    SURVEY RESULTS

Of course, one of the major reasons for the survey was regarding the
priority of features for this and future versions of Trainz. The Initial
Goal voting was very close with over 1,500 votes recorded so
far. Interestingly, Option C, which came third overall was easily the
most popular #2 choice, while #4 was first choice for 22% of respondents
but "last choice" for 40% of respondents.

Statistics compiled from 1500+ Initial Goal Votes

Luckily it looks like all 4 goals will be implemented for release as pledges are still coming in via our store at: http://anewera.trainzportal.com/.
With $11,000 more to raise in the coming few months we're confident we
will get all four items into the release build (in fact we've built this
    into our schedule already).

    STRETCH GOALS

The most interesting results were always going to be analyzing the
order of the remaining Stretch Goals. With 25 goals to choose from and a
wide variety of interests to please, we weren't sure which items would
come out on top. In the end, the results show a real mix with
operational/prototypical systems, visual enhancements and world building
tools/improvements filling the top 10 slots.

    Statistics compiled from 500+ respondents

For the statistically minded, the priority order was calculated by
multiplying all first choice votes by 7, then 2nd choice votes by 6 and
so on. (In fact, the order was almost identical just by counting the
number of votes received for each item). The figures shown are the
percent of points tallied from the total points. So the Top 10 items
accounted for 65% of votes and the bottom 15 items made up the other 35%
    of votes.

While optimizations came 11th overall, it was the highest "7th vote"
choice indicating that many people were thinking "I would like these 6
things, but I also want things optimized". Speedtree had little support
as a #1 priority vote, but gathered much more support in the final
    voting positions.

Catenary had reasonable support at every voting priority, but just
not enough to get it into the top 10 spots. Both multiplayer and
multiplatform had good "top priority" support but little support below
that, indicating how some things are really very important to some
people, but they are in a minority. We will certainly take all this
information on board as we plan future updates.
