8Gb DDR4 Memory
128 GB SSD + 1TB HDD.That is way below minimum requirements for ts64bit.

Cache lieren und danach automatisch ts64bit starten funktioniert nichts. DTG-Steve hat mich dies angeschreiben:
“
Hi Kim,The restart is an unfortunate limitation of Steam. We are looking at other ways of doing the restart function but, for the time being, when the software asks you to restart, select no and then exit and restart manually.
Best, Steve“

Just got a reply drom dtg-Steve regarding clear cache in the 64bit version. Currently not possible to start up directly in 64bit after clear cache.
Lösung: Clear Cache. Restart nein taste drucken.
Ts selbst beenden und dann manual ts64 auf neu starten.

When i clear the cache in the 64 bit version the 32 bit version starts up on relaunch. Is there any way to make ts start in 64 bits after clearing cache?
-
Ich wundere mich. Warum octacore als empfelend cpu? TS nutzt noch höchtens 2 cores.
Hat etwas hier geändert?
Reelle multicore support?

I can already say now that something in the way the dispatcher works has been changed. I am seeing changed behaviour in my Real Drives that are based on Quick Drives.
-
Over at the Steam forum DTG Luke stated that developers who use their own piracy protection (A developer who was blaming the LUA SCRIPT was mentioned) had problems with ts19.
-
Und hier will ich dumm fragen. DEM, was ist das eigentlich?
-
@MCGermanyFan ts2019 32 bits is still a new version. It can still have bugs that are showstoppers.
20 years in music production has taught me to always have the old version of a program backed up if a new version breaks something you rely on.
You don’t want to back up ts 2018? Fine by me ofcourse. I am backing mine up right at this moment.
-
@Matthias J.
The reason for the backup is not the content but to keep ts 2018 so you can play that if ts 2019 has some showstopping bugs. -
Don’t forget to backup! That included the ts2018 exe.

Coming from the world of audio i must say that i always knew that TS ccould be made into 64 bit without content having to be coded anew. Content is no different from audio and midi files. It is what the core program that determines how much content that can be put into the “session”. All those programs have gone from 16bit to 32bit and to 64bit without any content being unusable.
If people chose to believe “it can not be done” just because a program developer would rather not do it (and not tell the truth about it) then it has been a case of naivity. Sorry, aber das ist die Warheit.
It is good that DTG had a change of mind, but not good that they chose to be less than truthful about if it could be done. It can be done and they have ofcourse known it all along.

1; I think TS and TSW can co excist without problems. The are for different audiences mostly.
2; yes some of the temp dumps will go away with the 64bit version. But they happen for other reasons than just ram being maxed out. So we might still get temp dumps. Just not as often.

As long as they do not break any functions i will be happy.
-
As a musician with much midi gear i must definately try this.
-
What version is the Steam version?
-
Great. Two lines i have yet to buy are coming to steam.
Basel Freiburg and S Bahn Rhein Main.
Autobuy

It is a bug in the TS code. Nothing you can do. I’ve encountered it many times when making real drives. Things that shouldn’t matter (like your problem here) can crash TS when they shouldn’t. Annoying. And hopefully one of the bugs that are fixed in TS 19.
