Does anybody please know if there's a repaint available that brings the traffic red colour of the vR's 145 closer to that of the vR's 146?

And additional question: is AFB used in freight operations (generally, not just with the 145)? On many occasions I read no, once or twice I saw yes... Can someone shed more light on that please?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello,

I am of course fully aware that there's no official compatibility for the BR 145 and 146.0 EL locos with any driving trailer, but I still want to ask - did anyone try if some trailers could actually work and are driveable with the 145 and 146 being the push locos? Bnrbdzf for instance?

I would like to buy one of them, ideally the 146.0, but expecially in case of the 146 - without a driving trailer compatibility its use is a bit limited.

If it doesn't work and if vR plan to release a 146 with a compatible trailer, I'll probably wait for it.

    Thank you!

I beg to differ, guys. As I explained above - in TS the effect is far from what it feels like in reality. With Flirt 3 it does not make me believe there's a window there, but rather everything outside is covered in gray haze. Many models provide dirty windows, but there's a difference between dirt and gray tint. Flirt is one of those models that give you the gray tint rather than a feel of a dirty window.

If you could make it a bit cleaner, Chris, I am certain that would help the immersion, not ruin it.

BTW can I know which vR model do you have in mind, Berliner079? Yes, vR models have dirty structure on windows, especially outside the wipers' reach, but never the gray tint like the Flirt 3 does...

However from one video I could see, given the date it was created, that v1.2 almost definitely does NOT have the running sounds in the exterior view. You have them? If you drive the loco solo (no wagons), and change to external view, do you hear anything or is the loco almost silent?

    Hello,

can someone please tell me if after the last update in April this year the RSSLO's Vectron still has no running sounds, i.e. if the loco is running solo it does not produce any sounds from the wheels and rails and is unnaturally almost silent?

    Thank you very much!

I did try to clear the cache before and even deleted the whole *Witt folder from Assets, but no help there, I still get the handbrake problem.

And frankly I don't think the issue is about clearing cache or deleting old assets. When I replace the cab geopcdx file with the old v2 version, the issue is fixed, no cache clearing or anything else required.

My only theory is that the cab is referencing something in another 110 pack? Those of you for whom it's working do you also have the 110BF standalone package?

    Chris,

are you planning to apply the usual grey tint to windows in the cab view? I have to say I prefer a clear view out of the windows in the cab. I understand this is to make it more realistic, but to me it does not create the same effect as in real life. It makes everything outside covered by haze, which does not make you enjoy the route that much.

The reason you cannot set Zugart M is that your system in the DDI is set to OBB and not DB. If you set your system to DB it works flawlessly. Not sure, but I think OBB does not have Zugart M, that's why it's not available there.

    gtrans:

    @rogerjb1
You can uninstall the old version just like any other windows program. If you used the JT installer, you should have it listed under your programs as "Railjet Advanced" (or something similar).

    gtrans:
Du kannst die alte Version wie jedes andere Windows-Programm deinstallieren. Wenn du den JT-Installer benutzt hast, solltest du ihn unter deinen programmen als "Railjet Advanced" (oder so ähnlich) auflisten.

I don't know if it was a problem with the previous version of the railjet or not, but when I use the electrodynamic brake separately, it de-couples the ED brake from the train brake (which is fine). However I cannot couple the two brakes together again, they simply stay de-coupled. The manual says that if the brakes are both in the release position (F and FA), the coupling should work, but for me it doesn't.

Anybody knows how to fix this please?

EDIT: OK, I found the problem. There's a wrong mapping in the input mapper file. The decoupling keyboard key is the same as the dynamic brake keys themselves. Therefore if you use keyboard (like me) then when you press the dynamic brake keys you activate the decoupling as well. I re-assigned the keys in the mapper file and it seems to work fine now. It is still a bit tricky to place the dynamic brake into the right position so that it couples, but it works.

Does anybody know if the Suwex Flirt is compatible with Konstanz-Villingen's PZB? I was running a QD scenario from Villingen and close to Donaueschingen there's a speed warning of 8 where there should be a 1000Hz magnet active, I know that I have to confirm it in vR locos. With Flirt I did not have to wachsam anything.

    Any ideas please?

Will definitely try more scenarios on KoVi to see if it reacts to any PZB situations.

As a matter of fact I am short on disk space on my Railworks SSD ;)

But even if it wasn't the case - given the number of add-ons I have I always try to get rid of things that have a low chance of being used.

But if it's too much work to prepare such an installer, just ignore my comment, it's not a big deal anyway.

Can I please ask if you have any idea when the the RS1 could be released? I know it's too early to ask, but given the great quality that I see with the Flirt 3 product I'm really so much looking forward to that one.

    Hello Linus,

I found an issue in one of the files in the Flirt 3 sound mod pack. The file has a wrong start causing the loop to produce crackling, especially during acceleration and deceleration. The affected file is Fahrmotor v6.wav.

I can send you the corrected version if you're interested.

Anyway, my big thanks for the sound mod, it's excellent!
