Btw, i didn’t say my performance issues with AP had anything to do with framerates, did i? It’s actually a question of increased loading stutters. And my system is fairly highend, so it’s not an issue i see even on routes like Münster Bremen, which runs like hot butter on my machine.
Zur Thema performance:
I swapped some vegetation on the standard HH -H.
Ap vegetation is MUCH heavier on the cpu, despite their claim to the opposite.
I agree that the AP vegetation is too dark.
Ok i've been wanting to ask this for a long time. I've been looking at filestructures etc, but i am still not quite getting it. So i hope someone is kind enough to help me get started,
Let's say i want to replace the asset RSSLO_Pine4_Near in Passau Regensburg with the asset Ap Tree Near Pine 5 from the AP vegetation pack.
How would i do that?
I can’t say i noticed anything different on the Pegnitztalbahn. Not on Dresden Riesa or Frankfurt Köln or Hamburg Nannover.
Why are you seeing AP vegetatiin when i’m not.
Zur info: I am not running mods on any of these.
I think i’m going to backup yet one time, and then buy the vegetation pack and see what happens. With a backup i can always go back. And really i want to learn to swap vegetatiin, so why not use the pack as asset pool?
If only someone would make a guide to swapping vegetation.
Or a tool (if possible).
I would also seriously be willing to pay for someone swapping the vegetation on RSSLO routes with the AP vegetation. I’m putting 50€ on the line here, on the condition that the upgrade be made available for all members on this forum. It’d be my christmas present to my wonderful nerdy train friends here.
Been putting quick drive spawnpoints through their paces. I can say now that the page 2 bug is fully fixed.
Man i can work in a whole other tempo when not worrying about when the show stopping bug would occour. No need for wasting time on cache clearing etc….
I HAVE to make REAL DRIVES for this when it comes out.

Some cautious good news. Been working a bit on new drives, and finishing drives that i had to stop working on because of the now fixed page 2 bug. I had a LOT of drives in a near finished state.
In the meantime, while working on the Südbahn drive, i discovered what causes RSSLO signalling to sometimes be very slow. And since signalling is important to the experience of Real Drives, i now feel it’s fun to work with RSSLO stuff again.

My plan is to release a giant bundle between christmas and new year. So unless life happens and it gets delayed, this is what is in wait for you all. As you can probably imagine, sitting on all this work and not being able to complete them completely has been REALLY frustrating, so can’t wait to sharing this with all of you.

All in all, the newest update seems to have fixed a lot of problems for me
Performance mit KI schlechter sein.
Das gilt für jeder art Szenario. Nicht nor QD.
And may i also add that TSC unloads the trains when you get far enough away from them, so really it is not much of a concern. I’ve made QD scenarios with 50-100 trains and it really does not take much performance.

I certainly hope they are going to put some vegetation in there.
QD spawn page 2 bug seems to be fixed in the latest update.
The update notes says they’ve adressed things that were only using 32bit memory. And this is indeed what i’ve been saying was the problem for years.
QD page two bug seems to be fixed in this update.
