The release of BR1462 has significantly expanded the selection of rolling stock available in TSC.
However, I was still not fully satisfied with the implementation of many details, so I created this enhancement pack to improve the overall experience.
The changes included in this pack are listed below.
Visual Updates
1. Updated ZZA font
*Replaced the ZZA font with one that more closely matches the real unit.
2. Updated FIS / MFD / MTD displays
*The MFD has been reworked based on the real display.
*Corrected the shape of the speedometer needle.
*Speed digits are now right-aligned.
*The train number and clock have been moved upwards to more closely match their real positions.
*Replaced the header bars on the FIS and MTD.
*Replaced the fonts throughout the displays.
*Adjusted several colour schemes.
*Revised the value-display logic of the traction/braking bars so that their behaviour should now more closely match the real system.
3. Updated PZB indications
*The previous alternating 85/70 flashing indication has been replaced by flashing of the corresponding Zugart indication.
*Added the flashing white-on-black digit indications used during restrictive monitoring.
*Repositioned the information banners to more closely match the real display.
*Fonts and colours have also been revised to better match the real system.
4. Updated EBuLa display and bezel textures.
5. Updated exterior light textures.
6. Updated GSM-R display and adjusted the size of the clock display.
7. Adjusted exterior light brightness.
8. Replaced the vehicle icons.
Functional Updates
1. Major expansion of PZB functionality
*Added monitoring of the maximum permitted speed for each Zugart.
*The G indicator now begins flashing and an overspeed warning is displayed at 105 / 125 / 165 km/h, with a PZB Zwangsbremsung triggered at 110 / 130 / 170 km/h.
*Following a Zwangsbremsung while under the 45 km/h Start Programme, releasing the brake will no longer cancel the 45 km/h monitoring.
*If the train has been manually released from restrictive monitoring, subsequent activation of a 500 Hz magnet will no longer incorrectly trigger an immediate Zwangsbremsung.
*With the reverser in Reverse, a 100 km/h speed supervision is now active and accompanied by an information banner.
*Added information banners indicating the cause of a PZB Zwangsbremsung.
*Added the S indicator during a PZB Zwangsbremsung.
*The Zugart indication is no longer displayed with the reverser in Neutral or Reverse.
*Changing Zugart now resets the current PZB monitoring state.
*Zugart can no longer be changed while the train is moving.
*A PZB Zwangsbremsung now also commands dynamic braking.
*Under active 1000 Hz / 500 Hz monitoring, travelling below 10 km/h for 15 seconds will now transition into the corresponding 45 / 25 km/h restrictive monitoring mode.
*500 Hz monitoring now includes both the long monitoring and short monitoring phases.
2. Added traction lock logic.
3. The spring-applied parking brake can now only be applied while the train is stationary.
4. SIFA can now be acknowledged using the button on the traction/brake controller handle.
5. Disabled the AFB target-speed pop-up.
6. When SIFA is active in voice-only mode, the SIFA icon is now displayed in white instead of yellow.
7. The reverser can no longer be moved while the train is in motion.
8. Dynamic braking is no longer available while the main circuit breaker is open.
Physics Updates
1. Adjusted the traction and braking curves
*Revised to more closely match the real vehicle.
*Driving behaviour should now be smoother and more stable.
Sound Updates
1. Added the RSSLO standard sound effect to the SIFA pedal.
Installation
1. Drag the Assets folder into your main RailWorks directory and choose to replace all files when prompted.
2. Run "Install_BR1462_Patch.bat" located inside the Assets folder.
3. Installation is complete.
Please make sure that RSSLO BR1462 is already installed before installing this enhancement pack.
Enjoy driving!
Some displays and functions may still differ from the real vehicle.
If you encounter any issues or have any suggestions, please leave a comment. If a proposed change is feasible, I may implement it in a future update when appropriate.
However, I currently have no plans to make any further changes to the audio.

Hi, while driving I may have found a bug in the PZB. While you are already under restriction and have to press the alert button again at a new signal, emergency braking is immediately triggered at the magnetic level. I don't if my explanation makes sense, but here is also a Video: PZB Bug
Thanks for your greate work.

Hallo.

Hi, great upgrade package. It makes the train a lot more fun right away. However, I feel like the braking performance hasn't really improved. Even with maximum braking power set to 95% on the combination lever, I can't come to a stop at a stop signal 1000m away. Is there another setting I need to adjust, or should I set the real (right) brake lever to that strange -100%
Edit: It looks like the problem only occurs with dual traction.
MurphyZH
I’ll have a look at that. In my tests, the braking performance has been quite good, and the electric braking system already closely matches the actual curve; I’ll look into the air braking system first.

Perfect, thanks! I just wanted to let you know that this is a problem that occurred before. The physics update for the Mireo has the same problem with double traction and longer braking distances. [KBS172] RSSLO Baureihe 463 Mireo Physikupdate

Thanks a lot for this great EP. Is there actually a way to add a picture of the EBuLa as well?
MurphyZH
If you’re referring to an EBuLa with page-turning functionality, there are no plans for that at present.
