I remember seeing a BR151 with mint dostos at Berlin Schoenefeld in the mid 90's. There were passengers on board. Somewhere I have a record of the lok number.

@Baw326 I have just finished reading a book on British Standard locomotives of which the Britannia class was one and the author says that not even these relatively modern locomotives were all fitted with speedomoters when built. Some were and some were not, apparently entirely at random. By the sixties most high speed steam locomotives had speedometers as far as I know. On the modern railway all locomotives must have a speedometer, and Britannia will have one fitted, together with AWS and TPWS. Originally though she was not built with a speedometer, this was added between 1955 and 1962. If you are really interested, there is a lot of info here, http://www.davidheyscollection.com/page90.htm maybe too much.

There were two ways that the drivers judged their speed, by listening to the sounds of the rail joints, and by the time between telegraph posts, not so good at night. After many years they knew their speed instinctively. I used to work with some of these men, and it is a testament to their skill that there were rarely accidents caused by excessive speed, unbelievable though it was. Speedometers were not fitted to all steam locomotives even in BR days, Although BR made sure that they were fitted to the faster locomotives and the new BR standards. Before the creation of BR some of the railway companies believed that speedometers were a distraction to the driver, they also were often unreliable with the technology of the times, which made them very dangerous. Mallard certainly had a speedometer in BR days, all the A4's did, in fact I just Looked at a video of Mallard in the 1980's and she was fitted with a speedometer then, but when you look at the NRM pictures it has been removed, this will be to bring the locomotive back to it's original condition.

Community patch available on UKTS here http://members.uktrainsim.com/…nfo.php?form_fileid=35320 you can stay with the default sounds, or if you have the AP class 20 and coach sounds you can improve the sounds. To change/correct the loco controls (DTG didn't quite get it right) you will need a reasonable understanding of English, or an English speaking friend who can help.

In more recent times Classes 170, 150, 156, and class 47's hauling a portion of the trains to/from London. In BR days class 101, 105, 20, 25, 31, 37, 40, 45, 46, & 47. The class 45's and 46's would have been on holiday specials. The class 20's would have been on holiday specials and freight. None of these three classes would have been very common. I think probably the RHTT trains may have visited as well.

Beautiful sounds and beautiful landscape. A lot of love was put into this package, and the few small errors corrected very quickly. Looking forward to the extra scenario packs. In the meantime I will enjoy the beautiful thunder of two class 37's at full throttle in a lovingly recreated landscape.

In reality they are fitted with a speed governor that cuts power at 62 mph. This caused a lot of problems when they first went into service.

Wherry lines patch 1.02 released http://www.armstrongpowerhouse…ct&path=86&product_id=155
- Colon removed from route name, in-game, to allow screenshots to be taken via Steam
- Incorrect signal ID on a signal at Oulton Broad North, fixed
- Player serviceName typo fixed on 19:00 Norwich - Lowestoft scenarios
- Two additional 'heavy showers' weather variants added for future scenarios -
If you had ever ridden on the real class 37 you would know why it is like this. Sometimes when you were driving them it felt more like you were running on the sleepers than the rails, and branch lines never recieved the best maintenance which added to the fun. It could be quite amusing to watch the reaction of somebody riding on these loks, and others for the first time.

Temporarily renaming the extracted GEML asset folder should cause a default to the originals in the AP, rather than delete anything
-
@Markus Schöbel seems that the replacement trees are a different size and orientation to the originals. This causes issues at a couple of places, hiding signals and passing through the driving cab. So a little more work is needed than just replacing the XML file.
-
Lot of fun. The difference with the refurbished class 37's as used here and the unrefurbished class members is that they had their DC generators changed to alternators, so instead of having to be very careful with increasing power, you could take power in the first setting then after a few seconds open the throttle to full if the rail wasn't slippery. I think 40 145 will take a run to the seaside later as well.
-
It would also be better to wait for the update, because some of the scenery will change. Unfortunately JT don't seem to be able to get their construction right which is a pity.
