Alles anzeigendear Cast 0213, I bought your awesome route from Train sim.ch. I have a problem , I downloaded the WinRar file 4 times now but it shows rar file corruption. My email is support@bethlehemhosting.co.za
May i ask your help please, will send you my order number at trsinsim.ch as well as proof of payment.
Looking forward to hear from you
Kind regards
Gert
I replied you in the private conversation.
I am very interested in this line. However, I am waiting for your update.
One question: the manual states that ‘Signals: Pack Segnali Cast0213’ is a prerequisite.
I cannot find this download anywhere.
Thank you.
Not sure to have understood which update are you talking, anyway the new release is coming soon with some bug fixes and minor update. Timing it depends now by the new installer to be prepared by JT that has to include an extra operation to check if the user has or has not the SCMT plugin (optional) installed. This is needed to copy a specific file that is different depending on it. With this new release should be corrected all the previous issues in regards to correct functioning of the route and the Minuetto also in computer that has not the SCMT plugin installed.
Additionally, there are some minor changes that can be summarized as follow:
- change of some assets in the common library to get rid of special char in file naming that was causing some "missing assets" in certain windows installation language
- corrected some winter texture missing
- corrected some night texture in a couple of buildings
- new full 3d tracks replacing the simil-3d original tracks
- corrected in the default RSC instruments the texture that now display the time when switched off
- added electric random sparkles in all the rolling stock (Minuetto and AI) in winter and autumn (light effect + particle effect)
- some sound changes on track when under a bridge,
- added one enhanced scenario (with AP weather) to show some scenario feature (announcement, display on station, dynamic destination and failure) already partially shown in one of the 3 presentation video's.
For the pre-requisites, it is not a pre-requisite of the route, but for the Minuetto to be fully usable. But the "Pack Segnali" is included in the route itself. This pre-requisite has been introduced in the manual in case in the future the Minuetto will be delivered not within the route (as it is currently). So you do not need to have anything else other than the full package, except for:
1) Required: European loco and assets pack (that most of the users already have because needed for a lot of products)
2) Optional: SCMT plugin to have the full features available.
Hope to have answered you!
New release is under testing. I hope as soon as possible to release it.
Main fix should be the assets with special char in naming corrected
Fix for no scmt plugin (release strategy still to be finalized)
Improved signal lights
Fix on some missing winter texture (especially on crossing level strail)
New 3d tracks model (strategy to include them still to be defined)
It is shown both on Minuetto and E464 by the SCMT plugin. As soon as you enter the field "Loco Mass" or "Train length", it should appear in the upper corner. At the end the scmt plugin is using the TSC function GetConsistLength and Get ConsistMass to show up the values. Using the default RSC will not require any data input
For the speed, you're right. You've to set the speed. Usually Minuetto is 160 km/h but it could be that the value entered depends also on the railway you're driving. (For this Mr. Codadilupo is more than expert).
Additionally you've to setup the number of drivers under the PdC field. Normally Minuetto has one driver only, but if you put 1, the SCMT system will reduce (for a specific italian procedure) the maximum speed, to something around 100 kph (I do not recall in this moment).
This is the reason why a lot of italian simmers use 2 as the number of "drivers".
Just a short hint in regards to the list of data to be introduced for the Minuetto (if experts find some of the hints wrong, pls correct):
Uso Locomotiva (Loco use) "In Testa" for the Minuetto
PMF (Braking mass perc) Depends on the route, but between 130 and 145 should be ok
Lunghezza reale (Real Length) It is suggested in the upper corner. It should be around 50 for a single Minuetto
Freno (Brake) "P" for the Minuetto. "G" is used for freight
Tipo treno (train type) "V" for the Minuetto. "M" is for freight
Vmax treno (max speed train) Minuetto is 160km/h. I'm not 100% sure that the max speed to be setup here depends also on the route condition. It should depends logically.
Rango (rank) "C" for the Minuetto (there was an error in one of my movie). This means that the speed board limit to be looked to when driving is always the lower one.
Rallentamento (Slowing down) "Treno" for the Minuetto "Loco" is for passenger train and other types
PdC (number of "man in cab") already explained
Massa (mass) It is suggested in the upper corner. It should be around 90 for a single Minuetto
Orario (time) Time of the day
Hope it helps
Amazing costumer service Cast0213
Hi Kim, not sure to have perfectly understood the 1st question but I try to answer anyway,
According to the plugin creator, there is no way to skip the SCMT autotest. In whichever mode you're switching on the loco (manual, automatic CTRL+Z or rapid CTRL+X), the autotest will have to be run completely. This is the same for E464 or for Minuetto, because is a procedure built in in the plugin.
At a certain time during the autotest, it is asked if you want to introduce the train data or to drive in "manovra". You've to choose one of the two to move the loco.
If you choose "Manovra" you cannot pass 30 kph.
If you choose "Data introduction", you've to set everything inside (too long to explain here, but as soon as I can I'll prepare a short movie).
Then, SCMT will calculate every frame a braking curve to fullfill the actual speed limit, the next speed limit, the following signals, etc etc. If with your speed you're above this braking curve, SCMT will act. I'm not a full expert on SCMT, but if I remember well as soon as you're 3kph above the expectation, there is some sound and visual warning, the traction is cut off and if this is enough to reduce the speed within the curve, nothing else happen. If you're above the 3kph threshold thatn the emergency braking start.
At least this are basic info I can write not knowing what was the condition of your test....
Ok, I'm rebuilding the assets now.
I'll then replace the old with the new one in the route.
The next build release will have it corrected. When, I've to check with Just Trains as soon as they will be back from Christmas holiday.
Ok, that's at least a step forward.
So, the setting was already at max now or it was already when you'd originally the issue?
For the texture it is even more strange.
Now what I'm asking you is only for you to try to have the game fully playable while I'll modify the names.
1) Can you pls reset the TSC cache via the setting panel and try to see if the texture will come up using english language?
2) Then, if you switch back to hungarian language, can you confirm also that the speed board will be not visible anymore=
The next request is for me to be more precise:
Using TS-Tools after switching the language back to hungarian, can you pls check the route and send me a list of missing items and textures?
After launching the check, TS will show the list of missing items. In the bottom part there is a button to eliminate the duplicate (to have a shorter list). What I'm interested are the missing assets of my provider Cast0213. I assume a screenshot is more than enough. Then clicking exit TS should give a list of all the used assets (I do not care of them) and then TS should ask if you want a list of missing textures. This is also interesting to me.
Pls do it only if you've time. It's important for me to avoid to scan thousand of lines searching bad names (unfortunately searching file for some special char is not working on windows) but I understand it took times, so pls if you cannot, no problems at all!
Thank you.
Interesting not everyone has issues with the special chars, so it might indeed depending which language of windows is used (or which supported languages are additional installed)?
...
Yes, you're totally right. The few assets with the name was mainly related to the older speed board (speed = velocità in italian). Generally the rest should be with standard chars. I saw that in the scenery tile the "à" is changed with a different char by the TSC compiler. Maybe this is a char not included in some of the language and therefore this is not correctly interpretated by the system.
I was not thinking to it when developing the assets... Thanks for your comments. I'm only interested to know if adding a second language to windows, and choosing it before launching TSC will change something or not. At least is a quick workaround to temporary solve the issue.
Hello. It could be something related with the special chars. To correct it I've to change a lot of assets and send a new package to JT to be released after being sure not to cause any other issues.
I'll keep you informed but thanks in advance to be patient on it. It is something I was not aware...
Pls give me only a couple of feedback, just to be 100% sure:
1) In your TSC setting, in the advanced graphics, do you've both the quality and densisty to max? If not, can you check if something change doing it?
2) If you add the english language in windows, and you switch in english, it is changing something?
I feel not, but if you can also do these 2 test, can be important for me.
Thank you and I apologize for this problem....
So the texture are there and perfectly nominated (even if with special char)
Can you also add the other folder I requested?
Assets\Cast0213\Common\RailNetwork\Pack Segnaletica Linea
Thank you. Sorry to ask some efforts but otherwise I'm not able to try to understand....
This is what speed signs look like. It's the same on the rest of the route.
There is something really strange.
If the special char were the issues, the numbers should be anyway visible, because there is not special char on them. Have you had some issues during route installation? Which version you've installed?
If no issue during installation can you pls make me a screenshot of at least the final part (in alfabetic order around "V" letter) of the following folders?
Assets\Cast0213\Common\RailNetwork\Pack Segnaletica Linea
Assets\Cast0213\Common\RailNetwork\Pack Segnaletica Linea\Textures\Numbers
Thank you
I use the TSC program in English. The Windows system language is Hungarian.
