@Schwarzwaldbahner It has about 5 positions I think, when it is fully open you will hear 'CLUNK'. Think it takes around 5 seconds or so to fully open.
-
@Schwarzwaldbahner Many people have struggled with the Ivatt class 4. It is important to use the dampers properly (Key M). Usually they are closed when you start, you need to open them a little. Also the engine performs better once it has warmed up, just like real life. In real life you would close the dampers before entering tunnels (fatal if you didn't) and when you needed to quieten down the fire.

Beautifully created route, more of a network really, and even better when you use the VP grass and tree patches. Many small details and cameos. Plenty of steam loco's and rolling stock provided, pretty much everything you need to have fun with the route. Loco's range from standard to expert type. Also a good selection of scenarios provided. Very good value for money.

For London underground the freeware Virtual District line is very good, but you will need payware add-ons for it to work.

Local trains from Berlin to Eberswalde were a BR155 and 2 x Bmh in 1994. Remember it well, emergency braking into Eberswalde, a lot of very annoyed passengers.
-
I cannot get the loco to move either. The train brake will not release even with the automatic start up. Having a worse problem with the RWA/SHG1014 as well. I wonder if there are more problems than just missing signals. I am using win10
-
There is a problem with this and several assets that appears to have been caused by a DTG update. They are aware of it and have been looking into it for several days now
-
The passenger seating layout is the main difference. I have the S8, but I am not willing to pay so much for a different internal view.

Please use the survey to give your general impression. Comments are welcome to
justify your decision, for example . For example, what did you particularly like or what did you particularly badly like, general design, technical implementation,
signaling, security systems? Performance comments are also welcome. Please also briefly state the respective
system data here (CPU-RAM graphics card). Cast votes can also be changed later, z. B. after an update. Please note, this is not a discussion topic. Questions about the add-on or other discussions are undesirable here. Please use a corresponding discussion topic for this.

I said in post 17 that scenarios were being created during the delay.
From the manual;
Tutorial Scenario:Ivatt Tutorial – drive from Tebay to KSE on the Ivatt 4. The controls required to drive and fire the Ivattare explained here. This is strongly recommended before using the other scenarios – both the loco andthe route can be a challenging drive, so this will help you get the most out fo the route.
Working Timetable Scenarios:These are based on the Summer 1953 Working Timetable and prototypical AI (which was pretty quiet atthis point in the line’s history):
0732 South Shields to Blackpool Ivatt Class 4 Summer Saturday special to Blackpool
1030 Penrith to Darlington Ivatt Class 4 Morning local service to Darlington
1125 Blackpool to Newcastle Ivatt Class 4 Summer Saturday special from Blackpool
1535 Penrith to Darlington LNER E4 Afternoon local service to Darlington
West Auckland to Lindal Pt1 Ivatt Class 4 Coal from Durham to Barrow to KSE
West Auckland to Lindal Pt2 Ivatt Class 4 2nd part of the scenario to Barrow from KSE
Lindal to West Auckland Empties Ivatt Class 4 - Banked Empties from Tebay to Barnard Castle.
To use these – launch the Simand go to “Drive” then the“Standard” tab and search“Stainmore”Scripted Scenarios:
Darlington to Penrith Local Std Class 4 1610 from Darlington to Penrith
Fuel to the Furnesses pt1 Ivatt Class 4 + Std Class 4 Loaded minerals to KSE, double headed andbanked.
Fuel to the Furnesses pt1 Ivatt Class 4 + Std Class 4 Loaded Minerals from KSE to Tebay, doubleheaded and banked.
Home from the Seaside Ivatt Class 4 Return working from Blackpool to SouthShields.
Lindal to West Auckland Minerals Std Class 4 Train of empties from taking over at Tebay toBarnard CastleLocal to Darlington
LNER E4 Afternoon local service to Darlington
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside Ivatt Class 4 x 2 Summer Saturday special to BlackpoolQuick Drive(QD)The route is fully QD ready. This allows you to pick any of the included consists and run over any part ofthe route, with many different starting points. For further accuracy, there are separate start points for passenger and freight which should route youcorrectly. For example, “Barnard Castle Yard” & “Burton and Holme Loops” are freight starting points. There are also separate starting points for era – those with “1953” should display AI trains moreappropriate to the early 1950s, and those with “1960” should display later ones – note that early BRliveries were something of a mix and match well into the 60s.The AI is set up particularly that only the AI consists in the route should show, which avoids the issue ofrandom irrelevant consists appearing in QD mode. There are also separatecategories of AI for the Shapand Stainmore sections as theyused different motive power andconsists.

We are pleased to tell you that the Stainmore, Shap and Eden Valley route is almost ready to send out to pre-order customers. One of the tasks tackled during the delay has been creating some immersive scenarios. This was very kindly taken on by Robert Macgregor. We thank him for that! Here are some scenes from said scenarios.
PLEASE NOTE: Pre-order has now ended. -

There are some Dutch Classics coaches that are interactive, but as i recall they put quite a heavy load on the computer. I haven't used them for a while as my PC at that time struggled too much.

There was no X-box controller compatability for TS when this was released, that came 3 years later. As for scenarios, at the time this was released, there was only UKtrainsim as a source and you will search in vain for any scenarios there. This tells you what the experts decided, might have been different if IHH had supported the community and not just a very few fanboys who never criticized the many glaring errors he made in his models. IHH had a similar policy to Thomson when it came to altering add-ons, so the chances of alternative wagons/locos, or other loads being developed was 0. You might also ask why DTG have never released these cranes as they own the IHH catalogue. It is simply too much work for them, both in support and in providing more than one sceanrio.
-
The changed key mapping for the IHH cranes caused many problems at the time, to the point that alternatives had to be provided. It is supposed to be possible to create a scenario with the cranes lifting, but only with locomotive/wagon used in the original scenarios, positioned in exactly the same way, and I have never seen it done. As the loco/wagon were transfer points in TS, in theory you could create other objects to be lifted, but again this has never been done that I am aware off. I don't think that there are even scenarios just pulling the cranes. There was no manual provided with the steam crane. In the end they became expensive gimmicks that people quickly tired off.
