  • AP HKA/JMA Wagon Pack

    Coming very soon - HKA/JMA Wagon Pack!
    Built in 1995 for National Power, the JMA wagon started off life transporting coal to Drax Power Station but it wasn't long before they started being transferred to other workings such as aggregate. Until 2014, they soldiered on in their original National Power livery but following a shortage of wagons, DB Schenker decided to enter them into a refurbishment project where they were reclassified as HKAs and outshopped in the striking red livery.
    These wagons are very similar to the HHA wagon so use our existing HHA model as their base. As a result, this pack will be available to those who own our existing HHA Wagon Pack at a discounted price of just £2.99.

    If it is not resolved in a couple of days, I will upload the latest full version of RW_Tools to the uktrainsim library as I used to do.

    Service pack 4 now available


    ITEMS ADDRESSED IN THIS SERVICE PACK:
    Service Pack 4
    This version of Western Mainlines is required to be installed to allow the South Devon Main Line Western Mainlines Extension to work.
    Work in the Paddington Station area to help improve frame rates.
    Signal removed at Newport that was located in track area.
    Platform marker placed and extended at Newport station.
    Miscellaneous improvements to the route and scenarios in general.
    Replacement of lofts to dedicated London Underground track
    Roads changed from Kuju to Just Trains custom.
    Just Trains custom track textures improved.
    Just Trains custom track ballast textures employed.
    London Underground tracks electrified.
    London Underground S8 stock Ai (for artificial Intelligence use) included. Can be user driven. Has head/tail lights, sounds and whistle but has no cab, interior or animations.

    A further post on UKTS for the South Lancashire and North Cheshire - BR Blue


    Further to Nick's post, this is Phase 1 of this route and contains all of the previously published Liverpool to Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly – BR Blue route and a brand new section completing the line between Wilderspool Loop, in Warrington, and Garston Docks…….also connecting to the WCML at Ditton. All Yards, Depots and Power Stations from the era are included. Due to the amount of regeneration and modernisation which took place in this area during the 1980s we have decided to be very specific regarding the year in which this particular section is set – 1983………12 months either side of this and much of the scenery, and track, would have been very different. The Manual included with the route details future Phases…next Phase will be Warrington to Chester.


    All Liverpool to Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly scenarios are included ( they have been cloned to be compatible with the new route ) along with some new scenarios covering the Garston section and some Quick Drives and Free Roams….around 30 scenarios in total.


    NB. This download contains several miles of WIP ( Work In Progress ) sections, WIP sections are driveable but there will be imperfections affecting scenery, track and OHLE –


    WCML Ditton Junction to Weaver Junction – part completed between Ditton Junction and Runcorn so as to be visible from the Warrington/Garston line, track only between Runcorn and Weaver Junction.


    Warrington Bank Quay to Chester – completed as far as the bridge over the Manchester Ship Canal, track only and some basic scenery up to Chester.


    If you notice any issues then please report them here – Nick and I can then check to see if the issues can be corrected, we can then publish an update. We are already aware that the ReadMe is missing, this will be addressed soon with a different set of files being made available for download in case anybody is not sure how to manually install the current files.

    This includes all that was in the previous route, Liverpool to Manchester Victoria & Manchester Piccadilly- BR Blue Period (including the scenarios under different GUIDs). Hence, players can remove the former (remembering to transfer any of their own scenarios or those downloaded from elsewhere).

    Certainly an alternative to the banks would be welcome. What form that could take is another difficult question. As for the Greatest EU failure, there are many I would suggest, just as there are for individual states. We have had peace for a long time, but with that comes complacency and that with the EU's current state is a dangerous thing. It would be ironic if that complacency bought about the loss of peace. Our own experience suggests that the politicians in the EU have learnt nothing from the past, when we voted about leaving were we told how wonderful this European dream was? were we encouraged to believe in it? No we were threatened with dire consequences if we left. How little understanding the political elite have of the people here, or I suspect of other countries.

    @Smokey With me the e-brake often de-couples from the train brake when stopping and remains on after the train brake is released. Make sure that the e-brake released as well as the train brake. If it's not, you'll get no power to move.

  • [DTG] North London & Goblin Lines Add-On

    When the doors open in real life the brake should automatically go to Step 3, when they close it should release to whichever position the throttle is in, if it is a power position you will not get power until you go back to neautral. You have to pass through neutral with the doors closed to get power. My way is to release to step 1 as the train stops, then when the doors close and the brake releases, it is quick to take power, and you don't roll unexpectedly. This is how it was done in real life, presumably it still is. The brake is too slow to release on the 172 and it should not go to emergency. in real life the 172 has a mechanical drive and sounds very different to a 170. Maybe AP will oblige with a more accurate simulation and sound, although if you say this on UKTS you may get a holiday now. The route is nicely done, but the 172 a little lacklustre.
