Try this. Load the qd without AI trains.
Push 8 and then fly around to the limit to load the scenery into the memory.
Exit the scenario. Enable AI trains.
Load the scenario.
(Do not exit TSC while doing this).

I can only speak for myself, but our forum recommended the TTB Blindzug back when i was in search for one, so that was the one i ended up using.
I do however use one more, which i had “costum built” for me. It’s an invisible repaint of the Kuju br 293. This way, with two different locos that have different top speeds and different accelerations, even how long a signal stays red is randomized.

I use the TTB blindzug for the Real Drives. They’ve been so kind as to let us users distribute it with the scenarios.

Rail&Fly Somewhere along the line i guess. While i haven’t stopped working on Real Drives, in fact i was putting the finishing touches to the München Augsburg westbound Real Drive today, the tempo has gone down somewhat. More of my computer time at the moment is music creation.
In regards to making Real Drives for freeware routes the Harznet would be on top of my list, but it will make more sense to wait untill the route is finished.

Is there a reason you’ve marked all three electric loco. options? It should only be OH.
No idea if that will make a difference as i’ve never marked all three myself, but they might be mutually exclusive.
And mind the train lenght as others have said.

Here is yet a QD perculiarity in TSC that is useful to know.
If you have consists that are without locos (for parked stock) and consists that are with locos (AI trains) and they share category, and are ofcourse properly configured, then, even if you set the spawn probability to 100%, you will not always get a spawn.

It’s unclear to me if there are other enhancements apart from the more precise TOD (which i really do not need to be honest).
Has anyone been able to work out if there are further enhancements?

Norweger Not a bug to my knowledge. I can get into Konstanz with no problems driving the vR101.
Remember: ANY warning of a coming speed-restriction below 100km/h, whether signalled or signage (which strictly speaking is also signalling) must be acknowledged. If you do that, and adhere to the brake curves, you will not get zwangsed.
