Adhesion if calculated by Curtius-Knifflers equation. On each scenario start, random variable is generated in range 0.95 - 1.05. Resulting adhesion then is adhesion by equations multiplied by random variable to simulate that each loco can have its wheels used up a bit differently. So sometimes you can even get adhesion up to 290kN by 0km/h. Adhesion then also differs according to weather, atmospheric conditions, whether the train is in tunnel etc.
