B42 Das ist der Deal, den DTG mit denen gemacht hat. Ob das für alle anderen Hersteller gilt, weiss ich nicht. Muss wohl jeder selbst nachfragen und mit SBB sprechen.

No problem. When Matt writes a long post, I will always read it. Matt is kind of a legend in train simulation at this point: a real rail enthusiast and he does not beat around the bush with his comments, if it is possible (NDA, Company secrets). Once again, I agree with the statement he made today.

Wenn das wirklich teilweise bestehende Strecken sind, die zusammengefügt und etwas erweitert wurden, dann ziehe ich meine Aussage zurück. Ich weiss aber nicht, wie viel da neu ist und wie teuer die alten Strecken waren etc.

@Julia Dann hoffe ich für dich, dass dein Supermarkt und deine Stadtwerke auch viele Sales haben =) ... alles ziemlich teuer geworden.

Wie bitte? Der Preis ist wohl eher als Witz gemeint?
Aber für eine 100 Kilometer Strecke legst du 35 Euro auf den Tisch oder was? 300 Kliometer... da sind 50€ eigentlich noch zu wenig.

ich sehe vermehrt Videos von Tubern die meinen mit aktivierter Störungssim fahren zu müssen und kommen dann bei Störungen, die nicht nur das Umlegen/Wiedereinschalten eines Relaisschalter beinhaltet, gar nicht mehr klar und nutzen die komplette Zurücksetzenfunkion oder geben auf
Geile Sache, Keyboard warrior und Youtube Helden rennen wie Lokführer zwei Tage nach abgeschlossener Ausbildung nervös auf der Lok herum and können irgendwelche Störungen nicht in den Griff bekommen. Eigentlich sollte ich mir das mal angucken und dazu ein Bier aufmachen... klingt unterhaltsam.

Lippstadt78 Ja, das zeigt die Situation rund um BR 146 + Dostos im TS ziemlich gut auf. Ich hoffe jeden Tag, dass wir endlich was von vR bekommen (und dazu ein tolles Repaint Pack) damit dieses unendliche Provider Mischmasch Chaos rund um die Dosto Zugverände endlich ein Ende hat.

- A very small set of minor changes was agreed with SBB for Luzern, so that's already had its update some months ago for them to be happy.

Removing the logo wouldn't help.
Firstly you're actively going against a rail operators wishes - that kinda bad karma spreads faster than good karma and you might find yourself getting locked out of other operators.
Secondly, if you DO have a license, you also have an NDA. And operators can pull the "that's clearly our train, you clearly are sharing information we consider proprietary on how to operate it, cease and desist". Would that work in court? I have no idea but who has the money to find this stuff out.
It's best to just consider SBB off the table, in my view, their restrictions render a product that is far below expectations of players and therefore not worth making. Beyond that, there are loads of other operators who think train simulation is very cool and appreciate the value of it - I hear some operators actively benefit in recruitment because of it for example.
Let's focus on the operators who want to help us all get the train simulation experiences we want.

Also wenns um die von TTB geht, die stecken in APs und werden daher von RW-Tools nicht gefunden.
Ich nutze LocoSwap und das kann bekanntlich in AP reingucken. Aber in den Szenarien werden Sie dann auch als fehlend angezeigt.

Einige User sehen es leider als selbstverständlich an, dass dies und jenes noch mit geändert werden sollte. Dabei wird oft vergessen, dass diese Arbeiten in der Freizeit vorgenommen werden.
So ist es leider. Beim Harznetz habe ich immer wieder betont, wie lange ich daran gearbeitet habe. Teilweise sehr detailreich beschrieben, wie ich von morgens bis nachts (sozusagen mit Schlafanzug) an der Strecke gehockt habe, um 1-2 Kilometer abzuarbeiten. Ortschaften wie Wildemann, Lautenthal und Clausthal-Zellerfeld haben mehrere Wochen gebraucht (jeweils 8-10 Stunden Tage).
"mach mal noch eben den Abschnitt und die Strecke" ist da einfach nicht. Man bekommt meistens gerade so die Strecke gebacken, auf die man selbst lust hat und das restliche Privatleben findet in der Zeit faktisch nicht mehr statt.
Wiegesagt, es gibt dafür nur eine Lösung: mehr User müssen Content machen. Sonst bleibt es bei den Releases von mir, dir, BR218, Pushing Tin und co. Dies gilt insbesondere für Repaints und Szenarien. Strecken kommen noch von Bahnjahn und RSSLO, von Railtraction und vR werden wir in Güterwagen ertränkt. 3D Zug macht auch noch ab und an seine ICE und Nightjet Geschichten.

