So during the last years i've been having this strange issues where TS can suddenly hang for approx 10 seconds and then continue as nothing happened.
Specs on my PC should be adequate. GTX1060 graphics. i5 3,4 ghz cpu. 16mb ram. However the ram is of mixed speeds, and TS does give an ssd many many reads due to the huge amounts of assets that are being loaded. TS has it's own SSD, it's only half full. I did update all drivers (bios, chipset etc etc....)
Hang issues can be seen at 00:30:00 And two times shortly after another at 00:31:30. And many more times after that, untill the end. These are just examples, it happens many times, completely random, and on every route i own.
I also have a signalling issue, that i suspect have to do with late loading of assets, causing trains in front of the player train to load late, thus causing signals that should be on warning, to fall back from clear to warning. I know people will fall on me for using a RSSLO route to show this, but i've only had this for a year or so, and never had any problems before. I have it on many routes, so it's not isolated to this one. This problem is newer than the hanging issue, but both seem to be getting worse. I am also noticing that the faster i drive, the more often i have this problem, which is why i suspect slow loading of assets might be part of the problem.
Can be seen at 00:45:00 The distant signal falls from green to yellow.
Or even worse at 1:16:00 where the main signal falls back to warning.
Suggestions for solutions are welcome.
Might it be hardware related or are there background processes that i should switch off? I have excepted TS from Windows defender.
