I have just completed the second part of this great Scenario Pack!
As usual, excellent work Mr Gose! It is of the usual high 3DZug standard.

Respekt!
You are a master Train Driver compared with me
Thanks for the replies,
Thanks
Neil
I don't know whether it is my lack of skill in driving the BR103, or whether it really is impossible to complete the first Scenario of this Doppelpack on time.
I have tried 4 times now, and cannot get to Köln anywhere close to the time required.
Even breaking all speed limits (I derailed once around a corner I was trying so hard) I couldn't get there in time.
Also, you have to pass a couple of Red signals in this scenario, and the second one in Leverkusen doesn't seem to have a 500Hz magnet. I keep the Befehl 40 pressed as I approach the signal below 40kmH, but I still get a Zwangsbremsung.
If anyone else has bought this, I would sure love to know how you get on with it!
Regards from a very slow Engländer,
Neil
It is a new system, i7 6700k @ 4.5, 16 Gb DDR4 3000MHz Ram, GTX 1080. Windows 10 Pro
I get 35 fps in Leipzig, 65-95 on the route, but really have to turn down settings to avoid Virtual Memory problems.
I even have Mosel running fine now at my normal settings since I replaced the tracks
Thanks for the replies,
The Aerosoft installer doesn't seem to let you start the installation process unless you have uninstalled the old version first, so it is impossible to install over the top.
The first time I tried to run a Scenario (I tried 2c in the new A pack from the VT website) it just crashed to desktop with an error message (which i foolishly didn't make a note of).
I then uninstalled the new Nvidia Driver I had just installed (372.54) because I read that it caused problems with my oculus, restarted the PC and tried again and it worked (but this was probably coincidence).
However, it still uses an aweful lot of memory. Scenario 2c loaded in Leipzig with 3.05 gig, so I am unsure whether I would make it into Berlin HBahnhof with out a dump.
I then tried a newly updated 3DZug FZ22, and it loaded with 3.4 and crashed immediately.
I manage to drive every other route I have (and I have almost everything European) with my settings (near max, but not quite). In version 1 of B-L I had to move all the sliders way down to guarantee finishing a Scenario. I was hoping that this patch would help, but it doesn't seem to have made much difference.
Thanks again,
Neil
I bought the route through 3Dzug (Aerosoft installer) and am unable to install version 1.03 over the top of 1.01.
I removed the original and did a clean install of 1.03, but the route crashes on loading.
How do I get this route working again?
Thanks
Neil
It worked for me on München - Augsburg.
I will try Mannheim and see if it works there!
Thanks,
I have posted the question on the UKTS forum, Maik seems to be very active on it, so hopefully he will answer! (how long does it take for the moderators to approve a post?)
I have developed laziness in older age, and love automation. I spend my time driving my cars in adaptive cruise, and it is so much more relaxing
After all, I wouldn't fly my 747 without autothrottle
Thanks again,
Neil
This is a fantastic Lok!
I have had great fun thundering around the Dreiländereck with it.
I have swapped it into the TTB scenarios, and some of the Kuju ones, and it has no problems keeping the timetables.
Well done vR!
A BR189 or BR146 next please
Hi Chaps,
I am having a few issues with the AFB in the VR BR101.
When I try to reduce speed by changing the AFB setting to a lower setting, the power goes to 0, but there is no braking action until the power lever is moved to 50KN or less.
Also, sometimes, when I try to increase the speed using the AFB, there is no acceleration until you reduce the power below 50KN.
Is this realistic behavior?
So much still to learn
Thanks,
Neil
I have worked out with the AFB, that unless you have a demand of 50KN or less, the AFB does not respond after you set a new speed. As soon as you move the power lever below 50KN you then start braking or accelerating.
Is this how it works in real life?
Also, I don't seem to get any sound from the electric brake when slowing down half the time. The power meter is showing 100KN deceleration, but there is no Ebrake sound?
Hi guys,
I am having a few AFB issues.
Sometimes when I am cruising along at 160, and reduce the AFB to 80, nothing happens until I move the power lever to 0, then it starts braking.
Also, sometimes, when I have reduce the AFB to a lower speed, and then I increase it again, nothing happens until I move the power lever to 0.
This is not how any of the other trains react to AFB inputs, although with vR, I am always expecting more realism, and maybe this is how it should be?
