Hi oldsnake
First of all, thanks a lot for this awesome piece of software, it makes TS so much more fun to drive! ![]()
I wanted to bring up a suggestion Kim_olesen1 did make some time ago, which is to have some sort of basic EBULA (from German DB) or LEA (from Swiss SBB, see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/…onal_Electronic_Assistant) by having the track/speed information displayed in the taskbar in a vertical order, moving on with the position of the train. Is that something you might consider implementing?
I am asking for a feature (along with the choice to costumise the hud/tasklist to anyones personal liking) to be added.
For me personally, i’d prefer not to have the rolling trackinspector at all, but to have it integrated in the tasklist. That is closer to how reality works. And i don’t want to be shown the aspect of the next signal either. That is not how German railways work. Nor do i want to see if the next speed allowance is more or less. Ebulas do not show that either. They show what the allowed speed is in the next section. Not if it’s more or less.
Then I have another suggestion: As the information given by PIS announcements may vary across different countries (or even lines), would it be possible to make those announcements customisable as well? E. g. in Switzerland there are no announcements such as to step back from the platform before departure or regarding unattended luggage. And instead of train numbers, line numbers (IC 1 / IR35 / S11) are announced etc.
Third suggestion: would it be possible to make the elements of the HUD scalable - and maybe even to “squeeze” them (to adapt them 3D to a part of the cab), so it fits e.g. over a speedometer or display in the cab?
I know I am suggesting or asking for a lot here
and am well aware that these features would be really deluxe. But who knows, maybe you would like to add some features? Then I would absolutely love to have an EBULA-like feature ![]()
Just to be clear: RWE2 is already amazing as it is, I am a big fan!
