  • Kiskitrains ČSD 372 and DR 230

    I actually have one more feature request, not sure how difficult it is to implement this.

    Currently, the default state of catenary system and train safety system depends on the type of loco. But if I create a scenario in CZ with the 230/180, or in DE with the 372, I might want to pre-select the catenary and safety system appropriate for the country.

    This could be done by adding parameters to the vehicle number, e.g. "3kV" or "15kV" or "LVZ" or "PZB".

    And, I haven't found anything in the manual about this, is it possible to change the brake mode (R/P/G) in-game?

  • Kiskitrains ČSD 372 and DR 230

    I'm really excited that this loco has finally been released. And after a couple of test runs, I have to say I am really amazed! :) I already liked it back in the days in OpenRails.

    The visuals, both outside and inside are excellent, modelling and textures. It operates really well, it has a lot of features and all the controls "feel" really nice, even though we just press buttons on the keyboard...

    It's a lot of fun to drive this loco with the resistor and shunt notches and serial/parallel ranges, which is someting that we don't have in our German trains.


    The sounds are also mostly good and detailed. However, there are some things that can be improved in my opinion:

    • The compressor has an audible loop. As far as I can tell, it is the same sample that is used in the ZSSKC class 131, but there the loop points are done better. Maybe you can adjust yours as well.
    • The traction motor sounds are the same as in the X6X, with the same problem: It's the same stereo (?) sample interior and exterior, which means that there is no Doppler effect when the train passes by. It also appears to be overly loud in the total mix of the sound.
    • The ventilation sounds are one of the most characteristic things about this loco, and unfortunately they don't match that well yet. Again I'm comparing with the ZSSKC 131, which has a similar traction control, and there the ventilation sounds are done very well.

    But as I've read above, there is already a sound update in progress by Kal000px , which I'm looking forward to :) Also thanks to Airvolk for your work on more liveries.


    All in all, this loco fills a long standing gap in the Czech-German TSC world, so thanks a lot kiski for your work!

  • Liste von Assets mit Pfaden?

    Nur so als grobe Idee:

    Alle *.bin-Dateien im Assets-Ordner mit ihrem Pfad in eine Textdatei schreiben lassen, diese Datei mit einem vernünftigen Tabellenprogramm (z.B. LibreOffice Calc) öffnen und als Spaltentrenner den '\' oder '/' (je nachdem, ob du Windows oder Mac/Linux-User bist) einstellen.

    Dann bekommst du eine Tabelle mit allen Assets und ihren Pfaden, wo die ersten beiden Spalten Provider und Product sind. Darin kannst du dann nach Herzenslust rumsortieren und filtern.

    Nichts anderes macht TS-Tools auch, nur halt beschränkt auf eine bestimmte Strecke oder Szenario.

    Honestly I only know PZB messaging systems from Romanian locos. In general, if you want to use PZB, it's quite easy to learn and then you don't need these messages anymore, so they are rather annoying than helpful.

    So if you really want to implement a PZB messaging system, please make it switchable and default off.

    Der meiste Fernverkehr dürfte, wie auch heute, hinter Zuffenhausen auf die SFS abgebogen sein. Da es keinen weiteren Zwischenhalt gibt und Fahrplanfahrten scheinbar nicht auf freier Strecke enden können, werden diese Züge maximal als Deko verkehren und nicht fahrbar.

    Sonst könnten wir ja auf Dresden - Riesa - Leipzig die Berliner Züge auch bis Kottewitz oder Großenhain fahren, und nicht nur von Drážďany hl.n. bis nové město.

    Habe soeben auch an der Umfrage teilgenommen. Finde die Idee gut. Ich hoffe, die anderen Meckerköppe hier haben sich auch die Zeit genommen! ;)

    In der Umfrage letztes Jahr wurde z.B. nach neuen Features gefragt, u.a. Ansagen. Diese wurden mit TSW 6 implementiert. Das Feedback wird also durchaus berücksichtigt.
