I know this might sound like a very strange request but could you please include a totally invisible diesel loco. I am finding that invisible locos are very good to have when building scenarios.

I love this map.
I wish the freeware routes could have another colour though. They are very hard to spot because they have the same colours as the motorways.
The Torino Bardonecchia freeware route was recently expanded with all the rail roads leading into Torino. It is now called SFM Torino.

Good to know if i am getting other italian routes.
But that allso means that an updated version will slam the brakes all the time on the SFM Torino routes.
So please make the two versions able co-exist on the same TS installation. Otherwise people like me wont be able to run it on this route. And that would be a shame i think.
For SFM Torino the old version can be used.
For other routes v2 of the loco can be used.Just a suggestion ofcourse.
(The very best thing would ofcourse be fir Codadeltreno to update the signals on the route with the correct codes. I don’t know how well people work together in the Italian TS community or if you are even in contact with the developer of the route....)

A plea from me. Please don’t make the scripting any stricter. That would mean that i can’t run this on the SFM Torino. That route is the only Italian route that is easy for non italian speaking to install. All other routes require searching around italian language forums for assets.
Make the script more correct, but not so strict that the emergency brakes will set in because of compatibility issues.

My first Italian REAL DRIVE scenario. Asti - Torino
A Train Simulator REAL DRIVE scenario is an advanced version of a Quick Drive. Real Drive scenarios have random generated red signals as opposed to a Quick Drive where you have green signals all the way. The random programming makes sure that the scenario is never the same twice. In fact this Real Drive have over a thousand different permutations.
The route is a branch of the SFM Torino route (built be CodaDelTreno). The locomotive is the FS E464 (model built by Worcester George).
I am driving with the full Italian train protection sequrity system SCMT switched on.
@Coda di Lupo See, i thnk i got it. The first SCMT happening is at 4:45. And then there is the entrance to Torini Porte Nova which was quite difficult at first but no problems now.
@Worcester Thanks for the great locomotive. I think i am getting confident driving it now. Hi @Thaddäus The DTG version has a problem (probably wrong signal links) that makes almost all AI traffic between Martinswand and Reiht impossible. Would be fantastic if that was corrected.
-
Thanks @Coda di Lupo
Just let me know when my questions get too much.
What is the correct thing to do when i enter a “coda abscense”? Shall i push RIC to acknowledge?

Hi there. Grazie Mille for that very good explanation. I think, combined with what others have writteN that i’ve got much of it. I am also getting better with SMTC. I can mostly go without getting forced braking now. There is a couple of things on the SRC display i don’t know the meaning of yet:
1: What does the white AC square mean?
2: What does the yellow RV square mean? Also i would line to ask if it is right that on downwards gradients steeper than 0.12 the LV can’t hold the speed down even if the LCA is put to full throttle?
Agree, the WG Fs E464 is great and above the quality of much payware and it is much fun to master.

- funktioniert es eventuell wenn die befahrenden Gleise im Bahnhof getauscht werden?
This is the solution.
-
Meanwhile DTG has fixed the problem that suddenly was affecting a lot of users today.
So if you were only hit with the OOM crash starting this afternoon, TS now works again.
-
Are you sure your choice of locomotive matches the route. If it is a quick drive where some of it is not eletrified you cannot yse an e-lok etc etc....
-
Yes. It was wirking for me 5 hours ago, but now crashes on startup.
DTG has just tweeted that they are looking into it.
-
-
Grazie:-) Got it now.
If i need to bring the train to a full stop what would be the correct action?
Set the LCA to 0kn and use the regular train brake?
And one more question? Does the train have SIFA?
I use ctrl-x to bypass the startup procedure but it does not seem to be on by default. -
Hi @Worcester. I love running this loc on the Torino Bardonecchia route. Thanks for this great free loco.
I am having difficulties getting the AFB to work. Probably because the google translation of the manual from Italian to English is not great.
So i hope it is ok for me to ask:
How do i turn AFB on?
What key commands are used to control the AFB speed? -
No need for being angry at me when i respond to people wanting to know what is new.
What i am saying is that anybody who wants to know what is new, can download the .rar file from the link i posted, unpack it, then read the readme file. The new features are described in the readme files.
I have already written what is the important new feature for me.
-
Most important new feature for me is this:
It is now possible to enable several QD AI consists to a route with one click. In the old version you had to do this one by one.
I just enabled ALL the QD consists in the 3dzug verkehrspack preload folder to a route with ONE click! Can’t remember how many that is but it is like 90 consists enabled for a route in one click.
This will save me days of work.
