This also happens when you have too many scenarios. I had only 5 routes showing in QD, I have over 200, and about 75% would be QD compatible For me the only solution was to create a second Content folder. I now have one with British Routes and one with Non- British routes. Now I have fewer crashes and all QD equipped routes now show in the menu. I simply rename whichever folder I am not using to Content F or B before starting the game. Needs care with updates, but easy to copy and paste if an update ends up in the wrong folder. Several UKTS members use this or similar solutions for the same problem.

Also a pity that JT have had so many problems with their routes, I will wait and see, it is not really my era and the 166/170 are not so much fun to drive. DTG have an LT release coming, but no one is sure yet whether it is fantasy, just Acton museum, or a real line. Time will tell.

At the moment JT are busy with patches for the Western Main lines (Hotfix 3 for V1.09a and counting)/ South Devon Mainline, and their Chiltern Mainline is also near to release. They also have the Cornish mainline under development. They are now a much smaller team than they were and I wouldn't imagine the patch will appear before all except the last are dealt with, unless you are very lucky. They need to keep the money coming to survive and that means that their priorities are not always ours. Could be worse, it could have been sold through steam by DTG, in which case I would collect my pension long before it was released and maybe we would have peace on earth as well.

What is updated in the latest update since the last (December 2016) update?

Improvements with the April 2017 update include ....
Complete redesign of Scunthorpe, to reflect it in the 1950s/60s.
    Marshalling Yard at Scunthorpe.
    Marshalling Yard in the steelworks.
Big improvement to the Gunness (Scunthorpe) viaduct, and to Keadby Bridge across the Trent.
Keadby Power Station and its lines.
Wharfs, fed by rail lines along the Trent.
    Crowle.
The Bridges and viaducts on the Isle of Axholme Light Railway crossing the Scunthorpe main line.
The triangle off the southern end of the NLLR did not exist at the same time as the NLLR railway station, but I’ve used a bit of artistic license to include both.

Naming of Stations: “Scunthorpe” refers to the NLLR station. Scunthorpe & Frodingham refers to the station on the main line.

Note: The golf course visible from the viaduct is where Tony Jacklin was practising at the time set for this route! The Old Showground, home of Scunthorpe United is included as a distant object. It was home to a young Graham Taylor, and to Ian Botham and Kevin Keegan.

Unfortunately @kiter you appear to be in the minority, most want greater features to simulate the real vehicles, especially better physics. Regarding total price, to me it simply confirms that most DTG items are overpriced and there are plenty of sales that I am sure that you like everybody else take advantage of. So probably around 7 euros for a DTG vehicle is more likely. Certainly I wait for sales unless it is a really special item. As the economy is dead here and I am on a four day week I have not much choice.

As you say DTG policy has resulted in a fragmented batch of class 66's, but this pack only applies to the V2 class 66 packs. The earlier packs are significantly different. As for price, if you own the Pro pack already you get the price of it deducted from this pack. AP have kept the price of their sound packs the same since they first started producing in Railworks days, and it has often been said they are too cheap for what you get. Compare an AP pack to a Versystem re-skin pack for instance. So it is not surprising that the price of these enhancement packs is a little higher. I think that all future sound packs will probably be enhancement packs as this is what most buyers want. Some like this one will use elements of the pro-pack and be discounted, others will be largely or completely new and will be full price.

AP had intended to include the 266 in the pro pack, but the promised sound files were not forthcoming. I was sent the files from another source, but it was too late to include them in this pack. In addition this pack was produced with the original scripting because the scripter is busy elsewhere and that is why there is a discount to the value of the original pack, so it probably would not have been included this time anyway. Another issue is that AP knows nothing about railways outside of the UK, and he would probably have wanted to do enhancements to it if it had been included in this pack to match the 66. AP already have a long string of products in the pipeline, some will be like this pack, others are completely new but awaiting the attention of his scripter, so it is unlikely that the 266 would be attractive for him on it's own. However I am sure that there is the talent in the community to produce something similar for the 266 utilising parts of the Class 66 enhancement pack.

    Planned update
In addition to the cutoff indicator, a few other assists will be added. The first of which is an injector assist which when activated will automatically position the two injector trimmer valves to their optimum position allowing the injectors to be started consistently with a simple tap of the I and K keys for the left injector, and O and L keys for the right.
The second assist when activated in its first mode will alert the player if the engine or ejector are priming, and to what extent. For those who prefer not to use assists, visual indicators have been added; white exhaust for when the loco primes lightly with additional water droplets when priming heavily. The ejector also has water flowing from the drip valve when it is priming.

    New Scenario pack coming from DPS simulation;

New Scenario Pack - Coming Soon

I am pleased to announce an all new upcoming scenario pack from DPSimulation.

Featuring ten scenarios set over two routes, the Creative Rail 'Modern' route from York to Peterborough and ECML: London to Peterborough, the scenario pack is set in the late GNER era and focuses mainly on the Valenta engined HST, although you will get the opportunity to drive a Class 91 and more strangely, a Class 156 from Doncaster to Peterborough!.

Because the scenario is set over two routes, this means that the requirements are very extensive. I have announced the pack as in development today, specifically because a Steam sale is currently running and many of the addons listed below are available at a reduced price. It's also an opportunity to get hold of any freeware repaints in advance of the scenario pack being released.

The pack is now in the later stages of testing and will be released once this testing has been completed.

    http://dpsimulation.blogspot.c…rio-pack-coming-soon.html requirements listed here.
