hello I am following with interest this locomotive and your line of rolling stock, unfortunately what is holding me back in the purchase is that there is no circulation of the locomotive for my country and its current system in the locomotive menu. If in a future update there is also support for the Italian network, I would be happy to add it to my numerous rolling stock. I own the Christrain E186 and although it is not equipped with an Italian system, it was enough to repaint the menu inside the locomotive to make it at least visually suitable for an Italian system. Yours, for the complexity of the settings, I think it would not be enough to edit some textures. I would also like to know if it is possible to equip an ETCS buoy line? maybe with a support manual? Thanks great job anyway!
What do you mean by "ETCS buoy line" do you want to equip a line with ETCS? The locomotive can run on any route with ETCS, since only the speed limits and signals are read out there.
Here you can still find the signals to announce the different ETCS levels:
Filebase-Eintrag
ETCS signals
ETCS trackside signals used currently for my Traxx. Can be found at Kal000px/ETCS under ETCS prefix in game.
Short handbook is included to let You know how to use these objects. It also contains some useful informations about messages sent to loco for…
In addition, an entry on the ETCS in the Rail-sim.de Wiki:
ETCS (European Train Control System)
Theoretically, you can buy the locomotive now, and you can easily drive it with ETCS L1 / L2 on all routes.
It is important that the ETCS "looks" at the speed signs, but if they are bad or not there, there will be emergency brakes without warning. However, this is not a problem for the locomotive, it is poor signaling of the route.
I have already successfully used ETCS (Level 2 "Full Supervision") myself on the following routes:
- Schaffhausen Kreuzlingen
- Gotthard Bergstrecke
- Hamburg Hanover
- even on American Routes it works
i Hope this helps you
