It is easy to fall into the trap of critisizing a content provider like Aerosoft for making content that pushes the limits. But really we should also be thankful because it is sometimes content that pushes the limits that makes developers (DTG) work on their product in order to make it work and take advantage of what current computers are capeable of.

Agree but only partly. I expect things like magnet/signals to be roughly correct. Having a zwangsbremsung when i am driving the train correctly really really annoys me. I can easily live with the route not being photographically correct, but signal errors is faulty gameplay and ought to be corrected with a patch from DTG.

Agree with Berliner079. I understand the frustration of the developers of the route, but if it borders on the ram limitation of the 32bit version many will get dumps when playing it in TS18. Better give people a good start with the route by waiting for TS19 and have no dumps.

Anyway Freiburg Basel is autobuy for me, i don’t mind waiting for it.

Wie haben sie Romänisches signalierung gelernt? Gibts eine gute stelle auf det net? Gern in Englisch.

Will the steam version have the same route id as the “regular” download version. I am asking because i am hoping to do a Real Drive pack for the route and if there are several route ids it will complicate things quite a bit.

I will report back. If it works it would be great for anyone working in quick drive scenarios.

Will this upgrade work on the version bought from Steam?

@stuch17 Gute frage. I’ve only been playing TS for three months so I did not really know about these upgrade patches till after i did the Real Drives.

@StS so if i understand you correctly the upgrade patches wont change the route id but enhance things such as the signalling, vegetation etc...It might be a good thing if i find a betatester that have installed upgrades.

There is another consideration too ofcourse. I want the Real Drives to work on the standard versions first and foremost. Because, realistically, how many people worldwide are playing an upgraded version versus how many are playing the standard version?

So if i start with building a Real Drive with an upgraded version i am leaving all those out who is happy with the version they have, or afraid to upgrade, don’t know how etc...

A question for those who have upgraded: Does standard scenarios usually get broken by upgrades? Does Quick Drives get broken by upgrades.

And yet a question; Does anybody with an upgrade of either München Rosenheim, München Garmisch and Mittenwaldbahn (dtg) want to betatest? Please send me a PM then.

I have already done a REAL DRIVE (read about them in the projecte - szenarien part of the forum. Will they be broken if i install this upgrade?
