VR BR101 AFB

    Hi Chaps,


    I am having a few issues with the AFB in the VR BR101.


    When I try to reduce speed by changing the AFB setting to a lower setting, the power goes to 0, but there is no braking action until the power lever is moved to 50KN or less.


    Also, sometimes, when I try to increase the speed using the AFB, there is no acceleration until you reduce the power below 50KN.


    Is this realistic behavior?

Something was said about AFB, but I can't remember if it is the thread on here or UKTS. In fact you started the thread on UKTS, but not sure if you are still following it. There is also info on VR's facebook page, but I think most of it has been reposted in the forums. Personally I am not a fan of AFB, I prefer to drive the lok, AFB makes me feel like a passenger, but each to their own.

    I have posted the question on the UKTS forum, Maik seems to be very active on it, so hopefully he will answer! (how long does it take for the moderators to approve a post?)


    I have developed laziness in older age, and love automation. I spend my time driving my cars in adaptive cruise, and it is so much more relaxing ^^


    After all, I wouldn't fly my 747 without autothrottle :P
