  • REAL DRIVE advanced München - Rosenheim

Drive the densely trafficked main line from München Hauptbahnhof to the busy hub at Rosenheim, where 4 important railway lines meet. This REAL DRIVE makes it possible to Real Drive the triangle of Salzburg, München and Brenner if you have the applicable Real Drives.

Everything in a REAL DRIVE advanced scenario is randomized (except the route of the player train). Just the combinations of places where you might be stopped by a red signal can exceed millions of permutations. All trains and rolling stock on sidings are random generated too. Just like in real life the railroad line can be busy or not so busy. Ofcourse it can also happen (very rarely) that the line is free all the way.

Don't forget to follow the instructions in the README.

  • I've noticed that you provide these scenarios for the original DTG routes, but, many of us now drive on the enhanced and upgraded routes provided freely from the German community, Amisia has done one for this particular route Munich to Rosenheim. So, they generally have new authentic and realistic signalling and trackwork from other developers, many of the DTG offerings are now 10/11/12/13 years old, or, more, so I like to utilise the newer, fresher looking layouts, will your quick drive packs work on these routes without any speed and signalling problems, please??

    • They might work on the deluxe routes. Try copying the scenarios over to the deluce routes scenario folders.

If the builders of the deluxe versions kept the destination/platform markers and the track layout from the dtg version it will probably be fine. Try it and get back to me, and if you can open the scenario, i’ll adjust the preloads.

But in the end i do them on the standard routes just for the same reason as 3dzug etc does. Despite the deluxe versions being better, there are sometimes multiple versions, and the only one you can reliably be sure people have is the standard version. The Algaübahn is a great example, ihow many versions does it have? I count 4 including the RSSLO version. Satisfying every users personal choice is futile. Another example is HH H which has yet a deluxe version coming from the RWA forum. So i would have to make one for each version if anything is changed in the track infrastructure. It’s just too much work. I have a big family, fulltime work, a dog and i play gigs in the weekend.

Another reason is that people run highly specialised stock on those routes, and if i had to have my users hunt all the correct repaints down, most would frightened away. And it would be so much work for me to make preloads of entirely correct rolling stock instead of using the pool that i have.

I have also run into signalling problems on some of them, so if i make the drive accordingly and a change is then made by the builder, then days of work from me might be wasted.

But as i said: if you test that they open correct in deluxe versions, i will do the rest of the work. Let’s hope the builder kept all markers.

  • I'm trying to understand the principle: if I choose the "db BR 423" I have no stops between Rosenheim and Munich. I only have two options: stop at Munchen Ost or Munchen Hbf. So this real route is reserved for long-distance RE trains? Thanks

    • With a Real Drive you can stop at any of the stations between the start and the end of the run.

    • You can stop anywhere you like, but this one is geared more towards long distance. I have to make a choice because many platforms in this route are in sidings. But you can stop at München Ost and Grafing if you wish.

So why was that my choice? Simply because that is what i enjoy myself, and i make these drives for my own pleasure, and if others like them that’s just a bonus.

Basically they are about interacting with the signals at random points during the drive. And in real life faster trains will get slowed down by slower in front of them, the opposite not so much.

These drives are different each time you play them, because the you run into red signals at different points each time. That’s unique in the world of TSC.

  • Thanks for this download: I don't understand: how can I find out which "realdrive" services are in quickdrive?

Of course I read the readme

    • Hi Denisfl, Go to the quick drive tab. Select a player train. Select München Rosenheim. Scroll the departure menu untill you find the two real drives.

If they are not there, try clearing the cache.
