Their ways are a tad messy, and here goes:

Then click Railworks & TS 2017 Downloads, then Freeware File Downloads.

If memory serves, you need to make a login, even for the freeware. It is worth the effort. I now use the payware. Take note the payware version of World Landscapes still need a patch, and the freeware patch does the job for both pay and freeware versions.

Very true
. Me, I'm Reichsbahning with the BR243, a different animal than the 112, still easy to drive. -
Haven't looked into details yet, but this thread also solved why my vR 103 Vrot was overtemping all the time. Could not remember my first Steam version (TEE) being like that. In another Aufgabe I replaced the coaches with vR's, now all is good, I can again drive relatively hard without popping the main breaker all the time

. -
So it seems. I found out by testing the vR IC consist in a quickdrive. My IR coaches are 3DZug I believe, and I don't want to purchase vR's IR coaches as well.
-
Solved it by using two 101's for my twelve coaches, got 197 km/h at 180kN.
-
Gsonz,
I also have to do some digging, like checking my amount of Coaches, then see if there is a difference between my two BR101 packages.
-
Correct, but after that, max 180 on LZB, maybe 190 if I'm lucky. Guess this is Munster-Bremen related only?
-
With the 101, I need to move the loco brake (which brakes only the loco) before setting off. The 101 also still have the problem it can*t reach LZB speed of 200 (at least in Munster-Bremen). Here I am speaking of the pure vR locos, but I believe the Steam version is the same. In real-life, no loco would have this suspectible behaviour.

One thing is for shure, now I will reinstall all vR BR218 related stuff in German, hope I later can Anglify it

Thanks for the reminder, now it works. And your English is excellent.
I was about to try this (but got busy with Dresden-Scona and forgot everyting else). Well, knowing Germans (I'm a half German myself), I should have kept in mind English is not their no.1 virtue from experience all of my life (now running into my bunker)

PS; Ulf... hope you can fix this?

-
Tilmann,
This is not your problem at all, and I still understand your Englisj

Your Aufgabe has been working perfect for a long time, and I am still enjoying it, also as a good and detailed base for developing my own stuff. What to test for me is simply to leave the BR218 as it is, then delete the Steuerwagen, and then it will work, I'll test this tomorrow I hope. I say again... your Aufgabe is NOT the problem here. vR, TS or Windows is the problem, or all of them. Me, I'm totally innocent of course
. I'll have a close look at the xml's later, for both the BR110 Stw and BR218 Stw, but hope is going down the drain, but I will not be crying about it! -
Most of you do not have this problem. According to Ulf, me and another guy. It's funny all other vR stuff (I soon have their complete expert line catalogue) works fine, but the BR218 and Stw not, nor the BlBe repaint. My Tilmann scenery worked fine with (I think) BR218 (standalone) v4, but v6 gave the same problems as the BR218 + Stw package. I simply do not want to twist my head more about this, other than saying I suspect it is a scripting/xml problem, where there is a comma instead of a ".", or a missing space (a space in a xml is a value). Have solved such many times regarding P3D scenery development, but not quite ready to take those headaches to TS. After all I have working BR218's - as long as I don't use Stw's. I'm always using 64bit TS by the way.

My 218 plus Stw haven't been working since day one. No startup, no smoke, no ZWS. This said after reinstalling TS three times to try to fix "something". All other (older) vR with Stw works. Now I'm on v6 of the BR218 alone, and it suddenly does not work in an aufgabe that worked fine before (Tilmann's RE3053 from Lubeck, which uses a Stw). It seems (for a few of us) the 218 can't swallow Steuerwagens, so I'm currently using vR's BR112 instead. Been in contact with Ulf about this, but there seem to be no solution.

I am a "newbie" at decoders, but after planning for about 40 years, I decided to get rid of H0 scale and go fully N scale. But not before I saw perfect couplings between cars, locos (Fleischmann Profi), plus I could get it all DCC. I now have a 2,40m x 1m layout where I mostly have the theme "diesel". With all those soundloks of course. No sound - no buy.
There is only one loco eating up my DCC decoders, Fleischmann's RC2. That is because the original construction is hopeless anyway, prone to short-circuiting already before the DCC decoder is in. The construction is electrically hopeless and should be recycled and reset ASAP. And you cannot digitalize something that is more or less broken from day one.
Bottom line, I think quite a few locos were made "digital" way before they were ready for it. Of course they burn DCC decoders when the solderings of the print make contact with the bogies in sharp curves, and so on...
