Traxxes can now work in dual mode.
Is the video still in 360p due to YouTube or did you forget to do smth?
I'm really excited about the train. I just can't wait anymore.
Hi, excellent indeed, a must have for me as this loco is often seen on the track close to my house. Any idea if we're getting closer to the release? And are you planning to release any Czech routes too? There's plenty of them available but it's sometimes hard to gather all the assets required. Would be nice to have one as a complete pack even if it's payware...
Looks very good.
Two things I noticed:
The dashboard in the middle will display the forces up to 600kN (a little bit hard to see in pic 1), and the voltage on the left display will be shown for both locos individually (pic 2).
Maybe it is different for the software/country you are replicating in the sim.
@TheZui what you are showing is loco with different software. Versions used in Czech Republic display forces only up to 300kN. Voltages should be shown for both locos if used in dual mode, but I have some problems with node count in cabin, so this is "nice to have" functionality, which can be done after every other more important things are done. But thanks for noticing!
A little peek of how the ETCS should look. Some basic functions now at least seem to work properly, but there is still a lot of work on it!
Hi guys! In this video you can see some of basic functionalities of ETCS on my model.
At first, you can see how to put all data into train memory, confirm them, select ETCS level and then perform SoM (Start of mission). After SoM, ETCS is put from Standby mode to Staff responsible mode, in this mode, you can depart from the station. After the train passes by last junctions, ETCS will ask driver to confirm TAF (Track ahead free?), after this, it will switch to FS (Full supervision). In the video, TAF is asked a bit earlier - because not all routes in TS have implemented ETCS, it can also require TAF after a certain distance from start (this distance will probably be made longer, now it is set to 450 metres). When driving in FS, right from speedometer is the planning area - in this area, you can see distances of coming speed restrictions and a yellow line, which signs a point from where ETCS start to compute braking curve. Braking curves will depend on data you put in ETCS - train length, max speed and braking percents. It is a bit buggy by now, you can see some graphic glitches going on which I will hopefully get rid of. Around a middle of video you can see transition from ETCS L2 to L1. When doing transition to lower levels, driver has to confirm the transition otherwise ETCS will apply emergency brake when passing by LT (level transition) signal.
Everything you can see in the video is still WiP, I will be glad if you notice any mistakes or irregularities and tell me. The model also accepts messages from markers made by ChrisTrains.
Also I am working on a small pack of track signals for ETCS which will be available for free for any other route makers for implementing in their routes. When I have it completed, I will post it here in download sections.
I hope you will like it!
Video is here!
EDIT: Transition from L2 to L1 is not required to be confirmed, only transition from higher levels to L0 or LSTM, I will correct that.
I don't know the brake leaver settings correctly, but I think it was

How is it controlled? Could SB have a combined input?
As in some locomotives (like the TGV), it's pretty annoying to get into the emergency brake and make a full stop, just because the brake leaver is annoying to use.
It is controlled same as in other models to maintain the controlling concept, however if you get in EB, you can just put it back and release the brakes.
Some models frow RWA for example have Ctrl or Shift + Ö for the EB. But if you can release, it shouldn't be such a big problem.
