I was getting mixed up with the Fleischmann crane, there was an article many years (decades?) ago in EK about fitting a full length etched jib to the model. It made quite a difference. Without direct comparison it looks similar.

Unfortunately, I can not do anything for his bankruptcy and for the fact that he no longer attaches importance to bonuses. He probably decided to start his own Brexit
There were a lot of things that happened in connection with IHH. Apparently he had a problem with criticism and accused the operators of the UKTS forum that he could not adequately respond to the criticism. After threatening legal action against the forum, everything that is written in this context has been (and still is) being deleted. He was also reminded by the UK Consumer Protection Agency, as the prices on the website were quoted without hours and consequently misleading the customer. There is more here: https://railworks.fandom.com/wiki/Iron_Horse_Hous
He also had some very public arguments on Facebook with AP and others. I can also remember a libellous tirade against UKTS on Facebook. Many of his models had serious mistakes, although some were also quite good, but he would not tolerate criticism of any kind, and consequently didn't learn. His support was poor or non-existent, and often showed contempt for his customers from what I experienced and could see. Probably the most contemptuous thing he did was have a closing down sale after he had reached agreement with DTG on sale of his models. It was an expensive sale and many people were upset when DTG quickly released improved versions of some of his models. He is currently developing a railway simulator of his own, but no matter how good it might prove to be, I would not go near it if it ever gets released because of his behaviour towards his customers. I have both of his cranes, it is years since i used them, and scenarios for them are like hens teeth.Back to topic, the thing that stands out to me is the shortness of the crane jib. I know that the Maerklin model had a shortened jib to allow the crane to run round train set curves. It's a pity that this was not corrected for TS.

Branch lines to East Grinstead DT_v3b Route
After completing the Bluebell railway route I decided my next challenge was to create the Middleton Press ‘Branch lines to East Grinstead’.
.I was fortunate in discovering the 'National Library of Scotland' web site and the 'explore Georeference maps', which cover the whole of the UK These 25” maps showed all the track layout and combining that with the gragient diagram had no problem in extending the line to Ardingly and Haywards Heath (proposed extension to the Bluebell Railway)
I didn’t have the luxury of gradient diagrams for the line from Three Bridges to Tunbridge Wells West, but fortunately managed to acquired three volumes of J.T.Howard Turner 'The London, Brighton & south coast railway' though it wasn’t as convenient and more time consuming I was able to extract line gradient information. Combing this with the above 25” maps meant I could made a reasonably accurate recreation of the line .
Provision was made for double track throughout, though only single track was laid between Ashurst junction to Three Bridges and from Horstead Keynes to Culvert Junction (Originally Barcombe Junction). I decided early on to have double track where possible as I find it slightly more interesting when encountering oncoming trains in the game. With the amount or development along this route since its closer I'm sure a double track would have been require, hay ho.
I have reinstated all the goods yards even those at Lewes, East Grinstesd,Royal Tunbridge Wells West, Oxted plus the upper level platforms at East Grinstead at the expense of the now supermarkets that now occupy these sites. All the goods yards along this route are as shown on the 1914 Os 25", apart from those on the original Bluebell line.
There has been talk about reopening some of the lines and from walking most of them it looks possible, even into Lewes via a long abandoned railway at Hamsey which could join into the existing Keymer Branch, however East Grinstead east to Brockhurst and Grange road no way. Even connecting to Three Bridges would be a problem. The route goes from Godstone tunnel (M25) and Oxted in the north, south to Lewes, then west to Haywards Heath, in the west from Three Bridges to Royal Tunbridge Wells West in the east, with the north south cross line west of Groombridge between Ashurst and Eridge stations (see thumbnail).
There are some track only stretches from Three Bridges west to Crawley and south to Haywards Heath. A road shows the Branch line from Eridge to Barcombe Mills, (possible next project) but this isn't included in the Branch lines to East Grinstead and one has to stop somewhere doesn't one?
The BathTemp track rules have been replaced with the Settle to Carlisle track rules.
The line is not electrifiedInstallation

