Picked up the required ECML and just finished the first run (Class 31 Scenario).
Route is nicely done, but rather boring. Flat rural landscape, with mostly long straights and not much stations in between.
Definitely made for IC125/225 workings.
So time to jump into a Valenta and scream down the line at full speed.

Now available is a new route by Trevor Wood (Southampton-Weymouth, Casterbridge routes) which is Waterloo Suburban Lines.

It includes plenty of scenarios and Quick DrivesFull details and download here:

Glasgow Suburban now updated and massively extended as V6.0. https://glasgow-north-clyde-li…RoYLvwx4qXKgH4rCKYL6ZWv_0
this version is:
- everything that was Suburban Glasgow Phase 5.2 with a handful of fixes
- Edinburgh to Glasgow (the DPS extended version with Stirling and Carstairs)
- West Highland Line South
- West Highland Line Extension
- Glasgow Airport Rail Link (with the actual airport bit removed, funnily enough)
- The original UKTS Oban LineThanks to Thomson and Milepost for permission to include their products in this merged route, and also to Darren Porter and Michael Hamilton for permission to include their work too. As previously mentioned, I've altered the textures to work with Suburban Glasgow so they may now look a bit different for some routes than originally intended.
Obviously, the increased scope of the route has required me to add more DLC to the list of requirements. These are now (for the core route at least):
WCML North
WCML Over Shap
Edinburgh to Glasgow
London Faversham High Speed
West Highland Line South
West Highland Line Extension
Glasgow Airport Rail LinkThe UKTS Oban Line is included in the route so nothing more needs to be downloaded for it.

AP has updated many of their existing packs to make use of the new Class 156 (which also was updated already multiple times, the newest update happened yesterday), e.g. here:
- Class 68 EP 25.08.2019
- Class 158 Cummins EP 25.08.2019
- Class 56 EP 25.08.2019
- Class 350 EP 25.08.2019
- Szenario AP43 25.08.2019
- Szenario AP42 25.08.2019
- Szenario AP44 25.08.2019
In addition the Class 365 has been updated too, but that pack doesn't use the 156 in its scenarios so it has a different purpose.

South Lancashire and North Cheshire - BR Blue Period now updated to V3 wotawallysbits.co.uk/liv-man-br-blue-route
Oh what a pleasent surprise! I dind´t know this was still being developed! Last update had been in 2016. Very nice that they continue to work on it.
For interest: this new version contains new scenery from north of Vulcan Foundry to Wigan. Tracks have been laid further up to Preston as well as from Wigan Westgate to Manchester Victoria via Ince and from St. Helens Junction via St. Helens Shaw (St. Helens Central today) to Spring Banch Junction south of Wigan.

In detail;
Today, many of our packs have been updated to improve their audio efficiency.
To elaborate, Train Simulator can only play a certain number of sounds at one time and whilst to date this hasn’t been much of an issue, the increased complexity of our audio means that in busy scenarios, this limit is increasingly being reached. As a result, you may find that AI trains pass you with reduced sound or sometimes no sound at all.
In a bid to reduce this problem, we have assessed the sounds in all of our latest packs and reduced the distance at which they activate. Until now, this has been set at a standard 3200 metres (2 miles) so as to ensure a sound never ‘pops’ in or out before fading sufficiently. In hindsight, this was over-generous so we have set much reduced distances depending on the loudness of a sound and its likelihood to be heard from a distance. For example, the loud/bassy class 37 will still be audible from 2000 metres away (the maximum distance you can be from a player train) whereas quiet sounds such as the compressor or doors have been reduced to 500 metres.
Please see our update log for which packs have been updated: https://www.armstrongpowerhouse.com/…/sup…/AP_Update_Log.pdf
This is by no means an urgent update so don’t feel as though you need to re-download as soon as possible. We just thought we’d give some background to this mass update and hopefully the benefits of it will be heard in the years to come.
P.S. We've also updated the run, joint, flange & brake squeal sounds on the Class 150/1 Enhancement Pack & Class 150/2 Diesel Multiple Unit Pack, to match our recently released Class 156 Diesel Multiple Unit Pack. -
