    Fortunately, I made a complete backup of Railworks2 yesterday, so I'm able to play in a "Railworks2 virtual environment" and enjoy your routes, until the "colleagues from the island" will find a solution, to make their latest "invention" *drunter* playable.
    Btw. my hometown is Trier and your "Altenburg-cathedral = Hohe Domkirche zu Trier" is absolutely superb !


    Finally, thank's a lot for your absolutely superb routes (both, AtW and iKB) an a lot of fun, I got with them in the past and I will have with them in future.

    yes this 3d track is a stupid problem. i have this also with my 3d track.


    try already to shut down the shadows on it . this helps a little bit but not much so its playing time with lods ;)

    Right you are, the LODs are the Key for this secret.
    On our route we had the same problems, but we couldt fix them with the right LOD-Settings.

    I already did make the LODS in the first place. My sleepers, tracks and trackbeds all have own LOD's. I did even made a special track for yards with the suffix _LD (low detail). In RW2 this LODS worked okay. Each sleeper was handled seperately. Now they are rendered in sections (as long as the tracksection is) So a large amount of sleepers are rendered to detailed now.


    What are those right LOD-settings? (distances 1_???? 2_????)
    Can it be solved by reexport the tracks? (maby some things are exported different now?)
    I will give it a try tommorow, and coming back to this forum when I have found it.

    Das verstehe ich jetzt nicht. Was haben LOD-Einstellungen mit irgendwelchen Geschäftsinteressen ("Payware") zu tun?

    Immerhin hat SAD zum Thema RW schon sehr Beachtliches abgeliefert. Bei "Anderen" beschränkt sich das Ganze nur auf vollmundige Ankündigungen. In diesem Zusammenhang frage ich mich wirklich, wer hier von wem etwas lernen kann ... *denk*

    verstehe ich das richtig: SAD hat eine mögliche Lösung gefunden und fragt hier nach und der Typ von Aerosoft meint, das es Payware ist und mag nicht helfen? Ja so es kann es gehen.....

    try this 1_0050_sleeper 3d lod 1 lod 2 flat plane with texture 2_0600_sleeper lod 2 ! play with this ranges . but make the second lod completly flat like the junctions.


    also your track bedding on long distanse make this also flat.


    im also forget the track holders on your sleeper ;) remove this after some distance.


    and dont forget to shut down the shadows on it. this can be done inside your bleuprint

    Also nur um das nochmal klar zu stellen...


    SAD hat die selben Probleme wie wir vor kurzen auch mit TS2012 hatten (wir durften ja schon etwas früher dran) und ich erwähnte nur, dass wir dafür eine möglich Lösung haben.


    Ich bin hier als privater Nutzer angemeldet, vertrete also keine Interessen meiner Firma, und wenn du schonmal was von Verschwiegenheitspflicht gehört hast, weißt du warum ich hier nichts sagen darf.


    Wenn ich hier Entwicklungs-Erkenntnisse poste kann mich das meinen Job kosten, und da hab ich weiß Gott keinen Bock drauf.


    Desweiteren gibt es Verbindungen zwischen SAD und Aerosoft, er kann also den offiziellen Weg gehen und nach Hilfe fragen, aber ich kann hier nicht einfach im Forum etwas posten.


    Ich hoffe damit ist diese Diskussion beendet!

    Du musst mich da irgendwie missverstanden haben. Ich wollte weder mit Dir diskutieren, noch Dich dazu überreden irgendwelche Firmengeheimnisse zu verraten. Ich habe nur ganz simple Fakten wiedergegeben. Wo ist also Dein Problem ? ?(


    Für mich gab es keine Diskussion, denn merke, was man nich anfängt muss man nicht beenden ! 8o

    Wo ist das Problem, Siegfried "auf dem kleinen Dienstweg" einfach von RailWorker zu RailWorker einen privaten Tip zu geben? Das muß ja nicht öffentlich hier im Forum für alle zu lesen sein, wenn es denn ein Payware-Geheimnis bleiben soll, wofür ich natürlich Verständnis habe. Aber einen Mitarbeiter, der derartiges für RailWorks und auf für diese Firma geleistet hat, sollte niemand derart von oben herab behandeln.

    A lot of discussion here, I can only say this about it (with thanks for those who did try to help);
    My problem is not a result of a lack of knowledge about lods in RW, i can make them as they should in Max and in Canvas. (experience enough now I think)
    They did work normal, and as many know, my route runs quite smoothly for a detailed route, I worked a lot on that part. (almost all objects have tested LOD's, shared textures etc...


    I can't understand the reactions of secrets. I did not experienced Aerosoft like that myself...I also helped others (working on payware)
    There shall be a reason.


    Here's a movie to explain it. I have discovered, it is not due to my models, because the kuju ones responding the same.
