regards,

  • Kernow go to the relevant section in the downloads, make sure that you are logged in. If you were up loading the scenario above it would be https://rail-sim.de/forum/file…ase/1803-wetteraunetz-90/

Select add entry, top right, and a new page will appear. Fill in the relevant sections and upload the file(s). Most people upload the readme as a separate item, in addition to the one in the scenario file. Hit send, and then once the admin have checked it over, it will become live. One tip, if you fill in the sections in English with auto translate active for that page, it can sometimes change your English text in unpredictable ways when it reverts back to German. Better to go back to original language when you type in your entry. With Chrome you can easily move back and forth between original language and translation. Make sure you are in original language when you send.

  • Hello/hallo!
    I am revisiting Altenburg-Wildau v2 - memory lane (!)

I have found most of the old scenarios by dw-agency and a few others on an old HDD and have been enjoying driving an earlier version of the route.
From 430+ assets to drive these scenarios I am down to finding the last 5 missing :)

    MM\Addon\railvehicles\passenger\d-zug\1klasse_g.bin

    MM\Addon\railvehicles\passenger\d-zug\2klasse.bin

    MM\Addon\railvehicles\passenger\d-zug\gepaeckw\gepaeckw.bin

    MM\Addon\railvehicles\passenger\d-zug\schlafw.bin

These are probably all one set but as I'm unsure what they look like I can't make an informed substitution - (not life and death I know but maybe a bit of OCD creeping in)

Lastly, If anyone has the original version of Altenburg -Wildau (2007-2008?) Then I would love to hear from you ;)

    Regards,

  • I just saw this on GÜ Studios Website about the Breckland Line :

  • Regarding the Breckland Line
Looks like ATS have picked up the baton !

    Update: February 2022

This freeware alpha version of the Breckland Line has now been discontinued.

The route has been taken over by ATS (Alan Thomson Simulation) and will be completed by them, plus incorporated into a much larger East Anglian network alongside the ATS ECML and Ely-Peterborough routes. The release date of this expanded version is still TBC.

I have taken the decision to hand the route on to ATS as my development priorities have shifted away from route building towards rolling stock development over the preceding three years. This way, the route will be finished and the existing work will be made full use of.

Many thanks to those of you who have supported and downloaded the freeware alpha version since its first release in 2018, and I hope you will appreciate the greater scope and increased possibilities that will come with the new and completed route.

    • realistic start-up and driving
    • compatible with currently-available "freeware" systems for Crocodile and KVB signalling
    • option of AZERTY or QWERTY keyboard mappers
    • new sounds, most recorded from archive footage of CC7100s themselves

  • For the last few days I have not been able to log into my Alan Thomson Simulation account. I always get an error message telling me to verify my email address. When I click on the link to resend the verification link, I get a message that I will receive an email shortly with a link to verify my account. It also mentions that this may take up to ten minutes. I have been waiting for days now and have not received a verification email. Not even in my spam folder. I have contacted ATS through their homepage (as a guest) and have not received a response either. Does anyone have a similar problem?

Do any of you have an email address for Alan Thomson Simulation that I can contact directly (without opening a new ticket)?

  • i have received a verification mail, but got varification was failed *boah*

EDIT: re logged in and it worked now ?(. Weird
