    I am not at home, but I have purchased it, I think it will be worth the money for the Warship alone, and comments indicate that the dirty versions of the Western and Hymek are very well done. I will know for sure in about 4 hours ;) . What you get is;
    Very nicely finished with some very nice dirty loks. Usual DTG physics, sounds better than the average DTG, but not AP standard. There will be community and no doubt AP enhancement packs for these.


    Key Features
    The Western Hydraulic Pack for Train Simulator features the BR Class 35 ‘Hymek’, BR Class 42 ‘Warship’ and BR Class 52 ‘Western’ respectively and a selection of Mk1 coaches.
    BR Class 35 ‘Hymek’ Has opening doors and windows.


    • The Hymek is available in both BR Green and BR Blue liveries, featuring clean, weathered and heavily weathered variants.
    • Represented as they were in the 1960s, all examples will be included from D7000 to D7100, with the ‘D’ prefix appropriately dropped for the BR Blue livery.

    BR Class 42 ‘Warship’ Has opening doors and windows, well modelled cab and exterior.

    • The Warship is available in BR Green, BR Maroon and BR Blue liveries
    • Represented as they were in the 1960s, all examples are included from D800 to D832, and D866 to D870, with the ‘D’ prefix appropriately dropped for the BR Blue livery.

    BR Class 52 ‘Western’ Appears to have opening windows on the inside only.

    • The Western is available in BR Desert Sand, BR Maroon and BR Blue liveries, featuring clean, weathered and heavily weathered variants.
    • Represented as they were in the 1960s, all examples will be included from D1000 to D1073, with the ‘D’ prefix appropriately dropped for the BR Blue livery.

    Mk1 Coaches

    Had also a quick look, models are good, nice diesel exhaust fumes for all three engines also. Sounds are OK, like @holzrollerr stated.


    Noticed that the brake gauges on the 35 do not seem to work when using train brake, on the 52 the train brake seems not to work at all - at least for the one version used in "the long voyage". Even at emergency, nothing happens.
    Wondering if they drive their stuff at least once before selling it :)
    Someone can confirm this?

    Train Simulator, obwohl oft Ärger bringend, oftmals nicht mal mit ihm an sich, einer von dem man doch nicht lassen kann. Viele können nicht mal von Unterwegs von ihm lassen (Forum). Was nach meiner Meinung zu voreiligen Postings führt. Auch von Usern die selbst gegen solche schimpfen.

    @Thor the reason the train brake doesn't appear to work in the scenario is because the wagons have no brake. The train is what we call 'loose coupled' or 'unfitted' the only brake available when moving is the loco brake and the guards hand brake. If the train had to go down a steep gradient it would stop just before it and the guard would pin down hand brakes on the train sufficient to control it's speed so that the loco and guards brake were available in an emergency. It was very skilled and sometimes went wrong. I have worked these type of trains myself, they finally disappeared in the early 90's. I think that you have mixed up the scenario names as the 52 scenario is 'All kinds of everything'.


    Edit having just finished the scenario I can now say that DTG have incorrectly provided the wagons with a train brake which works well. So if you have a problem with the 52 it is either a faulty download or an issue with your installation of TS.

    Yes you are right @holzroller I mixed up the scenario names, it is in fact "all kind of everything". I noticed that the brake works on scenario start, as soon as I move the reverser handle the brake ceases working - only issuing an emergency applcation with "<-" key applies the brakes, which I am not able to release thereafter. I have "Raildriver and Joystick interface" runnning, which modifies the engine bin - maybe something interferes here. I will undo the changes and give it another try.


    But did not observer problems with any other engine using this interface, but of course it could cause problems here.


    Edit: having undone the changes done by Raildriver and Joystick Interface the brake works as expected, seems something is interfering here.

    @Thor In the Western Hydraulics thread it has been reported that the AP/Matts expansion class 52 input mapper appears to be conflicting with the input mapper for the new version of the class 52. For me the class 52 won't even respond to the raildriver, although other locos outwith the pack seem to be ok. Haven't tried the class 42 and 35 new versions yet.

