According to JT release will be soon, so not a year. They had sought some advice to clarify some matters. I believe that they now have their answers, so I would assume that they are on the home run. Even a 70km route takes a while to beta test if you do it properly, and you can be sure JT will not release it without carrying out their own Beta test.

North Lincolnshire Lines have been updated again http://www.lincs-train-sim.co.uk/index.html

In the UK train numbers and classifications are not shown in the public timetable. They are shown in the railways Working TimeTable known as the WTT, these are published for each set of lines. On modern trains very few display the WTT number. In steam days lamps were used to denote train type. Early diesels used white discs to denote train types. On the southern railway discs's and lamps were used on steam locos to denote route rather than train type. EMU's on the southern originally had a stencil to designate route followed by a two digit display. In the sixties Diesel loks were fitted with 4 digit alpha numeric displays to display train number and route. They were taken out of use in the mid-late 70's. DMU's in the sixties had mostly two digit displays but a few had four digit displays. In short it was a bit of a mess, and the displays were often used incorrectly or were broken.

This route was originally created by JT for Railsimulator and I think has stood the test of time well. In the early days of the sim it was an essential because it's assets were used in so many freeware routes. DTG have said that it still sells steadily even after so many years. With the freeware LT standard stock you can go back to the 70's and 80's on the route as well. Short but sweet as we say.

I think that with the way DTG markets TS now, MA will be the least of a newcomers worries. The current lack of truly default assets creates far bigger problems, and that creates a requirement for far more than just one route to truly get anything reasonable out of TS2015. To come into this sim now is a very expensive proposition, only the sales give a partway reasonable way. I think that DTG need to address this problem when they go to the unreal engine. I wonder what Alterr thinks when he reads all this, maybe he regrets his decision to release the route, I very much hope not.

We've had quite a few requests again for the Light Pacific. We did give a months notice for this withdrawal items, but we've put in for back up for the next few days we've had this as so many requests. After this is will be gone for good. There will be an announcement later this year on its replacement. -

Apart from Forestland the previous JT routes Took well over a year to reach steam, so You may have to wait a while. No theywill not get the 15 Euro, but When it is released on steam theywill get even less after Valve and DTG take Their share. So I think to them to them the 15 euro is not a big thing. If I were Alterr JT and I would wait a while to release it on steam described precisely: because of this. JT support is far superior to DTG and so is Their update service, another reason to delay release on steam, so thatthey have control of any updates did 'may be needed. I wonder thatthere is no complaint did you need to run the TS route. As has been said on every TS forum in the world, nobody is forced to buy, but many will and with this route still believe thatthey have a bargain. If you want to judge the work of Alterr then look at his Omsi add-ons, they are held in a very high regard in that community.

We have had this discussion many times on UKTS, mostly about free routes but also 3 country, bris-ex etc. Bottom line is the route creator builds the way that he feels is right, outside of DTG most route builders create for themselves, not you or me, then you either accept that or you live without the route. It may be that you would have had a much longer wait than a couple of months, difficult to say until we know what has been incorporated from MA, and Alterr is already busy with other projects. DTG's constant changes which effectively abolished default content has and still does cause problems.

I notice that the post quoted in the news states that the BR420 & BR 423 are required. In fact alternative scenarios are supplied without S-bahn trains so these are not essential, but only nice to have. No doubt the Muenchen-Augsburg dependencies could have been removed, but then how many complaints of it takes too long? Quite possibly that route is default on Alterrs version of TS.

@ 'Engelbert' You're welcome. The black 5 with WLOS was released with improved sounds I think, the originals were poorer. The sounds for the 2MT came from SST and as I am sure you are aware Usually They are a big improvement. The 2MT was produced by Digital Traction, and isn't really advanced style controls, it will work ok with the auto fireman. If you want a real challenge try the Just Trains Standard 4 or Clan Loks. Or if you would like more loks with similar controls to the 2MT then Digital Traction have a 50% sale until Sunday. But it may be you have spent enough already : D . , The AP sound packs for the 37 & 47 are good, but I used to drive synthesis loks in real life, so to my ears They are not quite right, but this is a sim not real life.

@Jens_EW The remark about control in the cab means that the train does not work with the hud, you need to use the keyboard or mouse to control it. This model was made by OOVEE not DTG, it is installed under the OOVEE name. It was also made before quick drive became available, so it does not come with QD. If you are using the new TS2015 interface you may struggle to find this train. I am using a hybrid 2014 interface so I cannot help with that.

As somebody who was very familiar with most of the real trains Modelled by IHH I can say nearly every model IHH had what I would regard as a major error and the sounds are very poor. So DTG have released several ex IHH models, 9F, 4MT, 20, 27, 45, 52,56, 35, Teddy Bear, 117, 303 & communities did I can think of. DTG has in most cases improved the 3d model but the sounds are quite poor and most of the errors have not been fixed. Of course there are sound packs from Armstrong Powerhouse for some of the diesels and more will come. If you want a nice steam locomotive to drive on the route, the 2MT on steam is a nice lok with nice sounds and comes with scenarios for WLOS.
