Danke. I really hope that we can keep the thread opened to help/inform each others. But it is up to us....

Thank you denisfl
As a slight off topic post, I created an account to this forum for 2 main reasons. To explain my point of view and the background of the project, and to understand what a different community think about it, being able to interact with everybody if needed.
Bahnfreak, Hauptstadtbahner and others have expressed opinions, acceptable or not is a subjective decision, but at least they have underlined some points that they do not like of the route.
They have the freedom to think that other routes are more attractive and I have the freedom to decide if their opinion could be used to improve the route, if possible, or not.
And I ensure you that I'll think about it for the future because I still do not reach a conclusion.
This is what I expect from a forum. That is useful.
But if this is not how it is used, then I loose all the interest to participate, because all of us have other life problems more important than a game that need all the energy focus (and I feel not to be the only one thinking in this way).
Having told that, let's go ahead...
Have a nice evening.
Thank you thorsten30480
I'm happy that now is working. Let me know if something else is it not ok.
Your screenshot was really fundamental to catch immediately the root cause..

As I've already written, everybody can say what they feel, having respect of the work and the time spent by the others.
Under this aspect, I feel that saying that this route is the worst 40 euro you ever spent and that the route is full of errors and equal to the SFM, is an opinion on which personally I don't agree.
But if this is the way a discussion on the forum is based on, I do not see any way in which I can understand, hear, help, learn or improve something.

Thorsten, Johmathema, thanks.
I think I've found the issue. I'm sorry but I've discovered a problem in the script that under certain circumstances give this problem that, making the long story short, at the end block the script itself during the initialization of the loco.
I should have already found a fix. I'll try to send within this evening a mod to JT to be released within tomorrow. Again sorry for the problems and thanks to have immediately highlight it and for the patience...

Hello Torsten,
as i wrote quoting you yesterday (but published from the moderator only now after reviewing it), there is something wrong on the screenshot you publish that suggests some initialization errors. Pls read it just to be aligned.
If launching a scenario you'll see, before doing a single actions, a lot of lights switched on and/or strange stuffs, pls let me know. Minuetto at the beginning should be completely off.
This could be a reason while everything is "blocked". If yes I need to investigate what is going wrong (and more than this why you are the first to pointing out it). If you can, pls put a scrshot of the minuetto cab immediatly after starting a scenario. Same for Johmathema if he still have problems to switch on the loco and if he as also the same strange situation at the beginning.
In case it is critical, maybe I'll ask you to directly get in contact with me via mail to give you the full support to solve the issue....
Thanks

Kann mann den Minuetto auch schnel aufrüsten? (zB miet ctrl z?) Ich liebe die experten Sachen nicht so gerne, ich fahre lieber einfach. Verstehe aber sehr gut, das es einen guten Fortschritt im TSC ist, das die Bedienung der Lokomotiven immer realistischer wird.
Hello, yes it is possible.
I recommend you to look at the manual or to the video specific from the minuetto here.
There are 3 way to do the initialization. Manually command by command, automatic (equal to manually but done by the loco script) via the CTRL+Z and rapid, in one shot, via the CTRL+X command.
Same kb shortcut used in the E464 free loco by Worcester George...

You can call me mr Autobuy, i am a big supporter of TSC payware developers (if the route has my interrest, there are plenty of routes that i don’t have)
However i enjoy TSC for what it is, and i don’t understand the need to go to google street view just for the sake of hunting for incorrect buildings in a game. Everyone that has ever been to Garmisch-Partenkirchen (me included) knows it looks nothing like it is in the game. The question is, will you let that spoil the entire DLC or will you accept the premise that it’s a game. I’ve accepted long ago that we will only ever have a few payware routes like Konstanz-Hausach. But you know what; Last summer i drove through Skt Georgen and was surprised at how relatively big that town actually is, whereas in TSC it seems like a village. So even the best of the best have “wrong town vibes” here and there.
I feel that I'll buy this Konstanz-Hausach for analysis purpose. If you feel that this is one of the best route built in the past, this should be a reference to deeply check. Tks

Hatt einer noch das problem das die Fenster milchig sind?
Normally switching on the window heater get rid of it (autumn and winter scenario) .. BUT ...
this normally happen only after having switching on the loco. In your scrshot there are a lot of problem that bring to the conclusion that something is wrong. Lever are not initialized, screens are superimposed and on the right side win logo is still showing up, scmt instruments has a lot of lights switched on that is not normal and never seen during testing unless in specific case where I tested modified script and it was having some errors causing TSC not being able to finalize the initialization.
Pls try again to start the scenario from the Drive menu or restart the scenario by pressing ESC and restart if you come from route editor.
If you still have some problems, let me know. Pls look at the video number 3 published by JT in their YT channel on how to setup the train and you'll se also the start of window fogging before switching on the window heater.

