Re-post from UKTS with the authors' (Alpenman) permission;
Hey all, I originally posted this over at Railworks America but I thought I'd share it here too http://railworksamerica.com/forum/posti ... 0&p=190645
I have been working the past few weeks on improving the 3D weather system introduced in Train Simulator 2015. I have finally reached the point that I am happy enough with the changes to show everyone what I have done.
This mod aims to improve the color of the sim and create a more realistic effect than the default 3D weather system.
Main Improvements include:
-Much more blue and realistic sky
-More prominent clouds
-Larger sun and moon
-Higher contrast and saturation
-Darker shadows
-More intense rain
-Darker nights

Backup All Files before continuing!
Copy the two SilverLining files to your Silverlining directory:

Load a scenario using 3D weather (or quickdrive). You MUST have dynamic clouds enabled for the 3D weather to work.

Please let me know what you think. I hope to continue improving this mod as I believe there is still a lot that can be done with SilverLining.
An update to the mod to fix some odd moon lighting at night
