One persons solution on the ATS Facebook group. Think I would back up assets and content before verifying files.
I have sound.
If you want sound too this works:
add .old the OpenAL64.dll file then Verify integrity of game files, run Setup Audio bat. start a youtube vid then start railworks with any route and train. I've not tried multiple startups yet.
Sound issue resolved. Make sure windows update has downloaded everything. Including the cumulative preview.
Download openal executable. And if you have followed my previously posted instructions then that OpenAL64.dll can be deleted and you can reactivate the OpenAL64.dll.old just by deleting the old bit <this will warn you about instabilities but it is ok..
I've achieved multiple start ups without anything else loaded. -

I remember the arguments about Thomson's restrictive EULA when Glasgow Airport Link came out. Have never understood his attitude, for sure he uses plenty of things in his life derived from other peoples work, we all do. Anyway, it's because of that I suspect the freeware model will still be very popular. There are very few scenarios for their class 350 compared to the alternative out in the wild, even before the EP pack. In the end I think it harms their sales, but as always their choice.