Salut.
I don't understand: the Just Trains manual mentions ‘Worcester-Georges’ without providing any information about a download link or how to install it.
What's more, on the ‘Worcester-Georges’ website, there is an installer to download, and my anti-virus software says it's not safe...
I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING...
This is something I've never seen before with a product sold by Just Trains. Yet the work done on this line and this train is remarkable.
that's regrettable
Denis (France)
Hello Denis, the manual is saying that the Minuetto is compatible with SCMT plugin by Worcester George. As explained in my previous post this is not included in the package being an external plugin. Additionally this is not mandatory but it gives more SCMT control feature if installed even if it is not an easy tool for new users (reason why the simplified default one is included in the Minuetto).
So I feel that JT (and myself for the manual) is not to be regretted simply not having linked something that is anyway optional.
Anyway thank you having pointing out that this can be misunderstood and for the next manual update I'll include a link in it and some additional explanations.
Plugin can be found via a internet search "dlc worcester george". It is in a form of an installer, so it could be that some antivirus will highlight for some reasons, but this is not something I could help. I can only tell you the a lot of train simmers install it without any issues.

Hello to everybody.
First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm Andrea Colmanet, creator of the free SFM Turin route and now of the new Payware Turin-Novara route.
I'm not used to posting in forums, but I thought it was right to join yours so I could comment on some posts I've read regarding this route. I prefer to write in English because my German is less than scholastic, and an automatic translation wouldn't guarantee the true tone of my message.
Given that any criticism is legitimate, often useful, and respectable, I'd like to ask you to consider a few things before comparing the various TSC add-ons one by one. This also helps support those of you, among the valuable route testers, who have tried to contextualize the content of this add-on in response to some negative comments.
TSC has never featured Italian routes in its history. Therefore, there is no content available for creators who wish to challenge into a route/loco development. There are no signals, no overhead lines, no Italian-style buildings, no level crossings, platforms, walls, etc. Nothing.
Consequently, there is no default material that would make a route playable without going into dozens of external downloads from various websites, perhaps no longer active, and/or using available material that isn't consistent with an Italian environment.
The same goes for rolling stock; while there are several free/pay or default non-Italian routes that provide rolling stock, none exist for my italian reality as a default or available assets.
Finally, the documentation provided and available by DTG to developers is not complete or not enough detailed, and it's often necessary to invent workarounds to get the game to do what you want trying to build what other country has already available and deeply tested.
When I decided to develop this route with the support of Just Trains, on one hand there was their clear requirement (which I shared) to provide a playable route with a set of basic scenarios but with the requirement of NOT having to download external content (an all-in-one installer), on the other, there was the need to develop everything from scratch. The similarity with what's available on the free SFM Turin is, if examined in more detail, practically nonexistent.
The signals are completely new, both in 3D and in scripting, as new ore heavily revised are the OHLE and everything related to landscape modeling, track and station objects. As for the vegetation, in addition to some Kuju, some new ones were created, and JT ones were used in other areas. The folder of assets specific to this route and the included rolling stock, I believe, exceeds 4GB.
And since there were no rolling stock to be used, the Minuetto was developed from scratch with a whole series of features that certainly can't be considered basic, such as the ability to enable, park, stationing and test the car in various conditions, as well as a series of failures manageable via scenarios that make driving more fun.
Finally, the route and the Minuetto were equipped with Worcester George's SCMT, as an external plugin available for download. However, given the constraints imposed by JT, I also decided to develop a default version of the train control system on board the Minuetto, limited to the in-cab signal repetition (RSC) functions, which make the system immediately usable.
Since creating scenarios with only the Minuetto would certainly not have been appreciated because it would be boring, AI rolling stock and trains were added, with high-detail graphics for both exteriors and interiors, providing a minimum of variety for players and a minimum of flexibility for scenario developers.
In conclusion, I believe that a fair, and above all useful, discussion must also consider the context in which an activity was carried out.
I gladly accept and acknowledge some criticisms regarding the vegetation used, the fact that some buildings are deemed unsuitable, or the lack of superelevation (which is incorrect except in extreme cases), and I will take them into account for the future. However, having purchased several routes, even just for comparison, I don't believe they are superior in terms of the quantity of assets, landscape density, features included, and atmosphere and driving pleasure.
Obviously, I won't comment on the price, but I believe that anyone who decides to sell content sets a price proportional to the quantity (end efforts to build them) of content they're selling, and the buyer decides whether the price is fair after understanding what and how much they're buying.
The conclusions are obviously my personal opinion, and they remain, and should remain, my own judgment, without any claim to have a yes or no by anyone.
I'm finishing this post, and I apologize for its length.
I'm not here to convince anyone. I probably won't elaborate further because I believe everyone in a democracy has the right to say what they want and decide what to do when in front of a choice. What's more, we're talking about an entertainment tool here, which by definition is subjective and will never find everyone in agreement.
I just wanted to explain the reasons behind certain choices.
mit freundlichen Grüßen
