    Hello Hallenser

Ok then, I was beginning to wonder what could go wrong with latest update :) :) Thanks for feedback.

Btw, it´s not only 3kV= locos, but also pure 25kV~ locos. The only difference are two- or multi-system machines.

According to previous post - I would be glad if any of you, dear customers, can share your FPS with my loco. I wonder how it is doing on other computers or notebooks, perhaps compared to other locos. My finding could not be purely objective as an author. Thank you.

    Hallenser :

In fact it depends on loco type. Pure DC or pure AC locomotives can switch the Main Switch on BEFORE raising pantographs. Moreover, you can´t do it other way, because electric layout do not allow you to raise pantos before you set Main Switch ON. Logically, if you switch OFF main Switch, any raised panto will be lowered. Bear in mind that these locos comes from 80´, when nobody has expected a train driver to be so dumb to raise pantos on one-system loco under different system that could damage it :) Some basic common inteligence has been predicted :)

On contrary, two-system locos (AC-DC) must raise pantos first - to detect type of current in catenary first and only after than you´re allowed to switch corresponding Main Switch.

About those neutral sections - when it comes to my E499.3, normal procedure should be to cut off any power the loco is taking from catenary, either it is traction force or EDB by setting "POMERNY TAH" (relative force) to zero. Then you can lower pantos with pantoswitch by setting it to 0, without switching Main Switch off. After passing you just raise pantos, wait for Ameter showing catenary voltage value and further proceed normally. If you lower your pantos while loco is still making any traction or electrodynamic braking force, you´ll end up with main switch of due to undervoltage protection.

Btw, this remainds me that I should translate some loco messages to english for foreign customers like yourself to understand what is happening with the loco itself in case some non-standard situation arise. Maybe in the next update :)

Thanks for your feedback, but I never noticed any significant FPS drop with my loco. I´ve tested it intensively, and compared to, say, Vectron from K-Trains it shines in FPS. Of course, due to extensive advanced scripting some FPS drops are present, but nothing heavy. Also I have compared it to few others from vR, RSSLO, even with DTG locos and haven´t noticed any big difference. Is everything ok on your side? Also depends on the route you play my loco on - it is well known that some czech routes are very expensive, when it comes to CPU power and require a decent machine to play it smoothly. If I may, I suggest to play ŽSR 150 from Simon Stehlík&Co or some parts of Podkrušnohorská Magistrála from Jirka Mrázek. Btw, E499.3009 was tested on these routes respectively.

For example, I play TSC on my notebook, that has Ryzen 7 5800H 3,2GHz, nVidia RTX 3060, 16GB RAM, Windows 10 Home and have on Jirka Mrazek´s routes cca. 40FPS. In TestovaciTrat I have almost 60FPS. Rain or snow does not make any difference, but of course, night setting do, especially when in stations with many lamps.

It is done. Without mapping and texturing so far.

This corresponds to one side only. Second bogie has differernt speed sensor (for german PZB, the one on the picture is for Hasler), so it will be modelled next. Mapping and texturing right after.

Btw, if I may ask - could admin move all 372 corresponding posts to a new different thread? It has nothing to do with ČSD E499.3. Thanks.

German customers like it when they are taken care of very quickly when problems arise. Or as they say colloquially, smearing honey around your mouth :)

In this case it has nothing to do with german customers in particular - those PZB sensors were fitted with both czechoslovak (later czech) and german version, so it has to be modelled for both variants. Even if I would not have been making a german version, I would model them, too.

But yes, you´re right - I have german customers in mind :)

Nice to see PZB being implemented into the locomotive, that's definitely a good argument for the payware version.

Those who know me as an author are aware that I would script it even for a freeware :) It belongs to that locomotive, so it should be a part of it.

Sorry, but 35€ without VAT?? So with VAT included, how much does it cost? 40€? Just because it has some dimensions measured on real machine? I myself did my E499.3 according to real blueprints I got direclty from SKODA factory, so the result is the same. The rest is about the scripting itself. In my opinion, it´s too much for one loco, even if it would shine above all the rest.

But hey, maybe it´s just me.

DennyW well, it´s hard to compare those two. Mainly because of power transfer. E499.3 is pure electric loco, all regulation processes are very quick. On the other hand, 750.7 is dieselelectric loco, and diesel engine does not react so fast, it has a big inertia. So in case of any change the control system in 750.7 start to regulate, it usually overreact down or up. It if very hard to achieve the same regulation like in, say, electric locos, so it reacts with forward heap. In other words - it´s lazy.

But thanks anyway, glad you like that.

Just a little bit of detailing. For comparsion - blue objects are currently used in ČSD E499.3009, yellow ones will be used in ČSD 372.

I hope players will be satisfied. Of course, one can still make it even more detailed, but I guess from some point it does not make sense anymore, because of Train Simulator engine itself. If it would be for TSW, sure, why not.

Peter749 Well, it depends. Current model represents ČSD era (former Czechoslovak National Railroads), so my answer is no. Moreover, the cab itself does not match to later reconstructions due to different radiostation, vigilance and cab signalling system, etc. During the planning everything has been pointed to ČSD era.

There are only few exemplares running with this "old" cab and those belong to ČD Cargo and have that "new" numbering 163 XXX-X. A friend of mine will make some repaints with such numbering, but i can´t tell the exact date of releasing. As of me, I won´t make any.

There is a chance I will modify the cab itself to a modern one for ZSSK locos (today´s Slovak Railroads) including MIREL vigilance and signalling system and those will have that new numbering, too. But again, I do not know when, since now I´m focused on ČSD 372 / DR230.

I am no longer on the DTG forums because the lack of moderation makes it a very toxic place, I was accused of things I have never done without moderation intervention, I don't want to discuss this any further though. This is Rail-Sim.de.

Don´t worry, neither I don´t wanna discuss that matter. I was just curious if it´s you or somebody else with the same nick, nothing else.

Of course, you can try translate tooltips. In case of any misunderstanding I can help. As I wrote earlier, I´ve never imagined I will have any foreign customers except czech players, so I haven´t bothered with manual in english.

    Gerade gekauft :)

Ich hoffe das slowakische Manual lässt sich gut per Online Translator übersetzen, da es kein englisches Handbuch gibt.

I guess that video above will help a lot, at least with startup... And I suggest chatGPT for translations, they are more precise. Btw, are you that Spikee1975 from DTG forums??

I like to take the time to be able to communicate. I can speak some languages quite well, but not perfectly. I still have a question regarding the CSD E499. Where can I find the user manual once it is installed? kiski

Well, unfortunately, the manual is in slovak language only. To be honest, I never imagined that you, fellow german railroaders will buy it - why would you, such loco never run in Germany. Even so it is in ČSD livery. I´m glad you did, though :)

I have made a video tutorial for startup procedure not long time ago, maybe it will help. Here´s the link:
