    Indeed, a couple of months ago I upgraded to 1TB for my TS drive, but I have a clean copy on that drive as well. I think it will be a bigger problem with the unreal version when it comes.
    Posted on UKTS by the creator of the raildriver interface

    "This is an update to let everyone know what I am hoping to achieve in the next version of my software.

    Since the update to TS2015 has included an updated Raildriver.dll I am looking at using that which will mean:-
    1) No more editing of the engine scripts with the Railworks Editor, you should be able to just run the new TS2015 Raildriver Interface.
    2) As the new dll allows you to get the name of the engine you are driving I will try to load any keymaps automatically.
    3) I hope to be able to allow you to re-assign a lever so the Reverser or Independent Brake could be used as the Sifa/Cruise Control on Diesel or Electric trains.
    4) After completing 1 - 3 I will look at having analogue gauges for brake / steam pressure etc displayed on a second monitor.

    All this depends on me deciphering the new function calls in the dll"

    Interesting possibilities there I think.

    New from the DP Simulation site, text from their FB page;

    "New Repaint Pack Released
    I have just uploaded an extremely comprehensive new BR Blue Grey Mk1 coaching pack to the DPSimulation website courtesy of Richard Fletcher.
    Utilising the Mk1 coaches included with the Clan 6MT addon, the pack includes nine different variants of passenger coach, including all four sleeper types. Also included are six repaints of the BG full brake, depicting blue and blue grey liveries with branding for Express Parcels and Newspapers, also unbranded versions too (to partially mimic a GUV).
    Improvements and modifications include a fully reskinned passenger view and the aliasing of AP sounds, although these are not essential. For the day coaches, empty versions are provided for sidings and ECS workings (except the BSK which has no passengers by default). An amended .bin file is also provided for a full brake that if included in a non-passenger consist (parcels train for example), it will enable the user to activate station stops (see below for detail of all of these). Internal lighting is also added where appropriate to some BG's.
    This mammoth coach pack can be downloaded from the 'Coaching Stock' section of Richard's page by following this link."

    From DT's FP page;

    "We did announce earlier that various items would be released on Steam in the future. We regret to say for various reasons this will no longer be the case. We're reworking our shop and website and will be continuing direct sales."

    I wonder if this is due to steam withdrawing their game mod selling service. This would have been a low cost method of selling. But could also be many other things.

    Update for owners of the DT LMS Compound Pack for £2.99. You must own the original pack. DT had planned to put a new pack on Steam and provide existing owners with a free upgrade. However it has not proved possible to do this, so now the upgrade has a small charge. I would presume this is because there will no longer be access to the extra sales on steam which would have covered the development costs.
    New larger, textures
    Models reworked
    8 new coach models, including Midland railway and Carmine livery
    Scenarios and new updates to come (valid until end 2015)

    From a post on UKTs by Matt Peddleston about changes to the Raildriver dll in the update;

    Yes Those are the new commands I added to Raildriver.dll to enable complete access to all controllers in the loco, read and write.

    I'm think I'm going to be writing on article or two for Engine Driver detailing how it all works soon so keep your eyes peeled.

    Suffice to say with my own test Raildriver and joystick client I can drive anything now, scripted or not, virtual controls or not, without modifying the loco at all!

    It Should Still Be all backwards compatible with anything that works using the old raildriver.dll, all I've done is add a bunch of new commands, so you can use Either (or both) sets of commands as you wish.

    Not really on topic, but as regards Maggie Thatcher, although she did some good, she also did a lot of harm that we are still paying the price for. At the time the unions were out of control, getting involved in politics to a degree that was not in the best interest of their members, or the country. Maggie's answer was to smash them whatever the cost, and the cost was high. She is hated with a vengeance by most in Scotland and quite a few people in other parts of the UK. There were people who actually celebrated the announcement of her death. Some of her policies were ill thought out and have produce sociological changes that are detrimental to this country. The blame is not all hers, the unions were to blame as well, but a different approach should have been taken. Personally I think it is the perfect illustration of why a strong leader needs a strong opposition, and illustrates why we have such a dangerous situation in Scotland where there is no effective opposition to the SNP.

    I am having a problem that sometimes when I click on send to make my post, random sections of the text are being deleted. This does not happen every time, but is very annoying, and takes many attempts to correct.