Thanks
Neil
Thank you very much for the quick reply!
As normal, I feel a bit stupid now
I have recently changed my computer, and reinstalled Trainsim from new, and that file obviously got away from me.
Thanks again,
Neil
Hi guys,
I am having problems with the Mosel Strecke. If I run without DB Tracks, I get a guaranteed Out of Memory as I drive into Ehrang. The track runs at about 2.9GB, and as I enter Ehrang it must just spike!
I tried installing the DB Tracks v 1.0, but as I leave Koblenz I have all sorts of tracks missing.
I have tried uninstalling both DB Tracks and the Mosel Strecke and reinstalling several times, but no luck.
Is anyone else having these problems?
I know that on the UK forum Maik put a link in for his own version of slightly less Memory hungry tracks, but then removed the download because he wasn't happy. I would love to try this.
Thanks
Neil (aus Rainy England)
Thanks,
I uninstalled, reinstalled, changed to a slightly different BR140EL and tried again.
It all seems to work perfectly (I haven't completed it yet, because after coming out of the Kaiser-Wilhelm Tunnel I was on Stuffe20 whizzing along at 88km/h and suddenly I saw a yellow versignal. I turned the wheel to 0, put on MAX braking, but still went through the red signal at 15kmh
Great scenarios!
I played the Eisige Fracht scenario yesterday, and it is by far the best scenario I have ever played (including all the payware ones)
Thanks for replying,
Just after I get past the Bahnhof in Uerzig, about 400m before I get to the Weiche to take me back onto the correct side, my train derails and I get a "Derailment due to consist tilt" message. It has done it both times I have tried.
I am only travelling at about 35km/h at the time.
Thanks again, I know that you don't have to help as I have changed the train.
Sorry,
Neil
Thank you for all the quick replies,
I will delete the StartingSave.bin and see how it goes
Thank you for all your hard work!
I just upgraded my system this week, and now have an i7 6700 overclocked to 4.6GHz, a GTX1080 card and 16GB of DDR4 3000MHz memory
The strange thing is that even though I get 80-110 fps a lot of the time, leaving Köln and entering Koblenz I still only get 18-22 fps.
And of course none of this helps the fact that it is a 32bit application, so still crashes when the memory reaches 3400-3500
Thanks again.
ps. AbsolutesChaoz, the link to the OEBB Eurofima wagen on your BR103 Aufgabe from Köln to Koblenz (A022) links to the wrong download (it links to the DB Eurofima instead of the OEEB ones).
pps. I have just got the scenario working, but now I have a problem with what to do. After a train passes from behind, I get a Zs8 (the three white dots under the red signal). I Befehl 40 through and continue. Now some questions:
1. Later on there is a orange vorsignal on the other side (right side) of the track, but nothing on my side because I am still on the opposite track. I need to acknowledge this with the wachsam switch, even though there is no signal on my side. I then get to a white Ra 12, so I continue. A bit later it derails.
Do you need to acknowledge vorsignale on the opposite track when driving with gegenverkehr?
Should I have not gone through the first signal with Befehl 40 (even though I got the 3 white dots)?
Thanks
Neil
Hi,
I have downloaded all of your brilliant Scenarios today (and spent over 250 Euros at the vR shop to make them work).
I just tried "A hard day" (Ein harter Tag), and realised that it doesn't use any of the 3 vR BR140EL trains I have, but one which came as part of a pack. Having spent over 250 Euros already (my wife will divorce me) I could not bring myself to pay another EUR22,95 to buy a Lok which I already have.
I tried swapping the 2 BR140s with the vR ones I own, but when I load the scenario I just get a black screen followed by a dump.
Is there any way I could possibly play your fantastic scenario without having to buy another Lok (which I already have)
Thanks for all your hard work ,
From your European Brother in Brexitland
Neil
Hi All (sorry for writing in English).
I was just bombing down the Mosel in my BR155 pulling a heavy freight train (U). I was cruising nicely at 100km/h, and then I went past a speed change warning sign (70km/h) which had a magnet.
So I press the PZB acknowledge, and then I have to slow all the way down to 55km/h before being allowed to speed up again to 70km/h. Very annoying when towing a heavy freight train
Is this correct? Is there no way of just being able to slow down to 70?
Danke
Neil
