QD uses the weather you set it to use.
If you have chosen dynamic weather, then it uses Silverlining. If you haven’t, and you have installed AP weather correct(!) then AP weather will be used. With no problems at all! If you know how (using weather triggers in the qd scenario) you can use almost all the same features as in a normal scenario. You certainly wont “castrate” qd by installing AP weather. It will have exactly the same features as it used to have, only much nicer looking. And, as i said, if you know how, you can do a lot more with weather in qd than without AP weather. I have randomised showers in many of mine. Never possible untill AP2 weather.
If AP2 weather does not work in your qd it’s is user error.
