Yes, he originally was just going to upgrade the freeware model. But it was so much work that it has ended up as pay-ware. Many dimensions in the freeware model are incorrect, if you put them next to each other in the game you will see this.

Although they were a often called the ugliest Steam lok ever, I always thought that they had a special character that made up for their looks. They had many nicknames Austerities, Biscuit Tins, Biscuit barrel, Charlies, Clockwork, Coffee Pots, Frankensteins, Ugly Duckings & Dustbins were the polite ones. They were extremely successful and very powerful for their size. Video here

Another provider of add-ons, known by some here but not I suspect all, is Fastline simulation http://testing.fastline-simulation.co.uk/ . Producers mainly so far of wagon packs, which are very comprehensive and will include all known variants of a particular type of wagon, plus at least 1 but maybe 4 scenarios. They also produce a scenario pack for the east coast mainline, it needs a lot of payware as it tries to be as prototypical as possible. In particular needs a lot of IHH stock, but as DTG release the upgraded models, it should be possible to use these through RW tools. Stock packs cost £3 and the scenario pack £5.
-
The Powerhaul version is the one that is least used in freeware scenarios
-
As it says above this pack has now been updated to Pro standards, you should re-download from your account. Note that the file name will not show Pro, but it will be so.

@Baw326 If I remember correctly this is not a big problem as it is only the narrow gauge assets that are used to represent the miniature railway at Arbroath. The route should work fine without them, you will just have a few milk bottles on the approach to Arbroath from the south. You may also need to use F2 save and resume to get the scenarios to run, unless you are confident in RWtools to delete the narrow gauge stock.

http://www.trainsimdev.com/forum/index.php good source of downloads for the UKTS freeware packs, forum is invite only, but downloads are free.

The class 27 has less power than the 33 and for most of their lives worked in Scotland. In their first few years some worked in England, but not for long. The class 33 worked mostly in the south of England and at times south west England. I often travelled on the class 27 before I was a driver, they were very bouncy, but comfortable locos.

Ludmillafan There is a temporary shop page here. They are re-building the site at the moment http://www.makingtracks-online…4&Itemid=126&limitstart=2 Ignore the text about Microsoft Train Simulator, they have forgotten to change it for these products

New from Steam Sounds Supreme a free upgrade of the DTG West Somerset Railway. This installs as a separate route and has many corrections to the original, which of course is also needed.
http://www.steamsoundssupreme.com/ For those who don't know SST, they make high quality steam sound pack add-ons, often with improved performance and re-skins. They also produce a couple of wagon packs and now they are starting to produce scenario packs also. They will produce a wagon pack and a scenario pack especially for this upgrade. There is also a very special lok included, you should read the manual for more information on this. -
This lok has now been updated, to get the update download the add-on again from your account

http://www.makingtracks-online…category_id=13&Itemid=122 Making Tracks, primarily known for their very complete MSTS add-ons they have two Railworks coach packs. LMS Stanier Period 3 Coaches, and GWR Collett coaches. Nice models, but you need the Steam Sound Supreme Coach sound pack, because the sounds are poor. These were the first two packs produced by the man who opened Matrix trains, before he started his own brand and site. Coach packs include original livery and two later BR liveries.

The North Linsey Line which has now grown into the North Lincolnshire is available direct from the authors site here http://www.lincs-train-sim.co.uk/ there is also a lot of information about the route here. This is an alternative to UKtrainsim and will be more up to date.
Another useful site is Carinthia's here http://carinthia.sftt.co.uk/downloads.php quite a few scenarios for different routes, mainly steam, and an updated version of Bath-Templecombe. This corrects the track but does not change the scenery. -
Nice add-on, not perfect, but very good, I was very familiar with these locos, in real life they were not the most comfortable or warm of locos and they had their faults, but they were very versatile. Good value.
-
Nice functionality and nice wagons to go with it. Some errors around the windscreen, but still a very nice add-on,
-
Nice upgrade and for me worth every penny.

@ Tyrell I did not intend to cause offence, in my eyes Zaunpfahl had already made a statement about the topic to the other posters. Whilst I am happy to help where I can, I do not want to have a discussion about the politics of UKTS, it would not be welcome there, just as it would not be welcome here if UKTS were to discuss the politics of this site.To all readers when I say off topic it is not an admonishment it is an acknowledgement to the moderators that I am briefly departing from the topic of the thread. Please be aware when reading this thread that although our cultures use language in a similar way, there are also some important differences that can cause misunderstandings.

It's off topic because the thread is really intended to be about about British add-ons, not UKTS. But if you wish to gain access it is a little different, have you e-mailed their admin about the problem, or are you already a registered free user? in which case you could PM the admin on the forum.
