Slightly off-topic, but at the same time very on-topic: I lost the sound with TS2020, needed to restart the PC for each new Aufgabe. The OpenAL files delivered with TS2020 are "geriatric". Download from here (backup your old files first), then overwrite. Of course I don't know if this fixes the 146, just my fice cents.

Zurich-Olten made me reistall SBB Route 1, and it ain't bad. Recently drove the "Double Header" Aufgabe. That involved a bit of work: I had to edit and turn the train before connecting to it. At the end station, dispatcher told me to do something to the loco, but I drove the complete double header back to the station, then to the last station. I was approved, believe it or not. Of course I also had to reduce colour saturation and correct the tunnel on my screenie

Great upgrade, have spent a few hours driving till now. I also liked the two Aufgaben, and the RSSLO Talent I purchased for those, was a pleasant surprise. I can also mention the upgrade works well with the Brenner download from RSSLO. It should, as the content folder is the same for both Steam and RSSLO.

I hope for better fps in the London area, so I can use the fine Aerosoft scenery for Heatrow. Plus improved AI from AIG via AI Manager - may finally have me flying there. Currently on P3D 4.5, pretty default, only spotting AI traffic. Spending most of my time with TS

I dont`t expect the 218 to be compatible with older stuff, just wondered why the v5 worked, but not v6. Could seem to be a programming hiccup though. Well, I will be fault tracing at work for the next four weeks, no TS involved. When home, I will simply use the complete Br218/stw package in my Aufgabe.

Sorry Ulf, I was talking about an old Aufgabe where your complete trainset is not involved. It is the latest BR 218 v6, but the coaches are older vR material.

Kim, not my intention to hijack anything. Have me excused for being so focused now and then that I forget everthing else around me. I'll try to focus on the original question from now on.
I have a theory you have a "phantom signal". Like an input from a not so well centered joystick (and I don't know if TS "feels" joysticks), but I have had phantom signals that way in flight sims. OK if TS never "sees" a joystick, I would try to replace the keyboard. And OK, if this only happens with your 101 and no other locos, it's saying in context I'm wrong. Try it anyway, maybe some locos are more sensitive than others regarding uncentered joysticks, bad keyboards, etc. At least this is what I would try (and I have solved some crazy problems like this, thinking outside the box).

OK just guesswork from me here (and I hate to guess). My recent problem is that I use an Aufgabe (old one) where the BR218 is invoved, plus an OLD vR Steuerwagen. This used to work with the BR218 v1, v2 and so on. Then the BR218 plus Stw was available, I purchased, and after that, there was no more communication between the loco and the Stw. Problems also arised with the BR218 itself. So my thoughts is both the loco and Stw is faulty.

My BR218 with Stw did not work from day one. Kudos to Ulf who tried to solve this, but not yet solved. My problem is (or was) I always install English. Up to the BR 218, all other vR worked fine. Not so anymore. I have installed now to and back BR 218 in German and English till Kingdom Come, and it is still not working. My advice would be to hold back until Ulf (as he has admitted here) will fix what remaining problems.

. PS: I tried to search to death for this problem, but it is not easy speaking English in a German forum. I sort of don't find things on the double searching or googling. I was, like the original poster, also going to ask about this... but felt I would be slammed by something like "use the search function". That IS a valid answer mostly, but not always.