Hello, can you pls post a screenshot of how the speed board lookis like in your TSC? If you can take it more or less in the position shown in the pictures below it is more than ok.
It is immediatly after Novara station in direction of Torino
Kim_olesen1 I described the cause of the error. The error is not with the railway signals. The speed signs are not visible in the TSC program due to the special characters (à,ç,ô,è,é...). These are located in two folders: Pack Segnaletica Linea, Pack Ambient. Check it out, I'll be right. The solution is to rename the files containing the special characters (a, c, o, e), and also the path to the track folder. I am a basic user, not a professional in the TSC program. That's why I asked Cast0213 for help.
Hello fonok79
It sounds strange that special char on some of the assets will give you this problems. Pack Ambient is only environment audio and there are a couple of sounds with a special char. Speed board included in the other Pack have some special char in the assets name, but not in the numbers. Are you seeing floating white numbers without board behind? I assume you've windows in german language, isn't it?
Anyway you're the first one highlighting this, so I need to investigate also with other user with the same environment.
Is there anybody else in this forum with the same problem? If yes, thanks for a feedback.
Danke. I really hope that we can keep the thread opened to help/inform each others. But it is up to us....
Thank you denisfl
As a slight off topic post, I created an account to this forum for 2 main reasons. To explain my point of view and the background of the project, and to understand what a different community think about it, being able to interact with everybody if needed.
Bahnfreak, Hauptstadtbahner and others have expressed opinions, acceptable or not is a subjective decision, but at least they have underlined some points that they do not like of the route.
They have the freedom to think that other routes are more attractive and I have the freedom to decide if their opinion could be used to improve the route, if possible, or not.
And I ensure you that I'll think about it for the future because I still do not reach a conclusion.
This is what I expect from a forum. That is useful.
But if this is not how it is used, then I loose all the interest to participate, because all of us have other life problems more important than a game that need all the energy focus (and I feel not to be the only one thinking in this way).
Having told that, let's go ahead...
Have a nice evening.
Thank you thorsten30480
I'm happy that now is working. Let me know if something else is it not ok.
Your screenshot was really fundamental to catch immediately the root cause..
As I've already written, everybody can say what they feel, having respect of the work and the time spent by the others.
Under this aspect, I feel that saying that this route is the worst 40 euro you ever spent and that the route is full of errors and equal to the SFM, is an opinion on which personally I don't agree.
But if this is the way a discussion on the forum is based on, I do not see any way in which I can understand, hear, help, learn or improve something.
Thorsten, Johmathema, thanks.
I think I've found the issue. I'm sorry but I've discovered a problem in the script that under certain circumstances give this problem that, making the long story short, at the end block the script itself during the initialization of the loco.
I should have already found a fix. I'll try to send within this evening a mod to JT to be released within tomorrow. Again sorry for the problems and thanks to have immediately highlight it and for the patience...
Hello Torsten,
as i wrote quoting you yesterday (but published from the moderator only now after reviewing it), there is something wrong on the screenshot you publish that suggests some initialization errors. Pls read it just to be aligned.
If launching a scenario you'll see, before doing a single actions, a lot of lights switched on and/or strange stuffs, pls let me know. Minuetto at the beginning should be completely off.
This could be a reason while everything is "blocked". If yes I need to investigate what is going wrong (and more than this why you are the first to pointing out it). If you can, pls put a scrshot of the minuetto cab immediatly after starting a scenario. Same for Johmathema if he still have problems to switch on the loco and if he as also the same strange situation at the beginning.
In case it is critical, maybe I'll ask you to directly get in contact with me via mail to give you the full support to solve the issue....
Thanks
Kann mann den Minuetto auch schnel aufrüsten? (zB miet ctrl z?) Ich liebe die experten Sachen nicht so gerne, ich fahre lieber einfach. Verstehe aber sehr gut, das es einen guten Fortschritt im TSC ist, das die Bedienung der Lokomotiven immer realistischer wird.
Hello, yes it is possible.
I recommend you to look at the manual or to the video specific from the minuetto here.
There are 3 way to do the initialization. Manually command by command, automatic (equal to manually but done by the loco script) via the CTRL+Z and rapid, in one shot, via the CTRL+X command.
Same kb shortcut used in the E464 free loco by Worcester George...
