TS2017 Raildriver and Joystick Interface V3.3.0.1 released


1. Added a new option in the File menu called “Check For Updates”. The program will check the download website to see if there is an update available for the software.
If there is, it will ask you if you wish to download it, if you say Yes, you will be directed to the download site. It does not do an automatic install you still have to copy the downloaded files over yourself.

2. Added a new option on the Settings menu called “Automatically Check For Updates”. This does the same as 1 above, but it will check every time the program starts.
3. Your ControlNames.txt file will no longer be overwritten when you copy a newer version over an old version. Instead of updating the ControlNames.txt file, the program will merge any controls from the Updates\ControlNames.txt if it exists.
4. Improved the code so that when you start a scenario, TS will try to match the train switches with your physical switches in your home made cabs.
5. Removed the double check nag when assigning buttons in a buttonmap
6. The program now forces an update of the serial data sent when a loco is changed.
7. Script fixes and LeverMaps added for the “Gold Star DR73106 Ballast Tamper”, “D&RGW SW1200“, and “Baldwin Consolidation - from Clear Creek Old Timer Rolling Stock Pack Add-On”

As usual, all existing users simply extract the files in the download to you current folder overwriting all existing files.

Couple more for the Bahnpark, Artitec are donating 30% of sales to Ukraine, so a flat wagon and bicycle coach came my way. The Roco BR 230 is very nice, sounds good.

For a change, new to the waggon park. Blue Circle IWB, Brake Van CAR , 2 x Pilchards, 6 x Salmon Panel track Wagons, 1 Dutch Rolling Roof Wagon from Artitec, 2 x German wagons. All but one to celebrate the return of Model Rail Scotland after two years.

It has always been this way since AP started in the very early days and more and more other people got involved. Jordi who created the DTG model has worked on AP projects a number of times.

Select add entry, top right, and a new page will appear. Fill in the relevant sections and upload the file(s). Most people upload the readme as a separate item, in addition to the one in the scenario file. Hit send, and then once the admin have checked it over, it will become live. One tip, if you fill in the sections in English with auto translate active for that page, it can sometimes change your English text in unpredictable ways when it reverts back to German. Better to go back to original language when you type in your entry. With Chrome you can easily move back and forth between original language and translation. Make sure you are in original language when you send.

New posts have clarified that this is a different project and intended for KI only. You are correct it is a mod of the DTG model.

This project has now been revived, and seems to be moving forward now. Textures aren't baked yet.

AP have removed a number of packs that they feel no longer meet present day standards.

No definitely not a class 40, these locos were still common in Aberdeen when I started my railway career. I have a feeling the sound is from the engine room itself, and a little misleading, if it is what I think it is. Time will tell.

Looking at Facebook there were problems with it after I went offline. There should be a soundpatch soon as well, probably on ATS

Personally I would say wait for a sale, it won't be long coming either.

As we would say DTG have made a right pig's ear of this one. Universal bad reviews, poor sound, physics, interior, and shape errors.

maerklin Yes the tilting is functional on the whole train, but the pantographs don't tilt, even though the power cars do, as in real life. It is sitting on 24" curves so the tilt is not so obvious.

New in the bahnpark. Never thought I would see this as even a ltd edition, but now Hornby have released it as a production item . Just need to get around to re-building the layout now, so many things to do

This could be a problem for those who bought the route from steam, unless AP loads a patch to their own site for the steam version. If you have to wait for DTG to upload an update to steam, we will probably all be pensioners by then