I doubt if he says anything, he is not responsible for the steam files, valve and DTG are. You could drop a line to DTG support, good luck with that. Also Keith Ross used many DTG assets. If you can find which textures are corrupt then you may find them in another DTG route and be able to copy them across.
-
Make sure that the route is completely uninstalled before you re-install it again. It is thought to be random corruption of files, people also experience random disappearance of files as well. It can be very frustrating. It is one of the reasons that I maintain a second clean copy of TS, so that I can copy over any files that corrupt or go missing into my working version.
-
Several people have reported similar issues with some DTG routes in recent years, I had it with WCML over Shap. I went into my steam inventory, un-ticked the route, closed steam. Then opened steam and ticked the route so that steam would re-install only that route. After that the problem was gone.

@ B42 , does the track come with or without rolling stock?
He has stated that it does not come with stock. Trainworx will make available a pack with stock and scenarios, or for those who already have the stock a scenario only pack will also be available.
-
The scenario packs were always entertaining and thoughtfully put together, but I could imagine that constantly updating them is a mammoth task.
-
Personally I have been with the sim from the very beginning,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajvk1CFIM1M
Perhaps a rethink would also be necessary here. There are enough people with no "preload".
When I think of the scenarios of UKTS ..... * popcorn *The problem lies with DTG, after years of maintaining the basic version, we then got a different basic package with every annual "Update". How do you account for all of these different versions sensibly when you create scenarios? Most scenario creators go with what they have, in AP's case he has always used the most realistic options available, and in the early days he had more scenario packs than sound packs, they built his initial reputation
-
AP scenarios are as realistic as possible, it was always one of their selling points from the beginning, and as greater variety has come they have become even more realistic. If there is no good alternative for the JT wagons he will go with them until there is. Personally I have been with the sim from the very beginning, I have most add-ons, including many DTG that I will rarely if ever drive but are useful as AI.

Have you switched on the AWS (Ctrl +N) you will have to cancel it once you have turned it on, and is the master key turned 0n Shift +W. And most obvious have you released the Brake.
-
Not simultaneously. Hold U, then press A.

@ 'kiter' it's not an insult to majesty, I am just tired of seeing the same comment at every release. As we say "please change the record once in a while". It is even worse on UKTS, because there is at least one poster who tried to start a similar business with scenarios and failed. He criticises every release with venom, and invariably gets the thread locked at some point. I have given up posting anything about AP on that forum.
If using standard loks would attract more buyers, then Richard Armstrong would have done it long ago, he knows his market or he would have been out of business by now .
You may well have managed without RWtools for 8 years, but that doesn't mean it isn't an option, personally I find it indispensable, but it is a matter of personal choice. -
If you have the original sound pack it is still available, if not it was your choice not to buy it. Withdrawing from sale reduces any conflict with the new pack and reduces support queries. The scenario requirements are impressive because the majority of customers are regular purchasers and want to use as many of their AP add-ons as possible. They would complain like hell if the scenarios used the original loco's. There is always RWtools to change the scenarios, which is not Rocket science as they say. Ultimately you say pretty much the same for every release, but I am afraid it will change nothing because you are in the minority of purchasers. You buy with full knowledge, the choice is yours.

Class 86 Enhancement Pack - Liveries
Liveries to be included in our forthcoming Class 86 Enhancement Pack.
Many more variations within each livery are available than shown. These will be detailed in the manual.
152 2D nameplates are also featured. This encompasses all plates carried by the /2 sub-class and a select few from the /4 sub-class. -
It is likely that some of them at least will become involved in other projects in the future.
-
For me one of the big problems are the loco's that have a split chassis like Mainline, Replica, and early Bachmann. These are a real pain in the bum to fit decoders to, even the old Roco Koef is easier. Probably a lot of them will never receive decoders.

From Facebook;
After months of development, we are nearly there with our forthcoming Class 86 Enhancement Pack.
One of the most striking features is a newly modelled front, roof & pantograph (Stone Faiveley AMBR & Brecknell Willis variants). Transforming the look of this locomotive and making it almost unrecognizable from the old.
This new modelling has also allowed us to represent the different variations of jumper cables, as well as other small details, but more on that soon.
Rest assured, this pack will certainly be worth the wait. Stay tuned!