    So I've read a few days ago .... We get a lot of other problems in the near future.

    Off topic, but most of the British think none of the politicians are worth voting for.
    The situation with the GDL reminds me of times past here. To take on the representation of other grades is divisive and an attack on the other Union(s), I have seen where this leads, it is not good
    For some reason a lot of my post is being deleted when I send it. The election may be inconclusive and it may not be possible to form a government, then another election will be needed. Regarding the Euro, I have always thought that this was flawed from birth, but opinion seems to be that Germany would fare the best if the Euro failed.

    I have no sympathy for any union that plays politics, That is not what they are there for, they are there to look after their Members and their conditions. In the time since I left the railways the pay has become much higher, but the conditions much worse. My former colleagues now regularly work 14 hour shifts, the legal maximum and a big problem if their last train is late. In my time 9 hours was the most, or 12 if you volunteered for overtime. When they have their days off they have to be on stand-by for a certain amount of these days, available at short notice.In my time you could volunteer to work these days as overtime, but the company could not force you to do so. I had free travel over the UK, Europe, Scandinavia and even as far afield as Canada. Now they have limited travel in Scotland, and so on, and so on. Historically unions and politics have gone hand in hand over here and the relationship between unions and management was a disgrace and far from beneficial to the union members. From here it looks like you may be going the same way there.

    Interesting to see the pay scales, here in Scotland a Treibzugfuhrer earns £43000 a year before tax once he has completed his probationary period. The reason is nothing to do with unions, it is privatisation. None of the companies wish the expense of training new drivers, so they try to entice drivers from other companies. So the other companies pay more to keep their drivers, one of the many flaws in privatisation. We have two unions for train-crew RMT and ASLEF, both have the right to represent all train-crew, but traditionally RMT have represented all grades and ASLEF only footplate staff. Most drivers belong to ASLEF, but very few other train-crew because they are seen to put train-drivers interests ahead of the other grades. I would say that the GDL should be very careful what they wish for if they seek to represent all train-crew grades, they may find themselves with a very big headache unable to please anybody. As to pay, sadly very few people in this world are paid what they are worth, I have had the dubious pleasure of being involved in strike action, and we always lost more than we gained. Unfortunately unpaid overtime is prevalent in too many industries, in reality it is a pay cut as essentially it is reducing your hourly rate. Just to put things into context I earned £13000 a year as a Lokfurher when I left the railway in 1997. Now I wouldn't want the job, because the conditions of employment are garbage. I have sympathy with both the TF's and the passengers, but none for those in the unions and the Bahn playing politics with peoples jobs. Unfortunately it was ever the way here as well.

    I have also had problems inserting links. When I clicked send most of the text in the post disappeared. When I tried to edit, the text reappeared, until I clicked send again and it disappeared again. After a few tries I gave up and just posted an edit that the post wouldn't show.

    It is an in-house development, Mark of JT has been working on this route. From his post on UKTS;
    Hi all,

    I've been working on the above route and it is finally in the final stages of completion.

    More info on the route finden Sie at:

    http://www.justtrains.net/product/kyle-of-lochalsh-line

    More info:

    "The Kyle Line", as it is sometimes known, is one of Britain's greatest railway journeys.

    Inverness is the capital of the Highlands, located 158 miles north of Edinburgh and 561 miles from London, and Stillwell over 100 miles from John O'Groats at the very northern tip of Scotland!

    The Kyle Line features an authentic and highly atmospheric reproduction of the line from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh and is Approximately 85 miles in length, with 16 stations featuring custom buildings.

    As you drive along this fantastic route you will be able to take in the beautifully detailed scenery besides Loch Carron and the Beauly Firth as well as stunning Highland landscapes around Achnasheen.

    The Kyle Line includes challenging gradients as steep as 1 in 40 and scenarios up to three hours in length to challenge your driving skills.

    It's a route I have long wanted to recreate in TS so to finally see it nearing completion is amazing.

    Regards,
    Mark

    A high quality add-on with many many individual variants of the loco modelled. As near EL standard as possible with a high level of scripting, high quality sounds and scenarios included. Only thing missing are the flames coming out of the exhaust on a dark night with a heavy load 8o
