The next point is, that the NS ordered the 3/4 Unit and SÜWEX & Meridian the 5 Unit Flirt 3.
So he must build one or two units more

It's indeed due to the different Voltage.
A French one would sound different as well, due to 25kV and 50 Hz.
Hey,
yup, the sound is in fact different, but very similar. Could be related to the fact that the Dutch version uses DC and the German one AC.

That would explain it. The traction motors are the same but there is some voltage conversion going on which is why the "whine" is different. That is my theory anyway
@ChrisTrains Yep it's from the voltage converters.
And as far as i know, all of them Flirts use the TMF 59-39-4 from Traktionssysteme Austria.
Bad news for Meridian fans:
Meridian have refused permission to use their colours and logos for the Flirt 3. Good news : I did receive written permission to use the R-Net colours and logos (without using any Abellio logos)...
Oh f*** it!
Sobald die SÜWEX Version mit PZB da ist, kann man ja immernoch ein Meridian Repaint machen
Genau.

@ChrisTrains German Flirt 3 operate for the following railway companies:
Und vielleicht bald Go-Ahead (wenn ich mich nicht irre :P): http://static4.swp-plus.de/sto…52X.jpg?version=144842440
Ist glaube ich aber nicht das finale Design oder?
Sehen wir es doch mal positiv:
Immerhin haben wir ein SÜWEX repaint für Koblenz-Trier
What's interesting is that Meridian said they don't want their colours in the game at all. It is possible that they would come after reskinners too. This wouldn't be without precedent. American Airlines once sued a reskinner in the Flight Simulator community for reskinning an aircraft in AA colours.
Trademark law is a weird world. I don't fully understand it - I just have to live it in to be legal
That´s really weird. Why would´t they want it? It´s free advertisement for them (at least that's my guess).

Who knows? I find this all the time. Some companies jump at the chance to see their stuff in the games. Some want a license fee (actually, a LOT want a license fee), and some just say outright "no". For example Provincie North Holland gave me permission to put the R-Net red/black/grey colours in the model, but that paint scheme is on top of an Abellio train, and Abellio have refused permission to use their logos. BUT Abellio are a child company of the NS, and they HAVE given me permission to use the NS logos.
So NS yes, Abellio no, Rnet yes.
Confusing
Well, it´s like it is. The might probably change someday.
Anyway, really looking forwards to the FLIRT 3, having experienced traveling with one by SÜWEX some weeks back. Far superior in terms of running stability and noise level to the old DBpza coaches. I´m also using FLIRT 1 (RAB 521) almost daily.
@ChrisTrains
It would be interessting to know if @Influenzo got the permission to build the Meridian...
Greetings
@ChrisTrains Normally they don't sue reskinners in the TrainSimulator scene. At least I never heard of it before. But did you find any interesting versions of the FLIRT 3 in the list I made in post #209?
@Supergamer11267 Just because it did not happen in the past, doesn't mean it won't happen in the future.
Especially someone that offers payware should be very very careful with something like that.
Jap. Das ist das Finale Farbkleid.
