Zinnia They do look really good. Even if we only get KI versions, it will be an enrichment to to few good Swiss routes that there we do have.

StefanDD Ahhh i thought you meant that it was complex to drive with it. But you meant the complexity of the code. My bad.
-
StefanDD Lots of TSC locos have correct PZB implementation. I don’t get why it’s “too complicated”.

Good to know this project lives

Oh wow.

Slightly ot. The Zugsicherung is the close to most important thing for me. When it works as expected, i get a feeling of wellbeing. There is a kind of symbiosis and peace. PZB is actually a very intuitive. Or at least it is to me.
However when it behaves strange it is discomforting to me. And that means i’ll never use the loco again. Same thing with the signalisation and pzb magnete. Nothing more annoying than getting zwangsed out of the the blue for the wrong reasons.
For those who don’t quite grasp how PZB works, and all it’s (not so difficult) nuances, and for all those that choose to drive without it, i can understand how it wont matter. And we all want something different from dear old TSC. But a wrongly placed tree is not part of the core of what a train simulator is. But signals and trainprotectionsystems certainly are.

Eltern und ihre Kinder soll mit ihre E-Zug offensichtlich hier nicht weiterfahren…
(Taken today close to Bad Fallingbostel)

You shouldn’t by chance have the latest beta of tsc installed? This is a known bug of that beta.

Well I guess hope is eternal…..

Kein spekulation: DTG has cancelled it’s remaining route project. This comes from DTGs forum user Atomic Denny (who works for DTG) and was posted two days ago.
Quote:
“I mean i'd love to say but I'm restricted because of NDAs etc (nothing that hasn't been announced, i mean i can't even mention what the last route would have been, I mean people would have been happy if it were done (ok except those select few :P), but sadly not up to me. (i mean i probably shouldn't have mentioned the "cancelled route" but still i haven't revealed anything from it
)“ -
If 100 members here would pay 50$….you can do the calculation. You could even run it as a fundraiser.

I’ve been thinking about some of the issues you bring up. Now i am just going to suggest something. You are very welcome to shoot it down right away, i am just thinking out loud here…
I think if we did set up a kind of system where only assets from easily available sources were used. And not too many of them. A kind of pool of payware plus a bit of freeware (perhaps even freeware that the freeware-developers would allow distribution off) that were to be used in future route projects. Plus ofcourse costum made assets made for a route.
If route builders could tone down on ultra realism, and keep the asset situation simple, preferably using only a list of payware available on steam, then more would be willing to pay.
I know i would!!! Also for prices higher than what is the usual route price.
The thing about keeping the asset situation simple is necesary because if i bought a route i would not be accepting milkbottles and missing textures from obscure (or closed down) webpages. Also remember that it if you take money for a route, you will have to offer support, and in that regard making the asset situation simple, will simplify support and have less people demand a refund.
What would i be willing to pay…good question. 50€ would be my max i think.
Again, just thinking out loud. Doesn’t have to be ultra-realistic. Simple asset situation. You have my money.

I would still very much hear Matthias answer, because both of us are making assumptions.

While i understand what tom87 says, i think we also should appreciate what dillemas there are in this. Take H-HH. There is a version 3, but a version 4 is already in public beta over at Railworks Austria. So what version should 3dzug make scenarios for?
Also take in account that 3dzug very like have sales outside the users of this forum, including sales to new users. If only users who post here bought their products, i doubt there would be much of a business. So in effect it would mean that the included scenarios will only work for very experienced users who like to hunt down assets.
After all it’s only 4 scenarios. There are so many skilled scenariobuilders in this community, so there will be a steady flow for whatever deluxe versions there are. And if you want to use your new train in an older scenario, there’s always locoswap.
I think it would be enlightening to hear matthias.gose thoughts on this.

The most important thing in regards to signals (apart from them showing the aspects) is that the aspects can actually be seen. I am in 100% agreement with BR-218

tom87 Thanks for the Matt quote. 👍

As far as i understand: Sifa is gone and ETCS redone so it is not like ETCS in real life. Different screen etc…
-
I can live without full start procedures. I never play with start procedures actually. But i would never enjoy TSC without realistic pzb and sifa. Removing those would be the death of it, and several thousand € burned, for me.

I wonder if the two SBB addons i bought from Steam (the Gothard Bahn and the Lake Constance route) will be downgraded the next time i connect my TSC pc to the internet….
The ZUB on these wasn’t good anyway. No braking curve or Frei Taste implemented, but still i would never use those again if it happened.
