Norweger All cool. We all have our little things that we are a bit OCD about. So i do understand.

My take. After all a simulation game is just make-believe. So i can live with my eyes being tricked.
After all, if we can read this:
1n73llig3nc3 15 7h3 4b1l17y 70 4d4p7 70 ch4ng3
Then our brain can say MAERSK when we read MAERS.

BlackyTrains Genau. I didn’t experience the input fps surpass the generated fps at any point though. Here they were exactly the double most of the time.
-
Copyright. You can’t just commercially use another brand.

Giving it a try
Well ok. Consider my mind blown!!!!
Capped at 30fps, 60fps generated. Supersmooth is not hyperbole. I can’t imagine ever running TSC without it.
Driving out of München Hbf with 60fps
-
Most important to me is if it’s easily de-activated or even de-installed without touching my TSC installation.

I see a couple left laughing smilies an my “autobuy” comment. Why on earth…..
It’s getting thin with new german payware routes, and it IS autobuy for me. The time may come when they dry out alltogether.

Autobuy for me.

Norweger Go into the world editor and remove the magnets that are faulty. That’s what i do.

Bis irgendein anderer Sim das Level erreicht, vergehen noch Jahre.
Absolutely agree. Aber ich wollen nicht nur Jahre, sondern Jahre und Jahre und immer mehr Jahre.

You can call it what you will, but the article says it will be too costly to develop TSC further than the occasional bugfixes.
And a product that stands still is a product that is on the decline.
It’s like saying the invention of the telegraph was sufficient for communication so really it could have stopped there.
All the “unleashing the power of TSC” talk came to absolute nothing! The boost the game needed to attract developers and new costumers is gone, and in the long run we will feel the impact of this in a negative way.
We wont be able to have even more realistic engine scripts without fps hits. The dispatcher will never be improved. We wont be able to have better graphics without huge fps hits. We wont be able to have more thorough signal scripts handling bigger loads without fps hits. We wont have better scenery loading distances, or better distant terrain like any other simulation game has. We can’t have even more realistic vegetation with full LOD because shadow rendering will choke fps. Etc etc etc….

Quelle is the latest developer update from DTG as posted on their homepage. All the things that would really have made a difference performance wise has been deemed too expensive.
Look up the section about multicore support yourself. It’s the section headed Performance Improvements. Read thoroughly! You will find that everything that really would have made a difference has been given up.
Dows TSC need them. Yes, because those things would have allowed a broader userbase to run it on good settings. More userbase = longer lifespan for TSC.
Add to that developers has a need to evolve, and make money, and the limitations of TSC performance and development is a limiting factor.
-
All good. Unfortunately, the things that would have mattered in regards to futureproofing tsc are off the table. .
All multicore developement has been canceled.
-
I can hardly wait to try the route. Thanks for all the work you’ve put into it!!!
-
There was an optic upgrade for the original route a couple of years ago. How about incorporating all the scenery of that into your bahntechniches neübau?
-
Setting a missing e-sig where it belongs is not likely to break any scenarios though.

I haven’t had issues with my Real Drives and the latest version. Meaning the spawning of trains in the path of the player train works as expected, and with the probability of spawning given. But i haven’t tested all of them. Yet.
Be aware that TS has a bug in spawning. Best illustrated by following example;
You have two qd consist tagged nuclear. One with a loco in front, and one that is just wagons. If you try to spawn this, you will only get a train spawning 50% of the time when setting the probability to 100%.
The scenery appearing late bug. PLEASE report this to DTG.

Always backup. Always backup. Always backup.
I’ve had people argue against this both here, and on the DTG forum, and ofcourse anyone can do what they want. But threads like this bring home that not having a backup is risky business.

CuzImMaximus Are you sure you can edit qd ai consists with locoswap? AI traffic in quick drives is not like standard scenarios.
