The class 90 will be updated to work with the neutral sections, the creator has said it is simple with the source file, but he needs to find time. Somebody on UKTS is already working on a modification for the 86's and the older 87.

The 117's were built with Leyland engines. The 101's were originally two classes, 101 with AEC engines, and 102 with Leyland engines, the 111's and a very few others had Rolls Royce engines. In the 70's AEC engines were no longer being produced and there were no longer any spares, therefore the AEC engines were replaced with Leyland engines. The two engines sound almost identical. The Rolls Royce sound different, but the 111 was incorrectly released with 101 sounds. It has been confirmed that this is the IHH model with some changes made by DG, no doubt we can look forward to further releases of former IHH. I think those that paid for the final package are not going to be very happy.

If you look at the passenger view you can see that the DG model originated from the IHH as the wall and door textures are the same. Also both models have the same body error in that the blank area between the cab and the first passenger window is too long. Looks like DG have changed the cab interior, moved the passenger view and changed the passenger seat colours, probably changed the sounds and possibly the physics as well.

In the uk museum lines are classified as light railways, this means that the maintenance and operational requirements are much less stringent, but speeds must be below 25 mph. The 117 appears to be the old IHH models with some work done to them by DG. At the moment nobody on UKTS is willing to buy it because in this form it's use is very limited and not strictly correct even for the WSR. In real life the unit is a hybrid of class 117 & 115. No doubt somebody will buy it later on and we will find out if the sounds etc are improved.

Just a quick message to say that AP has now updated the CLass 86/87 soundpack so that the fans shut off when running through a neutral section on this route, and resume on exit. You should re-download

The 47 with WCML over shap is based on the RSC model- reskin and new scripts. There is a new steam railcar in production, see here http://victoryworksts.blogspot.co.uk/ I have to say that for me the IHH models were poor, most have very obvious faults and poor sounds. If you are less familiar with the real Locos then the models are probably more acceptable. Nobody is sure at the moment what has happened to the IHH models or whether the new RSC 117 is a new model or has been developed from the IHH model.

Yes, a very nice route. Very detailed, but this means that it is a demanding route that needs a good computer, especially at the southern end.

You can brake without problem in a neutral section. The loco will automatically maintain the braking rate with the air brake until line power is restored, at which point it will activate the e-brake again. When braking amps need to be at 0 or you will get a fault.
The tap changer indicator should be at 0 or a low setting and the power handle moved to the "Off" position when you enter a neutral section. When leaving the neutral section you should ensure that the tap changer indicator is at 0 before trying to take power again. If you try to take power before this you may get a fault and have to reset the fault as posted above. We have posted at the same time, so some duplicate info. -
For those interested Armstrong Powerhouse have already started to create a scenario pack for the route. https://www.facebook.com/armstrongpowerhouse

Not only a new repaint from Keith, but also new scripts and physics from Kromaatikse on UKTS. It isn't currently known if the BR class 87 addon will be updated to match. They have also done the same for the 47, as noted by Kiter.

Class 87 was a Digital Traction ai model originally, not IHH.

The linked file has been withdrawn as some sub files had been forgotten, it will be re-uploaded with the missing folders. A small update is here http://wikisend.com/download/301314/WCML_L&M_TR_V2.zip the thread is a little confused but I think the updated file will need to be installed before the one in the link I have put here

If you press CTRL + Num Pad Enter a visual alert will appear in the top right of the screen for the sifa and aws. The sifa can be switched off with ctrl + E. Hope this helps

Beautiful route, thanks very much

Aerosoft have said on Facebook that they need to re-write the installers for the OMSI add-ons, but it is very poor that they have no warning in the shop. They say that the rewrite will be quick? The city-bus add-on seems to be included in the new version. So far I have Great Grundorf running and will try with some of the other free third party routes later. If you don't already know it, there are a lot of free add-ons for OMSI here http://aussiex.org/forum/index…msi-1-general-discussion/ , English language only I'm afraid and you need to register. This is the download page for OMSI http://aussiex.org/forum/index…/category/59-omsi-addons/ for those who find English difficult

Maik has posted on UKtrainsim that they are Vr models

Originally the HST's were fitted with Paxman Valenta engines, at the end of BR days some were re-engined as a trial with VP185 and Mirlees Engines. Since privatisation all have now been re-engined, mostly with the Mirlees engine, but some, for instance Midland Mainline use VP185's. Some that were re-engined with VP185's have been re-engined again with Mirlees. For me the only real sound for an HST is the Valenta, but that is because I drove them with this engine. I hope this is clear, unfortunately my German would not be so. The AP sound packs make a very big change to the very poor RSC sounds, to the coaches as well, they are well worth the money. The Valenta is generally regarded as the better sounding engine in real life.
