    Well, no reaction to any of my points and another attack... all right. No I did not send a PZB fix to the dev, do you send patches to Microsoft for your OS? However I did offer to the dev to send the fixed keymapper file; no answer. I cannot send a file via a web form...


    But anyway, this is it for me, life is too short to spend it in disputes about nothing. I simply asked the developer if they planned to finish the PZB implementation and when it would be. No answer; then I asked the same here. If you think this is unacceptable to do as a customer for a product you paid for, so be it. And know what? On many occasions I've seen developers telling me that they would not fix an issue or implement a new feature because nobody asks for it or complains. And now asking is wrong... ?


    This really ends here, no offense was meant, and I sincerely hope you didn't really mean what you wrote too. I very much like the BR218 model, the main problem with the keyboard control is fixed now for me and I'll be waiting for further updates from the dev.

    1. If you're talking of my emails to railtraction, I was not pushing anyone to anything. In my first message I even suggested what needs to be done to fix the keyboard control bugs (please see above in this thread) and simply asked if PZB fix is planned in the future.


    2. I believe the other PZB train types can be introduced into the model by spending no more than several hours. Additionally, per certain posts I have seen here, the latest version available is around for quite some time... PLUS..if someone is not able to fix a simple problem in the keymapper file that takes several minutes to correct and that _seriously_ impacts driving experience, I have _every_ reason to believe this is an abandoned model and will never be updated again.


    3. This software is payware, I have every right to ask if an issue will be fixed. If it is freeware, rest assured I will be silently waiting for the author to be so kind to provide an update. Period.


    Don't get me wrong, but honestly your notes on kids in the backseat are not applicable here and are perceived by me as unnecessary personal attacks.

    two weeks ago I contacted railtraction using their online form asking several questions regarding their br218 model. No answer received. Yesterday I re-sent the questions to them. Nothing yet. Do they ever answer? Does anyone know if they plan to fix their pzb and overall if they are going to release the final version? It seems to me there hasn't been an update for quite a long time...

    I think it is becoming more and more obvious this will be a true gem in anyone's Train Simulator collection. This route is a pure beauty. This will be the first TS item I will buy the first minute it'll be out not waiting for any user reviews. As with every add-on, there will be bugs, I'm sure of it, but this time I will keep my eyes closed (or at least I'll try to ;) ). The only thing I am afraid of is it will be a bit harder on frame rates...

    yeah this sound looks perfect to me. It would be great to capture an engine (cooling) startup, running and shut down like that. The sound you linked is not the one I want to replace though...you know which sound I mean...? The one that starts immediately after raising panto and turning off the circuit breaker...the other sounds in HRQ Taurus are more or less acceptable for me, although something like an Armstrong Powerhouse sound package for the Taurus would be awesome!

    Don't you think you could produce a better result than the current cool.dav sound (the basic cooling) even with a standard camera or video camera recording? Additionally it would also be great to capture the startup, running and shutdown sounds from within the cab, I think they should be a lot "softer" than the current sound.


    Honestly I would prefer to have in-cab sound to be used for external sound rather than the opposite as I spend most of my time inside the cab... Perhaps if we have both in reasonable quality, we may try to mix them in some way.


    Or someone finds a way how to change the scripts so that they can be finally separate...

    Hello gentlemen,


    I see that you are discussing the Taurus' sounds. This is a thing that was bugging for the past two months as I am not really very much OK with the cooling sound introduced back in May. With the latest update the cooling was finally "fixed" so that we have the basic cooling and traction motor cooling separated, but still the basic one sounds rather too "aggressive" to me when inside the cab. I was contacting HRQ about that long time ago, I was even sent the source file and created a better loop so that it feels more acceptable than in the beginning (if you remember the cooling sound from the beginning of May it sounded very repetitive and awful). But I am still not OK with the result.


    Would anyone have access to the Tauri and be able to record something of a better quality?


    Actually another problem is that ideally we should have separate sounds for internal and external views. But according to the developer there is a problem with that, so the sound has to be unified (the same for external and internal sounds for cooling) because if they are different the sounds restart every time you change your view. So no go here, but at least the sound could be of a better quality.


    Your thoughts?

    you need to update the input mapper file, there are some incorrect values in there causing the reverser and main regulator not to be controlled correctly using keyboard.

    If you do not uinderstand the how-to, I could probably send you my file, drop me a PM then. (I hope sending a simple input mapper file is not against the license policy, but personally I don't see anything wrong with it, it's a small file with no vital info on the model inside).
