For me it was the Eighties, Brighton Belle on the Spectrum, and the text only simulations from Deekay Systems and after that Evening Star and a couple of Ashley Greenup simulations with very simple graphics. I was quite upset when my Speccy died. Deekay also did some interesting Shed-master and Rail Traffic Control simulations as well. Then some Siam Rail Traffic Control Simulations on the Amiga. After that MSTS, then Rail Simulator which has morphed into the current TS. Been a long time since that first run on the Speccy. Edit, forgot in the noughties BVE.

I have this from Roco with sound, the sound on the film reminds me of a tractor. Hopefully the community would provide something better.

Seems I now have the same issue, although it will work with the keys, and the throttle moves in the Fischer Price Hud in time with the Hotas, but no effect until in the Z zone. Will need to have a further look, but probably not until after Wednesday.

You effectively have almost the same set up as I do. I use my thrustmaster as the throttle without any real issues, so I don't understand why you have problems, unless there is a big difference between the Hotax and the afterburner. I will check later in case an update has caused problems, I haven't driven the 111 2020 for a while.

I am using a HOTAS Thrustmaster for the throttle and a Cobra Accelerator for the brake. This works for me, although the throttle is a little clumsy. If your mini throttles only have 3 positions then you would need to configure them accordingly in the interface. This is something I have never tried, but if nobody here can help I would suggest dropping an email to the creator of the program as he would have a better idea about how to do this. The email address is at the bottom of the manual.

BHBP merges The Railways of Devon and Cornwall (RDC) and South Western Expressways to Reading (SWER).

RDC and SWE-R are two well established TS routes. RDC started with, develops and vastly extends DTG’s ‘Riviera Line’. SWE-R started with and significantly extends and develops Just Trains’ ‘South Western Expressways’.

The combined new BHBP route has well over 300 miles of main, secondary and branch lines across southern and south west England:

• 219 miles of main line from Reading to Penzance along the Berks and Hants line via Newbury, Westbury, Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth and Truro.
• 37 miles of main line from Bristol to Taunton via Cogload Junction
• 21-miles of main and secondary line from Bristol to Bath and Westbury
• 28 miles of secondary line from Exeter to Axminster
• The secondary line from Newton Abbot to Paignton, and the Paignton and Dartmouth heritage railway onwards to Kingswear
• Exeter to Exmouth branch
• The Tarka Line, including the Dartmoor Railway heritage and testing line from Coleford Junction to Meldon Quarry via Okehampton
• Plymouth to Gunnislake branch
• Liskeard to Looe branch
• The St Erth to St Ives branch

RDC and SWER used assets from a significant number of different sources, so BHBP’s required assets list is quite long. There’s no way around this for now, but the combined route offers hundreds of miles of main, secondary and branch line track, allowing lengthy, varied and totally immersive true to life scenarios.

BHBP just won’t work at all without your having: Train Simulator 2020 DTG – The Riviera Line DTG – The Riviera Line in the 50s Just Trains – South Western Expressways

It may work – but only just in some cases – without you having the routes and assets shown below. BUT there will be big gaps in the scenery and you’d have a poor user experience.

LordTulpe I wasn't aware that you had been made a moderator, people are entitled to their opinion as long as it is not malicious. You seem to be inferring that I belong to a group that always criticizes, I think if you look at my posts you will find more positive than critical. Possibly you are just having a bad day?

Indeed he does have the right to earn something from his work. To explain my point of view, I never play career scenarios, they are too arcade like, I had a real career driving trains. The installation doesn't bother me because I have many freeware routes, and having been with the sim since RS days I have pretty much all non American DLC from steam plus a few American ones. I prefer pre-saltire times so the trains aren't really a bonus to me. Which leaves the route improvements, for me personally they aren't enough alone to justify a price equivalent to a new route. We all have our own ideas of value, and having taken a big pay cut at the beginning of lockdown mine are probably now keener than they were.

It is, there is a short video on Facebook, from TrainworX I think.

My experience is that if you add AP weather to routes other than those that it is automatically applied to, you must then go into the scenario editor to activate the weather for each scenario. Unless of course the scenario was created to use the AP weather. So far I have only applied it to the Swiss metre gauge lines from Thompson/Rivet.

It will need to be less than that for me, I have the freeware route and would be looking for a much bigger improvement before I would pay that kind of money for it.

jpvdveer I'm aware that the publisher is Rivet, but they appear to be a subsidiary of DTG, and it looks like they will now follow the same path. It will be interesting to see how much extra work is put into this.

It will be a part of the freeware route with some new assets and the class 322. The route is now quite old, although parts of it have been refreshed. If it becomes a requirement for a future expanded freeware route I might buy it in a sale. Otherwise I am happy with what I have for the moment. But I think personally there is now desperation to keep the money coming for DTG with as little time invested as possible. For sure their earnings will be affected by Covid and mass job losses in the four nations (We are no longer a united kingdom) and elsewhere.
