Armstrong Powerhouse kündigt auf Facebook an, dass die Class 142 ab dem 08.08.2022 nicht mehr erhältlich sein wird. Begründen lässt sich dieser Schritt mit dem hohen Alter des Addons und dem entsprechenden Qualitätsniveau.

Here's the latest development update for the Midland Main Line: Hope Valley Line.

The route is progressing nicely as we get closer to Manchester Piccadilly, with just a couple of miles of the route to be developed. This area however is very detailed and involved. These latest shots focus on locations at Levenshulme, Heaton Chapel and Heaton Norris. We hope you'll agree, it's starting to look absolutely stunning.

Der 4746 hat, abgesehen von der unterschiedlichen Anzahl an Türen:

• Einen überarbeiteten Sound
• FIS mit der Option englische Ansagen per Menü zu aktivieren
• Neue Fahrgastmonitore im Innenraum (nicht mehr blau sondern schwarz - aber weiterhin keine dynamische Anzeige der Haltestellen)
• An die Realität angepasste Piktogramme an und neben den Türen
• Nicht zu vergessen die ODEG-Version inkl. 4-teiligen Zugverband

Dieses Modell ist ein richtiger Klassiker. Man bietet dem Kunden 3 Modelle: günstig, teurer, teuer. Das günstige Modell inkludiert einen Großteil einfacher Leistungen / Produkte, das teurere umfasst den Standardumfang einer Leistung / Produkt und das teuerste oben drauf noch ein paar Extraleistungen. So lenkt man den Kunden in eine bestimmte Richtung. Fällt bei direkter Gegenüberstellung auf. Marketing wie aus dem Lehrbuch.

Allerdings gibt es auch ein paar Unklarheiten (Auffälligkeiten):

• JTG-Bundles => Umfasst das nur Aufgaben-Bundles wie bspw. das Güterverkehr Vol. 1 oder auch Fahrzeug-Bundles wie bspw. das BR152 Güterpaket (beides als JTG-Bundle gekennzeichnet)?
• JTG-Bonuspack => Was genau der Kunde hier erwarten kann wird ebenfalls nicht deutlich (also, ob bloß Aufgaben oder Fahrzeuge / Strecken - hierbei eher nur Aufgaben, da "exklusiv erstelltes Produkt")

Here is an excerpt from the manual of our forthcoming Class 87 Locomotive Pack regarding 87101:

The 36th and final class 87 to be built was fitted with a thyristor traction system instead of the more traditional tap changer. This locomotive is simulated to a certain extent with its differing roof equipment, unique liveries (BR Trainload & BR Blue (RfD)) and ‘conventional’ driving mode.

This locomotive had two driving modes, ‘conventional’ and ‘advanced’.

Conventional mode used the electronics rack to simulate how a normal 87/0 would behave with 38 equal notches of power and a 39th weakfield notch. The only real difference as far as the driver was concerned was that after selecting ‘Off’ on the notching lever, he did not need to wait for the notch indicator to fully notch down before re-applying power.

Advanced mode involved the use of a special key, latterly a permanently fitted mode-change knob. Turning the knob would remove all the notches from the notching lever except for ‘Run Down’. Everything beyond ‘Run Down’ was notch-less. Moving from 'Off' to 'Run Down' would shut off power and then anything beyond that was your tractive effort demand, just like a class 90.

Only conventional mode is simulated in this pack

On 12th August 2000, InterCity Swallow liveried 87005 'City of London' approaches Carlisle with 1C20 15:33 London Euston - Carlisle. At the time, this was one of the final survivors in 'ICS' livery. It was also one of the few services where Mk2s were booked to work this far north.