    Hallo-habe mir den sowohl vom Preis (3 Lokomotiven mit verschiedenen Bemalungen zum Beispiel neu /verewittert und Einsatzfahrben /Epochen ) und Vielfältig einsetzbaren Attraktivität nun auch zugelegt.
    Warum wird dieser Tread aber nur in englisch geführt ?.
    Die interessanten Infos zum Addon könnten auch nur "Deutschsprachige ;) " Benutzer interessieren

    @rrpiti Du hast natürlich Recht, sollte hier nicht ständig in Englisch weitergehen.
    Es ging bei meinen englischen Beiträgen um Probleme mit der Class 52 wenn man das Raildriver und Joystick Zusatzprogramm benutzt, bei dem mitgelieferten Class 52 Szenario hat bei mir nach Anpassung der Scripts durch das Programm die Zugbremse wenige Sekunden nach Start des Szenarios die Arbeit eingestellt.
    Beheben konnte ich es nun wohl in dem man das Anpassen des Scripts der Class 52 rückgängig macht (nur für die Class 52 manuell, das Zusatzprgramm kann nur einen ganzen Folder bearbeiten). Die Zusatzfunktionen stehen in der 52 dennoch zur Verfügung und die Bremse arbeitet wieder wie gewohnt.
    Bei der Class 35 funktionieren die Bremsanzeigen nicht, in den BIN Dateien ist dafür keine Animation eingetragen und es sind auch keine Animationsdateien mitgeliefert. Schade drum.


    @holzroller - seems I could fix it with undoing the script alterations only for the Class 52, seems to have no impact on RD & JS tool, brake is working now. For the Clas 35, I found no animation entries in the engine bin files, also no animation files delivered.

    Es kommt wohl zu InputMapper Probleme mit dem Paket wenn man das RSC Class52 Paket mit dem AP Soundpack installiert hat (optional auch das Repaint Megapack "Matthew Wilson's "Reskin & Clag Pack" aus dem UKTS Forum). Es gibt dazu einen Beitrag im UKTrainSim Forum von Chrisonline:

    Kurz übersetzt, es gibt ein Update des AP Soundpaketes in welchem als Änderung
    1. die Inputmappernamen (wohl nur innerhalb des Codes, der Dateiname selbst bleibt unverändert) von Class52 nach Class52AP umbenannt wurden.
    2. In den Engine.bin Dateien wurden alle drei Einträge für die Remapper auf Class52AP.bin angepasst
    3. Die Änderung 2 wurde aber wohl nur für die Standardversionen der Class 52 umgesetzt, die AP Reskins wurden wohl vergessen und man muss diese Änderungen manuell in den jeweiligen engine.bin vornehmen. Gleiches ist notwendig wenn man "Matthew Wilson's "Reskin & Clag Pack" installiert hat.


    @holzroller thanks for the hint, I could observe no inputmapper problems although I own all of this, my change affected only files created by the JS & RD tool. Moved also my english posting to the UKTS forum :)

    Da beeinflusst Class 52 im RSC Ordner (Assets\RSC\Class52Pack01) sofern das AP Sound Pack installiert ist die Class 52 welche hier ...\Assets\DTG\WesternHydPack01 mit kommt?

    Habe für die (RSC) Class 52 das AP Sound Pack.
    Soeben aus dem British Western Region Hydraulics das Szenario mit der Class 52 gestartet.
    Funktioniert bisher ganz Normal.


    A = Leistung aufschalten
    D = Leistung weg nehmen

    Der TS hat da immer schon ein Problem:
    Inputmapper mit gleichem Namen aber unterschiedlichem Inhalt.
    Wenn unterschiedliche Loks in einem Szenario auf InputMapper zugreifen (bzw in den Arbeitsspeicher laden), die gleich heissen, aber unterschiedlichen Inhalt haben, gibts Verwirrung.
    In diesen Fällen dafür sorgen, das die Dinger dann auch unterschiedlich heißen und die dann auch passend in den Lokdateieien eingetragen sind.

    Keine Hilfe und Auskunft per PN, da meist von allgemeinem Interesse. Diese Fragen bitte im Forum stellen.

    Ich habe die Probleme auch nicht. Habe den AP Sound Pack schon lange und nun auch den neuen Hydraulics Pack. Was bei mir nicht funktioniert sind die Bremsanzeigen der Class 35 aus dem neuen Paket. Ich habe immer gern die Druckanzeigen im Blick wenn ich einen Zug bremse. Bei der neuen 35 funktionieren diese Anzeigen nicht.
