What exactly is the procedural fauna? Is it the small pieces of grass that often appear out of the blue right in fromt of the train on fields and sometimes over roads and tracks too?
I am thinkimg about turning it off. Is anybody else doing that?

Yes you are right. The procedural fauna is is the grass, which is visible about 20 meters around the camera. Sometimes it appears on roads and tracks too.
Good quality addons make sure that this phenomenon does not happen. They use different ground-textures for areas without vegetation.
For example Freiburg-Basel, Koblenz-Trier, Munster-Bremen, Konstanz-Villingen and some other routes pay attention on this problem.
Quite certainly, the grass and other plant species are 'procedural flora'. Fauna would be the animal world.
Note that the (great) Thomson Interactive RhB routes - Albulabahn, Arosabahn and Berninabahn - explicitly suggest that you leave this feature ON for the purpose of their routes. Not sure about other routes though.
Fauna?, I think you mean "flora" or did somebody find some flying deers, pigs or Zombies
LOOOOL untill now i’ve actually read it as “fauna” and that was why i was wondering. Couldn’t make sense of it.