Sind keine aus dem Offiziellen TTB-Bestand aus den SPs.
Bei mir geht gar keine 146 mehr von TTB. Auch im Editor erscheinen die nicht. Die Ludmillas werden auch in RW Tools als fehlend angezeigt (Pluspack ist installiert)... nach Neuinstallation sind Sie dann kurz wieder da und werden nach einiger Zeit wieder überalls fehlend angezeigt. Bei Dostosteuerwagen aus den TTB Packs auch schon beobachtet. Anscheinend bin ich ja nicht alleine damit.
PS: das war kein Vorwurf an TTB, dass die die Sachen absichtlich irgendwie verschwinden lassen. Ich würde es nur gerne lösen.

Es gibt wohl einige Schmalspurstrecken
Die ganzen schönen Rhb Strecken sind zum glück nicht betroffen. Da wir im TSC fast das komplette Rhb Netz haben, welches auch International große Beliebtheit erfährt, wäre das wirklich der gau gewesen.
Gibt es Strecken in der Schweiz für den TSC, die sich für den internationalen Güterverkehr (ggf. mit Grenzübergang) und Fernverkehr (z.B. EC) eignen?
eigentlich nicht... in Basel Bad ist wiegsagt schluss und da fehlt die Möglichkeit mit dem ICE oder Güterzug weiterzufahren. Der Übergang beim Dreiländereck endet nach wenigen Kilometern und die Strecke ist heutzutage nicht mehr wirklich relevant. Hat nie jemand ein Update für gestrickt und Szenarien macht da auch keiner mehr.

Leute, wenn er das Ding raushaut, dann setzt euch hin, baut die Bahnhöfe um, setzt TSC Oberleitung etc.... BR-218 kann nicht alleine den Train Sim retten. Wir brauchen viel mehr Leute, die hand anlegen anstatt "privat" was zu machen oder einfach nur zu spielen. Was alles in diesem Sim möglich wäre, wenn statt gefühlt 5 Leuten mal 50 Leute Content machen würden.

B42 glad you are taking a stand. I don´t even own swiss content, but I find this a scary precident as a long time train simmer and route builder.

I think its more important to seek the conversation with the SBB.
From what Christrains has shared in this thread, it does not seem like they are moving an inch from their position. As i stated on the last page, from a cumstomers point of view (and from your view) this is very shady. Are you (and DTG, Rivet etc.) getting back amounts of cash from the original licenses you and DTG/Rivet etc. paid in the first place? Because if they suddenly decide, you can´t build the content as intented for the customer anymore, they should return the money from the original license agreement.

domi5599 for me this sets a very scary precedent. From a customers view: I buy a product for a train game, with certain liveries, features etc. advertised and whenever a train company turns around and decides to revoke these licenses, my content can be "downgraded" without a return of my money. This should be illegal. DTG/Rivet or whoever buys a license from SBB, makes a route like luzern and after a while SBB revokes these rights and paying customers get downgraded in a manner, we have not seen before. So, are SBB giving the money back to DTG so they can refund customers? I guess not ... I would love to know the legal situation from an expert. We have practicing lawyers in the community.

Kim_olesen1 No, it´s not the fault of Payware folks. Customers and sellers are both badly effected by this. It´s a huge scandal in my view... maybe the biggest I´ve seen in train sim history.
Funnily enough I worked for SBB for two years in the past.... never expected anything like this from them.

TSW users just got their Luzern route DOWNGRADED from what they paid for.
Payware creators will unfortunately talk their way out of this one... "well, it´s still a train and all that". No judge in the world would take this case or grant any players money back. People would be very angry and resort to piracy.

As said Kim, they can´t take the collections from our harddrives. Well, maybe... police raids on train simmers
Could the even enforce this within freeware stuff?
If the DB would copy the same licence agreement we would have only freeware with private or fanatay liveries.
I have all my DB locos from vR and others on my harddrive. Will they send the police to my house to remove it? I think for TSC it would not be the end of the world (at least not for oldschool players with huge collections)... but for starters and for Train Sim World it would be a disaster. People will just resort to piracy and fileshare all the branded stuff with working PZB. What a mess!

I feel really bad for the Swiss community
Yes, this is absolute disaster for them. Allthough there was never much swiss content in TS or TSW and thankfully all the scenic Rhb content is not affected (from what I´ve read). But it still sets a very scary precedent. Just imange DB or ÖBB doing this and the consequenses for the simulators? Just wow....
PS: while your here Chris: a short reminder about the German version of NS 6400. I wrote you an Email a couple of months ago about it and you said, you would look into it.
Hoping SBB will be the only company with such an agreement or the tsc will be dead for me.
Not so fast... not much payware for TSC these days anyway. Mostly freeware... and they can´t take away the collection on our harddrives.
