You mean like this ?
BlackHawk CrystalDisc reports 93% health. It is only little over half full. 500gb in all, and my TS installation is 250gb
V200.1 4 or 5 years. And it’s been used extensively. It is not showing full health either when i analyse it.
Just a hunch, based on the analysis and help from the community.
I backed up the entire d drive (where my steam stuff is). Formatted the drive. Copied the backup back. The freezes are now gone ![]()
Still, this probably means i have to get a new ssd very soon.
Pretty sure it is as you both say. The SSD is showing signs of problems. I have a backup. Will probably buy a new SSD.
Thanks for the input all of you ![]()
Regarding the Brennerbahn. There is a FANTASTIC update from user fsclips here in our database.
So i’ve monitored my system while running TS and found this. The SSD that my TS is on will randomly max out at 100% performance, while the cpu drops from 35% to almost zero.
What causes this i have no idea, but this clearly is what freezes TS.
Gsonz It’s an i54670k
I am considering it, but the motherboard is not the newest (Asus B85M-G) so it might not be easy to find a cpu with a socket that fits.
But my point is that it’s gotten worse over the last year. And generally i have ok performance. I mean, that Brennerbahn upgrade from fsclips is quite hard on most systems, i could not run the top of the Brennerpass, on my old gpu, but with my new gpu (gtx 1060 8mb) it actually performs really good.
But should those hangs be there? I mean, a bit of stuttering is what we expect from TS, but ten second hangs are quite severe. Specially when i am having them 10-20 times during a one hour play.
StS Ok. Think i will make a full backup before doing that.
It’s TS-Telemetry (build on simhub). The problem is there both when i use it and do not use it.
The video is made with an external capture card box onto another computer, to make sure it is not that. And it happens no matter if i am using Nvidia Shadowplay, or if i am not recording at all.
It also is completely random, and never in the same places. But it happens on every route i have.
TS is on a seperate internal SSD. So no defragmentation.
TS2600 Yes that is ofcourse a hard place for TS, but it happens completely random. And many times on every route i play. Do you have hangs line this too? I am trying to establish if this is a natural thing that everyone has, or if i should dive into troubleshooting.
143er 30minutes in. Not 30 seconds. I should have been more precise with how i wrote the timings.
So during the last years i've been having this strange issues where TS can suddenly hang for approx 10 seconds and then continue as nothing happened.
Specs on my PC should be adequate. GTX1060 graphics. i5 3,4 ghz cpu. 16mb ram. However the ram is of mixed speeds, and TS does give an ssd many many reads due to the huge amounts of assets that are being loaded. TS has it's own SSD, it's only half full. I did update all drivers (bios, chipset etc etc....)
Hang issues can be seen at 00:30:00 And two times shortly after another at 00:31:30. And many more times after that, untill the end. These are just examples, it happens many times, completely random, and on every route i own.
I also have a signalling issue, that i suspect have to do with late loading of assets, causing trains in front of the player train to load late, thus causing signals that should be on warning, to fall back from clear to warning. I know people will fall on me for using a RSSLO route to show this, but i've only had this for a year or so, and never had any problems before. I have it on many routes, so it's not isolated to this one. This problem is newer than the hanging issue, but both seem to be getting worse. I am also noticing that the faster i drive, the more often i have this problem, which is why i suspect slow loading of assets might be part of the problem.
Can be seen at 00:45:00 The distant signal falls from green to yellow.
Or even worse at 1:16:00 where the main signal falls back to warning.
Suggestions for solutions are welcome.
Might it be hardware related or are there background processes that i should switch off? I have excepted TS from Windows defender.
Same problem as Norweger. Between Riesa and Leipzig a couple of gpa stellen are faulty programmed.
Got a couple of Zwangsen i shouldn’t have had. Always a buzz killer for me when the route has errors like that.
Towards Leipzig, just before Borsdorf, you get a Zwangsbremsung for no reason at all. I think it’s a GPA with wrong settings.
Just after Leipzig Sellerhausen too. Also at a GPA. Was not going too fast.
Going with PZB.
Kal000px Let’s just say that that route does not always conform to the scripts of other italian routes.
Has anybody testet if the SCMT works correctly on the SFM Torino route?
Zugfan401er You are new here, but an unwritten rule is: It’s finished when it’s finished. No need to stress a person who is building something for the benefit of us all. Specially not when it has a “come on, what’s taking you so long?” tone to it.
Like you, i and many others, look forward to this addition to TS. But have patience, bitte.
Abwarten und Tee trinken!
