@ NoFly, Have you opened the side grills as it advises in the manual. In real life, on these early diesels the roof fan was driven by the engine speed and not temperature, so when you reduce power you also reduce the cooling effect. The class 37's had a similar system, but were later converted to a hydro-statically driven temperature controlled fan. It was the 1980's before this happened and it took a few years, by this time the class 40's were on their way to the scrap yard or preservation, so they were never modified.

This version is far superior to the DT/JT version, Like the VR loks are to DT Loks. This loco is very special in the hearts of many British rail enthusiasts, almost an honorary steam engine. The IHH version was poor in may respects, the DT/JT a little better although not what was promised. This is very special indeed, but you will need to understand the manual. Although I am sure help can be given here to those with no or little English.

Problems with steam are twofold, one DTG will rarely update a route, and It Seems not at all if it will break scenarios workshop, and two, there have been occasions, not many, where theyhave accidentally Introduced bugs into third party add-ons , Just Trains have good support and a good history for providing updates, so theyhave to international customer base, and international add-ons. Halycon are good with updates, not sure about support, VR so are good, Rail Traction Likewise are pretty good now, but I think they May Not have quite as wide a range as customer JT. Edit: in the past DTG have insisted on exclusivity, this did not happen with Forest Rail, nobody knows if this is a special or if the policy has changed, I am sure however that JT could advise on this.
-
Personally I hope they have the sense to avoid DTG and go to Railtraction, VR, JT or some other reliable third party developer. Otherwise it will be a big problem if we need an update.

There is a quick start PDF in the info folder when you unzip the download. English only it would apopear.

Another sad loss I only just found out about. Never got the recognition he deserved. Remember seeing him many times in the 90's, he had a real fire in his playing at the time.

Pretty much impossible to get authentic sounds now, but he 'may be able to produce a compromise Which would be very close, and a million miles better than the present sounds. Probably will not be soon, he has many other projects at the moment I believe.

For those who find Darren Porters site useful he is asking for donations to keep it running. From Facebook;
Donation Drive
Although it is something I very rarely do, I am unfortunately left with no choice.
As many of you may be aware, DPSimulation rely on donations from you, the community in order to help maintain the future of the site and to enable us to continue to provide content.
If you like what we do, or just want to help out the site, please consider making a donation of any amount, however small. Paypal donation buttons can be found on both the blog, and main site at http://www.dpsimulation.org.uk/
As an extra incentive, all users that donate £4 or more will also receive a copy of the next scenario pack, based on the South London Network. This is due to be released within the next 7-10 days.
Thanks once again for your continued support.

Dannny3 is not Ottodad, he is a UKTS member who lives in Kent. It is also very obvious that they are two very different people if you read their respective posts on their respective forums. Their use of English is different as you would expect. Americans can't use English correctly * Naughty * : Uglysanta:

The assets are therefore included in the Lincolnshire lines route, see British thread. I am sure if you ask the author, Richard Maxtead he would allow you to include them in your download.
